The [included] breakfast was more than adequate for the price. Since completing their rennovations, they have resumed providing a hot breakfast again. I have stayed in other hotels in this city, and the value for money with Casablanca Inn either equals or surpasses those other hotels without a doubt. I traveled with a (large) dog, and it was no issue with the hotel or staff. Definitely a positive feature for the Casabanca Inn, allowing pets! Depsite its location on the main street, the hotel is very quiet. Parking (on site) is a little tight...but I have managed to get myself a parking spot each time I have stayed there. While not in the heart of 'down town', it is still very close (walking distance) to many ammenities such as convenience stores, 7-Eleven, restaurants, bars, gas stations, etc., and the drive to the center of 'down town' is only around 5 -10 minutes, depending on traffic! If traveling with a dog, there is a dog park about 10 - 15 minutes up Pico Rd as well - which is also very close to a grocery store, Walmart, and a multitude of restaurants and other types of businesses (within a huge shopping complex). The beach, along with a train station, is virtually across the road from the hotel (one block down, across the road). I would definitely recommend this hotel, and have personally stayed here multiple times myself.

The night staff (when I checked in) were really nice and very friendly... but did forget to bring the extra coffee to my room as they had stated they would when I checked in. Also, parking is very tight, and as the evening moves on there's a good chance all parking spaces could get filled before finding yours. There is no 'designated smoking area', so you have to physically leave the property to have one - which is extremely inconvenient, especially if weather is not favorable/raining.

We spent six nights in handicap-accessible room #108 and were impressed with the room and the customer service. Erin was a very pleasant first impression at the front desk. Jacob was extremely helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate a special request for our room related to my disability. Anthony helped transfer unwieldy furniture in and out of our room. Kudos to the three of them. The entire staff was extremely friendly. Our room was outstanding: clean, comfortable, spacious, excellent roll-in shower. While the hotel is not on the water, it is a short walk to the ocean, and we found the neighborhood surrounding the inn to be quaint and charming. We would highly recommend the Casablanca Inn in San Clemente.

A decent motel/hotel option that is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. We were in the older section in a very nice sized room with a balcony. They accommodated my request for a more quiet room. Up on 3rd floor and had no issues with traffic noise. I We would stay here again for the proximity to the ocean and close to freeways and family. Best deal was through booking.com - check them even compared to the hotel website.

f you need protein for breakfast (like I do) then NOT a great breakfast. Just Jimmy Dean thawed sausage/egg breakfast sandwich. OK for one day but we bought breakfast burritos the next few days across the street at High Tide coffee so it cost us an extra $25/day for those. The hotel had good coffee and options such as waffles, sweet rolls, toast, fruit.

The hotel has a nice design. I liked the view in the inner courtyard. Staff is kind. The hotel is a bit dated, still it is well maintained. My room (third floor) was large, comfortable, and very well kept. Large safebox. The hotel has two large parkings, one in the front and one in the back, and I had no difficulties to find parking at any time. Overall I enjoyed my stay, considering the price is more convenient than most other hotels in the area.

Breakfast could (should) be improved. While most of the hotel areas are very clean, the elevator is where better cleaning would be needed.

The rooms were both pet friendly and clean! Hotel is extremely close to the beaches, little shops and food areas. There are two sections of the hotel the newer end has more of a modern boutique look and doesn't allow pets, the older side allows pets, but still it's very lovely. Complimentary breakfast was a nice option. The pool was also great. Worth a stay for sure !

Staff seems to be confused when you book with a third party and unsure of how the reservations work? I'm aware they can be confusing, but I'm not sure the communication between the hotel and third party site was sufficient. The hot tub seemed to be the same temp as the pool, unsure if it was working well, fun nonetheless.

Overall a great stay for this price range. The rooms are generously large. Beds were comfortable and overall the room was clean. Staff were kind and amazing and responded to our request very promptly. Breakfast is minimal but good! Parking is available on site. Quiet and peaceful. Close to beaches and location was very convenient.

Towels were very old. I recommend bringing your own. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were terrible. Signage for the breakfast area will be helpful, I'm sure both staff and guests will appreciate having a sign up.

The room. the city free shuttle stopped right in front. Our room was BIG. Breakfast was included. Staff very well, was gonna say the size of the breakfast room wasn’t very big but we had no problems. Finding tables might have some outside the pool room. friendly. This hotel was really excellent for its size and rating. Keurig Coffee in room & also available in office and breakfast room. The room we had was recently refurbished and in great condition. The AC kept the room nice and cool. Quiet. Had a nice workout room. The pool and jacuzzi were big enough to enjoy. We had a last minute booking because of evacuation from nearby fire and we enjoyed the cool & clean air of San Clemente. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Casablanca Inn in San Clemente was truly exceptional, but what stood out above all was the remarkable kindness of the front desk staff. Every receptionist we encountered was not only attentive and professional, but also sincerely warm, patient, and thoughtful. Their friendliness created an atmosphere that felt more like being welcomed into a home than staying at a hotel. Their genuine care and human warmth made a lasting impression — they are the heart of the Casablanca Inn.

I liked the proximity to the beach and other locations in the San Clemente area. It is a great spot. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

I didn’t like how they’re supposed to be done renovating but it looks like they haven’t even started. Our room had nice carpet, ok beds. The curtains were not doubled meaning if I opened them I opened them to the world. I like to let light in without the entire hotel seeing me, there should be a second curtain. The safe in the room was malfunctioning and beeped until my husband took the batteries out. The breakfast was a brown bag with apple, granola, juice and muffins… weird.

Super close to the beach and a nice little coffee shop and restaurants- very nice and easy morning walk to the beach. Loved my spa bath tub! Clean room and lovely balcony as well, with courtyard view.

Only thing I wasn’t too thrilled about were the pillows- more square like vs rectangle and pillowcase was a bit rough against my sensitive face skin but I quickly got used to it and had a nice sleep. Also kinda wish the blanket was a bit warmer and more plush and comfy but no biggie for one night.
