The room i got was lovely. Private bathroom with shower and heated floor and a window that can be opened. Hair dryer. Room was spacious enough, a lot of place to hang up clothes. A table, small fridge, water boiler, TV, comfy bed, pleasant design and atmosphere, view outside - nice.

Was quite hard to move around the territory with a heavy luggage, since the paths and roads were icy and slippery. Would have appreciated if they cleaned or put real sand on the path to the reception and around the territory. The breakfast was ok, but i would have preferred more warm foods available. Like fried eggs with bacon would have been nice. I got a feeling that the receptionist didn't like me from the beginning. Didn't see a good reason for that. The checkout is too early in my opinion. I had to pay 150, just to get to check out at 12.00.

Well appointed kitchen; complimentary breakfast with varied offering including my personal favourite: hot porridge, and good bread. I visited at the end of January and, the hostel is warm throughout, and exceptionally clean. I stayed in a twin room last year which was terrific. This year I booked a dorm which was very good too: beds were comfortable and, there was adequate space. Reception staff were helpful when I needed advice on where to start the Askerselva river walk. Hostel is well located at around 10 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop and, then around 30 minutes by tram to Oslo Sentrum.

Great breakfast with a great variety that changes slightly every morning. Everything was fresh and yummy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even helped us order a pizza! Guest kitchen was well equipped and clean Location was good for public transport connections as is the rest of the city really. The hostel location is quiet and felt safe for my family The room was as described and warm maybe a bit too warm but better than cold! We would definitely stay again!

The room was really hot and even turning the radiator to off it was hot, we kept opening the windows for a while to cool off but still better than being cold! The room had no ventilation either, it had an extractor above the shower ensuite but it wasn't working so had to keep opening the windows for ventilation Above 2 are minor problems The walls are a bit thin so Saturday night loud guests were keeping us up chatting and laughing but this wasn't the hostels fault Few faults in the room, one of the bed lights kept randomly turning on all night, had to unplug it, again minor problem, other problem was the toilet handle in the room was loose and ready to fall off but didn't Even with the above problems, we would definitely stay again!

Effort of the organizers is clear in every single aspect of this hostel: it's very clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are furnished in the most comfortable way possible, there's a lovely lounge if you need space to work on your laptop, there's good breakfast included, there's a kitchen if you prefer to cook (I haven't used it during my short stay, but it's very important for me as an option). Other hostels can't seem to compete in this price range. What a great place.

If I absolutely HAVE TO say something negative - the hostel is not in the city center. It's pretty close to the metro, so you won't have issues getting to it from the train station quickly, but if you want to walk - it'll take you almost an hour.

We had a nice new room. We were also allowed to park the car at the hotel parking earlier than check in.

It wasn't written anywhere in the booking that we will have to share balcony with the other appartement. It was super hot in the room, the ventilation didn't work properly, so the only way to cool down was to keep open the door to the shared balcony as there were no other windows... The breakfast was fine, but could be better: the space to serve food was very small for such a big hotel, so it was overcrowded. Also the description of the food can be written better, as for both morning we stayed some food was signed incorrectly (chicken was written for beans with sausages fir example).

Nice clean and well-kept facilities, excellent shared kitchen (big plus!). Perfectly adequate dorm. Mattress not too soft, which was nice and not always a given. Outside area seemed nice (too rainy to use it during my stay). Staff seemed very nice (only spent a night, so I didn’t interact with them that much). Excellent breakfast! Apart from a nice continental breakfast buffet, they also had baked beans with sausages (which I loved) and eggs (both scrambled and boiled, I think).

Location is quite remote. Took the bus there and found the pedestrian walks they built at the motorway the bus stopped at very confusing (not the hostel’s fault of course, just a heads-up to other guests). Wouldn’t have felt like going back to the city after dropping off my suitcase (if that had been my intention). Some small things: The doors to the rooms close very noisily unless you’re very careful. No curtains at the beds to provide some privacy (it’s not standard, I guess, but it does a lot 🙂). Even though we no longer live in “corona times”, I personally would have appreciated hand sanitizer to have been visibly placed at the breakfast buffet (there was a dispenser next to the door frame when walking into the breakfast area, but I don’t think many people noticed it).

Cereals and cold juices as well as lactose free products. Flybuss stop is nearby hostel and fastest way to airport. Bring nonsliding equipments and maybe car rental is best option to get there in Winter. Almost everywhere have been icy and sliding so get prepared very well. Toilet was very clean and above my expectations. There is a rema 1000 torshovdalen supermarket nearby for your basic needs. Everyone were respectfull in hostel. Do not hesitate your queations against them. They will be cozy

Halal meals can be increased, it is not bad side just suggestion 😊 , temperature could be increased more.

Actually almost every common place was pretty cleaned and well maintaned. Reseptionts are extremely kind (I experienced very polite service and saw how they gently treat other guests). Hotel has separate luggage room, sparated bath- and toilet-rooms, chiling zone equiped with coaches and pillows. A lot of wooden boards, chairs and even el-scooters (available for rent y city apps) stays outside. Tip: check availbility here via different apps and you can of the chepest price for overnighting in Oslo.

Some guests don't care about their used bedding, people leave a room leaving garbage and some stuff inside. Ppl dont care about silence, so you can experience door slaming in the room, but ofc it depends. Nothing critical. Seems like it would be helpful to put a list of the rules on a door in the room og maybe reception staff can remind.

The hotel is in a nice location with a lot of nature and a peaceful atmosphere. The people working there are, like other Norwegians, very nice and helpfull. The two person room was ok for a budget, nothing to write home about. The breakfast was good.

2 small points: 1. The brown bed sheet already on the bed in the room, so not the one you get from the reception to make your bed, was dirty. It could be because they were nice enough to let me check in early and that caused a slip up, but something to point out either way. 2. You can buy a lunch package for 90NOK. It will let you take food in a plastic, pretty large, bag from the breakfast buffet. The only problem with this is that it looks as if you are stealing, because it is not clear to anyone but other people who bought it that you are making a bought lunch package. You are just sitting there sticking sandwiches in a large plastic bag haha.

We liked the cost of the place and it wasn't too far out from the city centre. We only stayed for one night, but we got to see that the place offers a lot to do for people who stay for longer than us - I believe we saw a poster for a live music event amongst other things. In the outside bit, there's chess you can play, table tennis and a lovely area to sit and bask in the quiet surroundings.

It was a little out of our way, but not that far that we had trouble getting to and fro this beautiful hostel and the city centre. Plus, there is a tram stop not too far.
