Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice and until 12:00h in the day. The beds were super comfortable, and it was quiet. The bathroom door either closes the bathroom or the room as a second door towards the corridor outside, which is a nice touch. The bathroom had a good-size shower, and the room had air-conditioning. Parking was ample and easy. Staff were very attentive. When we didn't know how to turn on the a/c, the man from the reception came up to our room minutes later and sorted it for us.

The room, bathroom, and window were a little on the small side. The air conditioning needed some explanation from the reception staff (you need to turn it on high temperature, even for cooling. The temperature gauge serves only for turning the AC on. Temperature is controlled centrally in the hotel). To get wifi, we had to register on a website first, but then it worked fine.

- couldn't open the window fully - quite noisy from the highway - couldn't turn ventilation on, which forced the window to be opened, which let a ton of noise in - reception desk doesn't have earplugs - absolutely no vegan options to eat downstairs, sustainability, eh?

The service is the best, when I book hotel, I write request sea View Room, then hotel arrange it for me, from window very nice sea View and sunset, my colleague said the window View is beautiful like a picture. Very delicious breakfast Even have strawberry, planty of food, cake, bread, fruits, the hami melon is so sweet, coffee also nice. We spend one day to go around visit Porto city sights, very beautiful city. Stay here 5 nights. See you next time, ibis and Porto! Obligado!

Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. An amazing view of the sunset over the river just outside the hotel.

We decided to have dinner at the hotel. My husband ordered the salad. He only noticed at the end of the meal that it contained sesame seeds which he is allergic to and has had to have hospital treatment in the past. There was no mention of this in the description. He immediately called a member of staff who didn´t seem to speak neither Portuguese or English very well to be able to clarify if the salad did in fact contain seeds. Luckily he didn´t have an allergic reaction this time but perhaps it would be advisable to include seeds in the description of the salad. We were not charged for the salad but would have preferred not to have had the worry.

Amazing price for the quality. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The breakfast was FANTASTIC, the staff was genuinely kind and friendly and spoke great English and Spanish to my group, switching between languages with ease. Also they changed our towels and made our beds daily, something a lot of other hotels have stopped doing since the pandemic unless you specifically request it.

Everything was great, especially for the price. It exceeded my expectations. I would bring my own hair dryer next time as theirs was kinda weak and a pain to use (I have a lot of hair) as you have to hold down a button when operating it and my hand kept getting tired. There’s no pool although they have space for it in the garden area. A pool would be a nice addition.

The room is clean and the breakfast is pretty good! Has a decent selection of foods. My room had a great view and I really enjoyed that! You can see a beautiful sunset. I slept well, although you can easily hear the other rooms on each side so if you are sensible to noise maybe not the greatest option.

I do not recommend this hotel if you are not renting a car. It is quite difficult to get around by foot, it can take a minimum of 40 minutes to get to the centre of porto by foot. There is a bus stop close by so it does compensate in that regard. The staff wasn't so friendly but they did do their job

The hotel rooms at the Ibis Hotel in Porto were very clean, bed linen and towels were changed regularly. The rooms were a bit small, we missed a shelf or a closet where we could put our clothes. The breakfast was quite rich, we were satisfied with a large selection of pastries, bread and fruit. There was also a nice selection of teas, jams, about five different salamis and cheeses, yogurts, cottage cheese, etc. So on the day of our early departure, we were quite disappointed with the contents of the early morning takeaways. When we ordered them the night before we left, we specifically asked for sandwiches, fruit - we specifically wanted bananas and some juice. We only got 2 small pieces of sweet pastry, no sandwiches, one orange was rotten, so was one pear. Oranges are hard to peel if you're traveling, while bananas are much easier to eat on the go. Unfortunately, we only opened the packages at the airport and were disappointed with both the quantity and the content and quality of the prepared breakfast packages. The bar staff were quite unresponsive in terms of serving drinks in the evenings when we sat in the lobby.

We like you just because we usually know what to expect small but clean rooms and a nice selection of food for breakfast.

This time for some reason we were given a room with a bathroom that had not been completely cleaned. Went downstairs to ask about it and they promptly changed us to another room and I checked that and that bathroom had not been completely cleaned. So the third time staff walked up with me to find a third bedroom that was appropriately cleaned. First time we've ever experienced this with Ibis.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and helped make me feel very welcome. Everyone did a fantastic job and really contributed to having a pleasant stay :) The breakfasts were delicious and well prepared, I always felt like I got a good start to the day with the breakfast available. The restaurant and bar service was excellent as well and likewise always very well prepared and professional Thank you to the reception staff who were very helpful and kind, and very patient with my questions. The cleaning staff were considerate and friendly too. The room was perfect, it was tidy and clean with a very comfortable bed. I never had any worries with the room at all It was a really nice stay overall and I enjoyed it a lot. I was actually a bit sad at the end that I did not book more days to stay and visit. Would definitely recommend to friends and family

The location is a bit far out of the way, but I feel people booking to stay here should already know this. It's recommended to travel by taxi. However, if you are someone who enjoys long walks, like me, and you do want to make the walk to, and from, the hotel each time, it might help to know that there are water fountains all across the waterfront along the way there. Getting used to finding the local shortcuts helps too, and lets you see a bit more of Vila Nova de Gaia at the same time. Don't try to walk there carrying luggage though (only a fool would do that...) - trust me, take a taxi when you first arrive...

I love this hotel. This was our second stay here. As usual, everything was top notch. Great staff, very helpful. Great mattresses and pillows. Since we had an early flight and couldn't make it to breakfast, the staff made us a great breakfast box to eat at the airport. Just great and we will definitely come back again
