The location was ideal for exploring Lisbon. The breakfast selection and quality were exceptional, and the staff were attentive and professional. The balcony view overlooking Liberdade was a perfect way to end the evening. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touch.

The room’s design is somewhat dated and could benefit from a refresh. It also felt a bit on the smaller side.

If you’re after a city centre hotel with a pool, this is a good choice. Pool is at the neighbouring 5 Star Tivoli but access is given to AVANI guests. Pool bar prices may be seen as a tad expensive (€7 for a coffee or coke, €20 cheese toastie) but there is an Aldi in the next street and there was no issue bringing your own drinks and snacks. The sun loungers are really comfortable, towels provided, pool staff bring complimentary frozen snacks and offer waiter service at your sunbed.

Construction work nearby so was a little noisy one morning & missing hairdryer in the room.

This hotel is nearby a metro stop (Avenida) and some decent tourist spots (Praca dos Restauradores and Marques de Pombal) as well as restaurants (Yuppie restaurant & rooftop was good). My room came with a decent sized balcony. Getting to the airport via metro was easy and quick (maybe 30 minutes total including a transfer). Breakfast was pretty good.

AC was somewhat loud. Although this hotel's location was decent, I felt like there weren't enough "fun" spots in the area (other than Yuppie rooftop). Their breakfast was pretty good but I just wished they had more hot options other than scrambled eggs.

I liked the small boutique feel of the property. My room was spacious and well appointed with stocked mini fridge, bottle water, a Nespresso expresso machine (!), a steamer for clothes, and even a cork yoga mat! A full American breakfast buffet was in the lobby restaurant (a Japanese signature restaurant in the evening - Shogun has an excellent array of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese fare (the highlight of my dinner was the beautifully arranged Hamachi with ponzu sauce and salad green. I stayed for 2n and will definitely stay at Avani Avenida Liberdade Lisbon Hotel on my future trips to Lisbon!

This hotel is good for a couple of nights in Lisbon. The bedrooms were nice, quiet, and comfortable. The reception was nice, and the pool. The breakfast was very good. We only had drinks while sitting in the lounge area (outside the bar), but that was pleasant enough.

The location is just a bit off, but that is probably why it is so quiet. It is within walking distance to the main street, but the irregular surface of the walkways and streets makes it pretty scary to keep one's balance. Also, there are signs of maintenance neglect in the lounge seating area that give an otherwise beautiful room a dingy feel.

The car park, when you get there is excellent and secure. Staff were amazingly helpful both in the hotel and restaurant. We had to replace some items we had left at our previous hotel and the staff provided store options and arranged lifts there and back. Priceless service I would say. Decent sized room. Very nice outdoor pool. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and was very tasty, we didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment but we did stop by for a couple of drinks in the evening. Location is great with easy access to the Metro and only two stops from the main restaurant area in the city and the other attractions. Very safe to walk around.

It was quite difficult to find the hotel arriving by car, set off the main avenue and not visible. The road system drove the SatNav into meltdown. Although the room was a decent size we felt there was too much furniture in there which restricted space a bit. The balcony was a bit narrow and made me uneasy. I brought this on myself as I requested a balcony naively thinking I would have a room on a lower floor without requesting it. Live and learn! Although the pool was lovely, it did seem to be a shared facility and was always packed.

The hotel was well located and we enjoyed the outdoor pool. Staff were mostly friendly and the breakfast buffet was good.

The Japanese restaurant dominates the public areas. As a result, when the restaurant is open, there is no lounge space at all - this was a shame for us as we enjoy a drink/game after dinner. The bedrooms were also pretty small (normal for a city centre hotel) and the breakfast staff could have been more friendly.

Great location walking distance to everything next to adjacent hotel Tivoli which is a more premium hotel but not as well run as Avani. Nice clean rooms great staff very helpful. Maira Prata at the front desk helped us a lot to navigate reservations and changes due to our changes from the cruise line. Even though the Avani hotel is a 4 star we would say the service and WiFi was better than the adjacent Tivoli hotel which is a 5 star while we share the same pool with the same owner.

Sone of the hardware like plugs were broken and the soap dispensers didn't work

Amazing location, lovely staff, immaculate cleanliness, convenient parking at a reasonable price, delicious breakfast, large room, excellent attitude to our dog.

Air conditioner noise 24/7. Improper bed arrangement and sheets move at night. The lobby is closed in the evening for the restaurant, so there is nowhere to sit outside the room. We couldn't turn on bedside lights. The TV broadcasts very few stations and there is no connection to Netflix or YouTube. None of this is expected of a hotel at its own cost.

The front desk staff was welcoming and very helpful. Our rooms provided a beautiful view, were quiet, and well appointed. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and the food choices were great. We also really enjoyed the coffee machine! We greatly appreciated the room upgrade for our friend to place her room next door to our room. It is these actions that set your hotel apart from others.
