The room was super clean and cozy. Excellent tea and coffee amenities. The beds and pillows were just incredible. Together with blackout curtains they provided a super recharging night. The hotel stuff was extremely caring and helpful. Location is nice, spacious and green street in front but no noise is heard inside the hotel. Lots of luxury stores nearby. Easy to start your walking tour of Lisbon from it or just jump into the taxi or walk a bit till the subway for a full experience.

Staff very attentive and courteous. It has a garage with valet parking which is very handy. The check in/out is efficient and breakfast is plentiful and healthy. We had an issue with our mattress which was promptly resolved and the manager paid us a visit to find out our level of satisfaction with the new mattress. Additionally, she was sensible enough to offer us a late check out with complementary luncheon as a genuine act of hospitality. In summary, a French hotel in all senses.

This was our first time in Lisbon. We travelled from Porto so we were glad to see a friendly face at the door waiting to take our car & help with luggage. We got a beautiful room with great views of the area. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday & he was delighted to see a small cake waiting in the room after our long drive from Porto (thank you!) the room was beautifully designed - loved the bathroom with great lighting & mirrors to do make up. We had cocktails at the bar (very friendly & helpful bar staff!). The cocktails were very refreshing & we enjoyed the bar snacks. We ate our evening meal at the restaurant - it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ate at (we had the pork cheek & dry aged fillet - incredible!). When we came back from exploring the city centre we noticed our slippers had been placed beside the bed along with camomile tea -such a nice touch . The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. I really hope this review will do our wonderful experience justice. It was a pleasure to stay here

The staff were very helpful. We stayed at the hotel and celebrated the bday of my 3 year old son. We were given cake and a bottle of champagne. We felt the champagne was over and above. The staff at the restaurant were so helpful too and friendly and nice.

The hotel facilities look old and requires improvement. Like the elevator, open and close slowly, the side of the lift looks worn out. The carpet on the 3rd floor looks dirty and not like a 5 star quality that you expect for sofitel. The gym layout wasnt good, split in two rooms with no space.

My checkout experience was not good. It took over 30 minutes for the front desk staff to sort out some billing error made by another team member. Finally I had to pay for my 5 nights stay once again even though the hotel had a pre authorization to cover my stay plus possible extras for which my bank had already debited me. So I had to leave with a substantial part of my credit card used up and will have to wait for 2 separate refunds as explained by the hotel staff.

My stay at the Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade was truly exceptional. The hotel is located in the heart of Lisbon on the famous Liberdade Avenue, making it conveniently close to major attractions and luxury shops. The rooms at the hotel were luxurious and comfortable, equipped with all the modern amenities a guest could need. The interior design of the rooms was elegant and sophisticated, adding a touch of luxury and style to the stay. The welcome at the hotel was warm and welcoming, with the staff always ready to assist and cater to the guests' needs with great care and professionalism. I highly recommend staying at the Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade for anyone visiting Lisbon, as it ensures a luxurious and comfortable hotel experience in a prime location. I will definitely return to stay here again in the future.

Misinformed about breakfast time by front desk which we had paid for. We arrived 26 minutes before the end of the informed time and the restaurant staff were very unprofessional even though it was not our fault we had been misinformed. Resolved by manager Pedro. This is unexpected for a 5 star hotel. We are regular travellers and have lodged in other 5 star chains in different countries. This was a disappointment

The hotel is centrally located and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.

I was disappointed about the check in process. There were a number of us checking in at about the same time. We were asked to wait for a little while because they were a bit backed up. We were told that an employee would let us know when our room was ready. My husband and I patiently waited, and even ordered a drink at the bar (our expense), but after close to an HOUR, I approached the desk and inquired about our room. Unfortunately, they had forgotten about us. A disappointing check in process.

The staff was extremely friendly. The location was great with some really good restaurants nearby and great shopping too. The service of the staff was up to the five star standard.

The property didn’t really meet the five star expectations. The rooms were average and had a damp smell. The rooms were not as clean as a normal 5star hotel. For the price we paid it did not live up to the value we paid. The bed was horrible you just sunk into it no structure.

Location is great and the room met expectations.

The reception area is chaotic at times. The sense of arrival when there are large queues at check in/out is a serious negative. The check in should be much further back in the lobby and there should be more check in/check out points. Staff at times unfriendly, other times very helpful so I think this is stress of dealing with peak guest arrivals and leaves.
