We originally booked the accommodation without the option to cancel for a trip planned for four people. However, due to changes in our travel plans and the number of people, we were able to modify the reservation date through Booking. Upon arrival, we learned that the apartment we rented was on a different street. The place we stayed was right above Rainbow Street, which is a great location. You can park your car at P2 or P3 and easily reach the apartment. The flat was a 2+1 apartment located on the 2nd floor with no elevator. It had a bathtub, and the bathroom was quite spacious. There were power outlets next to the beds, and the sofa was very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with various small appliances, making it easy to cook meals. It’s a spacious apartment that can comfortably accommodate four people.

Apt 702 - very clean and close to local attractions. I liked the apartment feel vs hotel for a more relaxed stay. We were on the 2nd floor of the walk up. Had dish-ware, fridge, instant coffee, water heater, and 2 burners. I liked that one bedroom had two twins for my kids.

Outdoor seating to bar was right outside our window. It didn’t bother us since we’re used to city noise, but if you’re looking for a quiet place this will not be it. Also the bathroom emitted smells which was not pleasant.

Location is great. Close to shopping, bars, restaurants. The apartment is ok. Sofa/bed. The actual bed is ok. The bedroom is small, no dresser, but there are shelves. The heat is radiators. No a/c. We were there in late May and it was cold and rainy so we turned the radiators down and the room temp was ok. The "kitchen" had dishes, glasses, etc. The bathroom has a walk in shower that was a little complicated for a boomer like me, but my daughter had no issue :)

The apartment was minimal. It was what we expected. We wanted something within walking distance of shopping and this was perfect. On a side note, Iceland is very expensive.

Nice central location and great view (we were in the top floor flat with a small balcony with views of Hallgrimskirkja church and the sea). Easy to walk to places. Supermarkets 5-10 minutes away. We could leave bags at main hotel after we checked out. Reception staff were very helpful. Nice warm bathroom floor!

Not much cooking stuff - 2 hobs but the size of the pots meant could only use one at a time. More coat hooks would be helpful, also USB charging points.

Clean tidy and great facilities

Apartment 7 in town centre - water pipes very smelly. Website cites Airport transfers available however this is not a free service provided by hotel. They will (and did very helpfully book taxi’s for us) for which we were most appreciative. Hotel advised us that they have asked Booking.com to remove this from their hotel advert but that Booking.com has not done so.

Centrally located with plenty of dining and shopping options at the doorstep. Nice, clean well-maintained apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. Staff at the hotel reception (which is in a separate building, 5 min walk from the apartments) were very welcoming and helpful with all our queries. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Nothing, but a coffee machine would be a nice/useful addition to the kitchen facilities.

This was a last minute booking when our flight home was cancelled, so we were very happy to find the apartment. Although it is called a hotel, the apartments are in separate buildings a couple of minutes walk away. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff were very helpful and gave clear directions and booked taxis for our outings. We were at the top of the famous rainbow street over a shop selling hand knits and wool, which is perfect location for exploring the city on foot (and people watching). Two good size bedrooms and plenty of cupboards, large bathroom and a well equipped kitchen and good sized seating area. The advantages of self-catering and comfort of a hotel.

Ideally, we would have booked an apartment with a lift as our cases were heavy to carry upstairs. Also, be aware that the rainbow street is very popular and there was noise outside late into the evening.

There was a no-lift apartment i rented for three nights. As a senior, I needed assistance to get my luggage up the stairs. No problem. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

The bed went from one wall to the other wall, with ZERO spacing. I'm tall, so I had to sleep sideways. But, if a couple with one of them over 6'2", like me, you may have some discomfort not stretching out straight comfortably

Location was perfect, at the started of rainbow road, easy walk to literally everything. It was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the black out shades were great.

These are really just minor things. You have to go get a key, they should just use a pin pad, it’s hard to drive in the city and park and need to re-park. If you’re older or unable to carry your bags up 3 floors be careful which place you get, there is no lift.
