Helpful staff, particularly on reception, great location. Very good food menu.

Room could be cleaned earlier in the day. The cooked breakfact, poached eggs did not really work as it took ages and eggs were so under cooked they had to be sent back. Coissants seemed to run out very quickly. Could have done with more literature on sights, museums, galleries and the like. Room very noise if windows left open and air conditioning not easy to work.

The location was incredible, and the room was surprisingly spacious and quiet. Very luxurious small hotel, which we like. Staff was outstanding and made great recommendations for dinners. Breakfasts were really amazing. We would love to stay here again, as soon as possible!

The gym was tiny and I understand the limitations of the space. It would be beneficial if they could make it a bit bigger with better/more simple equipment (including a bench). Having a trainer who specializes in training clients in small/limited spaces help design this would be beneficial.

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. The accommodations were fantastic, with clean, comfortable rooms and beautiful surroundings. What really stood out was the staff—they were truly amazing. Always friendly, attentive, and willing to assist with anything I needed. Their helpfulness made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant stay. Can’t wait to return!

The concierge service was outstanding. Turns out that Lisbon is not for me (crowded, smoky, very hilly streets difficult for walking with injury). So I spent most of my time in the hotel which, although on the busy but chic Avienda, was my oasis from the noise and smells of Lisbon. The concierge staff looked after me wonderfully - booked anything I needed, made calls for me, got me to my Fado concert in the park (a must), just everything! And all in English - I'm good with languages but could not get my ear used to Portuguese. They made my time there special and I was grateful. And the serene breakfast courtyard - the one quiet and calm part of the day was lovely, including a nice little plate of gluten free bread.

My room was a bit tight and it faced the back so there was a whirr of fan noise from the buildings behind. Also a nightclub which thumped till 2AM on weekends. None of this was the fault of the Hotel just the reality of the city of Lisbon. I didn't like walking on the streets as the hills were too much for me and a lot of smokers everywhere. Also, I'm very sensitive to smells and the streets of Lisbon do NOT smell wonderful. Again, no fault of the hotel's - I'm really glad I had it as a respite. The city was not my favorite - but the care and kindness of the people, especially staff at Valverde was wonderful!

My initial room had a problem with the aircon not turning off at night as was too noisy to sleep in. I was moved to another room promptly

I really liked this hotel. The location was great and easy to get around. The interior was beautiful and well-decorated. The services were excellent, and everything was well managed. The rooms were nice and comfortable.

The hotel was like a maze and hard to negotiate round. The breakfast was included in the price which was good but at 37€ for people who weren’t staying we thought it was poor. The juices were not freshly squeezed and poor choice of cheeses and cooked meats
