My heating and hot water has been broken at home and I needed to go somewhere to have a hot bath and shower and catch up on some work. So, it was great to have a proper bath and comfortable bed to sleep in. As I wanted to work, I needed somewhere with a desk, so I was glad the room had a desk with adequate working space and fast wi-fi. I ordered room service - and it was great to have a menu with a wide choice. The sweet potato chips were delicious.

This is s budget range hotel so some of the furnishings and carpet are showing signs of wear but this was minor and I felt my stay was excellent value.

A comfortable room, decent shower and a lovely restaurant. I had the Korean tacos for dinner - yum! I was travelling on a motorbike, as were two other guests I did not know. A manager sought me out and told me I could move my bike into a function room. There had been some bike thefts from the car park recently. My bike and the others were secured in Fort Knox out of sight in the hotel. I really appreciated that a lot. All the staff I met were lovely.

I don't remember anything I disliked. I suppose I didn't love that the hotel was being targeted by scumbag thieves but that is very much outside the control of the staff there.

Having read other reviews I was pleasantly surprised by how people will judge a place, I found the hotel presentable, the staff were friendly, especially the two who greeted me, Summer on reception and the lad handing out welsh cakes. The room was bright and clean, with windows that work open. The communal areas were clean, a nice bar and a breakfast was delicious. I did order a pizza on arrival, whilst waiting for my guest, the barman got this put into a takeaway box for me, nothing was too much trouble. Overall very impressed.

I have one complaint. The member of staff on the bar, I asked if they would like a drink as I was buying a round. They declined, I pushed for an answer why not, having worked in hospitality it’s a perk of the job, so it turns out the general manager don’t like staff receiving a drink from public, that insulted me, as I don’t want someone who’s sat in a office deciding who I buy drinks for. Change this policy before my next visit. I don’t like being insulted twice.

The location of the hotel was perfect, it was within a reasonable spot with all the local places to visit. The hotel itself was ok, reasonable set up, clean. It would have been better if we could have opened the window more as it got abit stuffy and the vent in the bathroom didnt work which made the whole room stuffy. Breakfast options was very good at a reasonable cost. Being a vegetarian it would have been nice if they left some space inbetween the meat / veg foods. Overall they stay at the hotel was very good and the staff were very attentive.

Wow, I found this hotel purely by chance, and I'm so glad I did we as a family travelled to Wales for a wedding, and from the moment we walked in it was sooo very clean, the young man on the desk was very friendly and polite, there was another young girl who was no quite so nice she kept having a go at this poor young man, (a little brush up on her politeness wouldn't go a miss) but that was the only complaint

Only the young girl having a go at this poor lad on the desk, she didn't smile or even acknowledge us, but that's the only complaint

The room was very good. I had asked for a room that had a shower head that wasn't just fixed and you gave us what we asked for. Comfortable room and bed.

The breakfast I felt wasn't the best . Not much continental, just a bit of cheese, not much fresh fruit not much choice of cake. There were just a few croissants. English breakfast was ok. We paid £12 as we prepaid but had we paid on the day it would have been £17.95. I would have been really disappointed had I paid that price. Coffee machine had a choice of coffees

Very nice hotel, conformable room, good enuf space for a family of 3. Car parking was at the premises and free which was very helpful. The place it on the outskirts of Swansea but that is why I liked it too - wasn't with a lot of hustle bustle. City is a mere 10 mins drive. Eating, grocery and fuel place less than 5 mins away. The best thing about the place was it's Food! The chef is a genius. We ate the same stuff (veg creamy pasta) two days in a row and so did my 10 year old zith his Kid's menu. Breakfast was fresh and ingredients appeared to be freshly made as well. So loved the food options here.

If the rooms were slightly bigger.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room and bathroom was spotless with excellent facilities — iron and ironing board, tea / coffee facilities and hairdryer , wi-fi and colour TV. I slept like a log! The bed was really comfortable with a nice pillow. The dining room is excellent and I enjoyed dinner and breakfast with a good choice. I have stayed here before and will return again when I am next in Swansea.

Nice little basic hotel clean and tidy, lovely staff which accepted Dogs, which is always hard to find, and did not make our pooch feel like a second class citizen. Lovely area out the back of the hotel for the dog to have a mooch about, which also backs onto a park and lake where you can take the dog for a walk. Breakfast was, of a good standard, and evening meal prices all looked good even though we did not eat there other than breakfast. Although Dogs not allowed in restaurant we were allowed to cage the dog, depending on your preference we always do if leaving him when not at home. Put your do not disturb sign on and enjoy breakfast.

Could do a with a little update but, not the be all and end all, still clean and tidy. Little pricey, but will not stop us returning for the ease of being able to take the dog

Staff were attentive, friendly, caring. Breakfast was good. No wait for a table. Plenty of seating in the reception and bar area, nice beer garden outside with plenty of space for kids to play. Plenty of free parking on site. Lovely location for a walk around the lake or for shopping.

No entertainment at night, pool no longer in operation, bar closed at 11pm, no conditioner or body lotion in standard rooms. Reading light in bedroom was too bright.
