Great and safe location. The room that we had was very suitable for our needs as we wanted 3 single beds (2 normal and one sofa bed). All very comfortable to sleep in! Even with the extra bed, the room was spacious enough for us. Our room (12) was accessible via stairs and had a view of an opposing wall but that didn’t bother us. The property is small and quiet which we also liked.

Staff were friendly but seemed like there was no communication between members of staff: we had informed that we’d be checking out early in the morning during checking in process. We were promised a packed breakfast but when asked about it on the last night, the other receptionist didn’t know anything about it. Their reply definitely wasn’t 5* but however they were able to organise us with something for the morning. In addition during checking in, the preferred breakfast time was asked however it didn’t seem to make any difference to what was on offer: hot food was often lacking but provided if asked for more. Only offered one fresh glass of juice as well. Maybe not worth booking breakfast in our opinion, Porto itself seemed to have plenty of places open for breakfast.

Stayed in the bigger room with the multiple balconies. Didn't have or try breakfast so can't comment on that. Room was very well equipped for a short or longer stay and was modern. Loved the location within the city overall on a quiet side street but also close to the bar area and other spots. A/C worked great. Good shower water pressure. Perfectly sized helpful kitchen. Room was nice. No complaints.

Construction in the building immediately next door was not ideal for noise in the morning but obviously the hotel can't control that. The shower would sometimes "burp" every 30 seconds or so and cold then very hot water would very briefly come out. Not a big deal though.

Good variety of food at breakfast, all nice and fresh and a lot of it home made. Very friendly and welcoming staff - everyone we met was so friendly and always willing to help. Great room, lots of space, comfy bed and modern bathroom.

Bathroom needs a shelf somewhere. Only storage is below the sink. This makes it look very modern but makes it less practical. One bedside light did not work. The staff member who showed us to our room spotted this, said she would be back to fix it but never returned. Not a massive problem, would probably have been fixed if we had chased it again, but didn’t think we should have to.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was in a good location that was quiet.

Unfortunately due to airport /airline delays totally not our fault, we were unable to check in before 10pm. We were charged a fee to pay someone to let us in. I feel this is part of the cost of running a hotel. We were stuck in the airport for 12 hours due to slow lines in customs which caused us to miss our flight to Porto. Left a little bad taste after traveling for 36 hours to say the least! It's not like we were going to sleep on the sidewalk until it opened the next morning! We have traveled world wide and have never encountered a policy like this. Again, left a bad taste!

Breakfast was average. Location was great although road works and restrictions made access a little difficult. Indeed the whole of Porto centre is not the most attractive place at the moment due to the Metro extension works. To cap it the building next door to the hotel is being renovated (work 8 to 6)! The hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and done up attractively if a bit minimalist. The staff do their best in difficult circumstances and Elizabet was particularly helpful to us with our transfer arrangements. Little snags were lack of shower gel, plug in wash-hand basin not working and towels too small!

Excellent and quiet location. We stayed in one of the suites, which was extremely roomy and had all of the facilities we needed. Very nice decor, which was in perfect condition. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast room is small, with four tables accommodating up to eight people, but it worked for us. The breakfast itself had plenty of choice, although those liking a hearty cooked breakfast (we don't) might be a little disappointed.

More than two Nespresso pods per day (extras available at two euros each). Otherwise all excellent.

Located in an area within walking distance of all main attractions. The hotel was very new with wonderful shower. Functional kitchen equipment. Towel heater. Air conditioner. Nice size fridge. Friendly staff and easy check in. Got a wonderful coffee from the breakfast room in the morning for 2 euro. From the outside , this hotel doesn’t look like much. But boy, does it come as a nice surprise. Value for money. We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Paris at 5 times the price which doesn’t hold a candle to this hotel.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants, coffee shops and tourist locations. The breakfast was really good. It was fresh and had a lot of different options. I loved the omelette, crepes and homemade cake. Our room was modern, comfortable and clean. We liked that we had access to unlimited filtered water. It’s a small thing but we had to buy several bottles of water at the hotel we stayed before so it saved us money and was a nice touch. Lastly, the staff were amazing. They were all super helpful and friendly. We would stay here again for sure and recommend it to all of our friends and family.

The staff were so friendly and so helpful. The room was beautiful and the shower was amazing! Bed was very comfortable and the furniture was beautiful and cozy. We will be recommending this hotel to all our friends in the future! Our only complaint is we wish we had stayed longer. If you don't like stairs, don't book rooms 16/17. Rooms 1-10 seem to be elevator accessible or ground floor. We loved this location central to everything you could want and yet still quiet and charming.

Great location easy walk to time out market and a short 15 minute walk to Mercado do Bolhão. Very calm aesthetic and lovely 2 bedroom studio which was larger than expected. The bedrooms were a little cramped but we didn’t spend much time in there. We only had breakfast one morning and had to sit in the courtyard which was fine. The food wasn’t that plentiful for the cost from memory approx 15 euros . The staff were friendly and always helpful, umbrellas available at reception handy as we had 5 days of rain. Lots of eateries within walking distance .
