I liked almost everything about this hotel. If you're looking for a full-service, bigger and comfortable place to stay, this is the spot. We stayed here for our last night in San Jose and it was really comfortable after running around Costa Rica. What you expect from a bigger, chain style hotel. I regret not booking here for our first two nights in San Jose at the beginning of our trip. It was a bit more expensive than the Radisson Park that we booked (don't book there), but in retrospect it would have been wise to pay the extra and stay at the Crown Plaza. Plus the Avis office that we rented our car from is there. BTW, our car rental with Avis went fine and was cheaper than Adobe, assuming they release the multiple holds they still have on my card.

Although the service in the Nazarro (sp?) restaurant was great, the food was so-so. We had fun at the casino right next door however.

One of the best hotel experiences ever! We were being scammed by the taxi driver but we were rescued by the security staff of the hotel, a very helpful and friendly man. He really stood up for us. Additionally, we were offered a room upgrade and so we received access to the Club Lounge. Room was not big but modern and comfortable. The hotel staff is really doing everything they can to serve you.

It is a pity that the hotel never responded to my request for pick-up service (sent months before check-in date). The taxi issues could have been avoided. I just received an out-of-office reply. Lesson learnt for myself: repeat the question closer to the check-in date.

Nice large room and clean bathroom. Pool was fine, gym was good and the bar area ok

Breakfast was not great, friendly staff but the quality of the food was sub standard to any other Crown Plaza I have stayed in around the World. Bar was ok but VERY expensive / over priced

Great hotel and amazing staff members - warm, incredibly polite, efficient, reactive and so welcoming. The staff was what stood out for me in terms of their willingness and efforts which made us feel ever so welcome. Our stay definitely mattered to them!! Great and varied breakfast and again, the restaurant staff went out of their way to make sure each guest was well served. I would definitely go back to this hotel. Most tour operators also pick up from this hotel.

I liked everything.

The property is very clean and the staff is amazing. The staff was very welcoming, they’re always asking if we need anything, and the food here was really good. The best hotel food (restaurants) I ever had! Plus the drinks were great too and strong. I definitely recommend this hotel!

I wish this property was around more excursions and closer to the beach.

We always stay here when we visit San Jose. Excellent accommodations, and the Fuji restaurant is the best in San Jose. Our room had a great view of the light festival parade and drone show this past weekend. the breakfast is exceptional and delicious. my wife and I will only stay here bc it's most comfortable w a great location! close to many attractions and staff help you get a taxi

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very attentive to customer's needs. The Japanese restaurant was superb, but there is a fairly decent supermarket across the road and some very nice restaurants around the corner on Avenda De Las Americas. I would be happy to choose this hotel again.

Amazing breakfast, with many delicious options. The staff were very kind and concerned about ensuring our best experience. It was a 10-minute walk to good restaurants.

Beautiful building with a large central area. Both restaurants were nice with large menus. Casino was a fun way to kill some time in the evening. Staff was great helping us get checked in and setting up a shuttle to the airport. Definitely would stay here again.

My room smelled a bit musty which wasn't great. It was clean and everything else was fine but the minor smell was off putting.

Very clean, nice spacious room and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - seemed safe and in walking distance of some great restaurants.

Nothing about the hotel, but I wish we had picked Avis for our rental car company because they had a return location right next to our hotel.
