The hotel is well appointed with great facilities, lovely breakfast and very helpful staff We originally booked castello prime suites in Lisbon through booking.com but walked out immediately after entering as it was absolutely unsuitable and unsafe for anyone to stay there. We lost our money and booking.com were no help at all so be warned!

The pool was out of order when we arrived but by the third day it was open. The air conditioning throughout the hotel including the rooms could be updated to make it even more comfortable.

Everyone we interacted with was very friendly, kind and personable. Smooth check in/our process. There’s a lovely scent in the reception area when you enter the hotel. We had a suite and it was super spacious with a very comfortable king sized bed. The shower was great. The swimming pool is lovely and the steam room was brilliant.

The water in the swimming pool was way too cold (even in August!) and they ran out of towels a few times. There are only 2 lifts which can get very busy and there can be delays going up/down.

The room was very nice, big window with blinds that you can open from inside the bathroom to see across your room and out through the window. Overlooking the pool at the back of the hotel. The location is great for the airport, and you are pretty close to everything.

A bit strange that there were no tea or coffee in the hotel room, although from asking friends I believe this is a Portuguese thing, not just this hotel :-) Additionally the bar didn't open in the mornings so you can grab a coffee/drink. Had to go across the road where there are plenty of little cafes and breakfast joints.

Very welcoming staff, very clean hotel and room, good restaurant and excellent breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Yes, the room looked a bit tired, and the aircon was a bit noisy, but this didn't spoil our stay as everything was comfortable and functional. The electric blind in the room was a bonus and helped a lot to keep the scorching sun out. I can't thank the amazing staff of the hotel enough. You made our stay really special!

I didn't particularly like to leave my credit card details for the use of the iron and the ironing board. I do, however, appreciate it is a security measure for the damage of the mentioned above items and the room, and had to be done.

As I mentioned in my previous review, this hotel deserves more than 5 stars. The entire staff, the room, the restaurants (both breakfast and dinner restaurant) are absolutely amazing! Hotel position is also very good, close to bus to center, railway station for going outside Lisbon, subway station for airport and 2 big supermarkets. A new thing that worths to be mentioned: we flew and stayed in Lisbon for a couple of days, went to Cape Verde for 2 weeks and come back to Lisbon for another couple of days. For our trip to Cape Verde we didn’t need any winter clothes. We asked the reception if we can store a part of our luggage with them for the 2 weeks, and it’s been free of charge even. That was a great help for us and than you a lot. We will for sure be back to this hotel anytime we will be in Lisbon!

The breakfast was very rich in variety and great in taste. There was always enough of everything, eggs, bacon, croissant, etc. The receptionists are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Those in charge of breakfast were doing a very good job to make sure things were refilled, tables were clean and available. The room cleaners too were doing a great job to keep the rooms clean and make us feel comfortable in our room. The hotel location is very central and good. Just a few minutes walk to the bus and train stations, and not far from many touristic areas/attractions.

There was no provision for tea or coffee in the rooms. One would expect a 5 star hotel to give guests the opportunity of preparing tea or coffee even at odd hours of the day. The windows of the building in general need to be cleaned from outside. This is of course not expected to be done by the room cleaners, but by specialists for such high building window cleaning tasks.

5 stars are just too few for this hotel. It clearly deserves 6-7 stars! It’s a gorgeous hotel with outstanding staff and facilities! Great food also at restaurant both at the breakfast and dinner at affordable prices. Room is sanitized daily and everything is changed: the sheets, the towels, everything. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are soundproof. Location is close to the metro and railway station and a direct bus station to city center. Also a lidl in walking distance.

- Nice Pool and Spa Area with Sauna - Spacious and clean room with TV, Fridge, Coffee Machine & big bathroom - 24h Reception /Service - quieter area within Lisabon but still okay to walk to centre - good Restaurants & Supermarkets nearby - good to reach from airport as well as close to train station (good if you want to visit Sintra)

The room was fine. The TV remote didn't work but was quickly fixed once they replaced the batteries. The beds were ok but not amazing comfort wise. For the price I expected a little better.

The Pool could have been heated. With the tall buildings around it causes it to be in shadow for a percentage of the day and it was ice cold. It doesn't need to be much warmer but to make the pool useable either side of the summer peak heating it would be a good idea. Beds could do with a refresh to be a bit more comfortable.

On a whim, I booked a return flight from Rome to Gatwick that has a 17 hour stopover in Lisbon. This was ideally located for our purposes as we had a 710h flight to get the day after arrival - on a longer trip to Lisbon, not being "bang central" in the heart of the city might have been more of an issue. Easy check-in, quirky wooden keycards to get into the room and a clean room with a bath!!. So rare to have the option of a bath. Very good access to taxis - I should not really give credit to the hotel for this, but our driver spoke English, drove safely and made excellent suggestions on how to make the most of our evening.
