The hotel is located in a quiet, tree-lined street just a corner away from Avenida Liberdade, a posh and historic neighborhood of old Lisbon. Rooms were clean, modern, and well-appointed. While it's a cab ride away from the other sights in Alfama, most of Lisbon's attractions will require transportation to and from regardless of where you're based, so it's a better option to save on the premium for accommodations in the more touristy areas and instead pay for better amenities and comfort. While there are nice cafes nearby, the breakfast buffet is well worth the extra few euros specially if you're loading up for a day of sight-seeing. Don't forget to ask your waiter for your eggs (I recommend scrambled), since these are cooked fresh in the kitchen and not laid out with the rest of the buffet.

The staff were helpful and communicated really well. G Neto was absolutely fantastic. When my Uber kept taking longer and longer to arrive, Mr Neto helped me with my luggage all the way to the taxi rank a couple of streets away, spoke to the driver and made sure I was settled in the taxi before leaving.

The location was good but road works meant that taxi's took longer eg an initial ETA for the uber would go from 5 minutes to 15minutes or more. It would be better if the hotel could give some guidance\warning about these road works so that drivers would finally a quicker way, or even to meet at the junction corner of the hotel rather than at the front entrance.

This is a lovely, comfortable, and modern hotel that's located just off Avenida da Liberdade, which Wikipedia describes as "the most expensive street to rent or buy property on in Portugal", quite obvious from the shops you see on the Boulevard close to the hotel. That said, it's a very short walk from some of the nicest and most charming neighborhoods in Lisbon: it's a couple of minutes from the neighborhood of Principe Real and the Botanical Gardens, and a 10-minute walk from Bairro Alto. I went for a morning run and was on the waterfront in just 10 minutes. My favorite nearby street was Rua Dom Pedro V, where you will find nice local shops (check Stro for some beautiful high quality linen) and great restaurants (try A Cevicheria, a wonderful Peruvian place that's totally worth the long wait for a table). Further down Rua Dom Pedro V, you will find the Miradoura (viewpoint) do Sao Pedro Alcantara, which offers panoramic views of the city. In short, this hotel gives you a central location that's also quiet and peaceful, away from the noise and crowds on the streets of Baixa (Lisbon's "downtown" for example., if you want to get a good night sleep. In terms of amenities, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom modern and very clean (with a bidet). I did find the room a little bit smaller than I expected, but it had a nice tiny balcony (that doesn't fit a chair but that is perfect for getting some direct sun when you wake up). The rooms have a Nespresso machine, but you have to ask for a hot water kettle if you want to make tea or other types of coffee. The breakfast was excellent, with good quality cheeses, cold cuts, fruits and veggies, and the possibility of ordering eggs the way you like them. I also quite liked that the hotel felt like a boutique hotel despite the fact that it's part of a chain.

The lovely staff really make this hotel, from breakfast staff to reception and the two members .of staff who welcomed us and helped with storing our luggage etc could not have been more friendly and helpful. We also had a most unexpected surprise of a gift of a bottle of fizz to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast was delicious especially the omelettes made fresh to order and the selection of fresh fruit was also very good. Room (superior)was super clean and the enormous bed was extremely comfortable. Location was,quiet, central and just 10/15 minutes walk to the main squares and shops.

Nothing really, perhaps our room was a little tired and as previously noted, no drawers for clothes?

This is perhaps the third or perhaps fourth time that we’ve stayed here. We love the location, as it’s in the area of Lisbon that I never tire of seeing, and it’s so easy to get to the areas we want to visit. The room we were in this time was lovely-it was on the fourth floor in front of the beautiful leafy trees. We’d definitely have that room the next time, if we could! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is lovely and big. The soaps have the most wonderful smells! The hotel is on front of a beautiful museum, which is definitely worth going to, tho we didn’t have time on this visit.

Vincci Liberdade’s staff, rooms, breakfast, location, and value are the reasons I love to stay at Vincci Liberdade. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, polite, and always friendly. The location is ideal; a beautiful setting yet walkable to most downtown attractions and close to Lisbon’s excellent metro system. The beds are comfortable and room size is adequate for two travelers.

Please consider adding a hair towel for travelers, especially when leaving only one bath towel per person. Also, we would gladly do without the sponge and hair comb and would have preferred to have been supplied with at least one bar of soap. Finally, although the shower provides adequate flow of hot water, water spills onto the bathroom floor due to the way the shower door doesn’t stay closed, which either completely soaks the floor towel or leaves a puddle on the floor.

Vincci Liberdad - my best choice! A great hotel, in a good and quiet area, 2 seconds walk from Av Liberdad, extremely clean (cleaning in the room and changing towels daily), with an excellent breakfast and wonderful people dedicated to their work! Whoever we addressed, everyone served us and helped us with love. Special thanks to Innes and Amish and everyone else, but I don't remember the names. Everyone was extraordinary. I highly recommend this hotel.

there's nothing not to like!

We were warmly welcomed by reception on arrival. They were friendly but not overbearinly friendly. It was my husbands 40th birthday on the day of arrival and they brought campagne and a mini cake to the room. A lovely gesture. The location was perfect for us. We always just like to stay a step outside the tourist areas. We were very near the metro, which is easy to use (took it to airport on way home also) We were a short walk from the hop on hop off bus so we used that like a taxi also. The hotel itself was very clean, shower was nice and the room wasn't noisy at all. We didn't use the pool area but was nice to look at from the room. A few little coffee shops if you turn right when leaving the hotel.. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all x

Your hotel exceeded our expectations! Thank you for focusing on guest experience. Checkin was perfect, staff were very helpful and friendly. It was my husbands birthday and I asked for a complimentary upgrade. We were given a beautiful room on the third floor with a balcony AND champagne and cake. How very lovely. We normally would not access breakfast but scheduled for following day. The food was freshly prepared, great variety of choices, staff very professional, and coffee superb😊 Any question we had for front desk was answered immediately and the recommendations for restaurants helpful. (location of hotel close to shops, restaurants, and green space) Vincii Liberdade we are very thoughtful as we rate our experience and would not use a five star rating often …. closing comment, keep up the great work on guest experience. Can’t wait to visit your hotel again and considering how busy your restaurant was, we will definitely book dinner at your location .

The restaurant staff during breakfast were lovely, always friendly and welcoming. The quality of the breakfast food was pretty good! It was also genius that the breakfast ends 1 hour later on weekends, what a great idea! The hotel was off the main street, yet close enough and easy to locate. Love the spacious room and comfortable bed.

While it was close enough to the main street, it is a slight upslope to the hotel...I was hoping for some pastel de nata welcoming me in my room after seeing some reviews but there wasn't any. :( A little sad but I still had a good stay. :)
