the host was AMAZING. took very good care of us and helped with everything, drove us around ella and did his best to maximize our stay, his staff was also amazing the location is great - right infront of the waterfall and with lush green view

the rooms need some loving * mosquitos were all over the place, they kept showing up in the bathroom (many many of them) * the water pressure in the shower was very weak * the top room had its share of noise from squirrels running at night on the roof, it kept waking us up

Beautiful and quiet, little place just a 15min walk (5min Tuk Tuk) from downtown. Comfortable beds and clean, small terrace with a wonderful view of a waterfall and viewpoint which is only a 25 minute walk away. Ella Rock can also be reached from the accommodation. Breakfast on the terrace and watching chipmunks, woodpeckers and camelions! The recommended restaurant just close by prepared creat food.The host, Sathees, was incredibly nice and helpful and arranged tours and cab rides for our onward journey at absolutely correct prices. Really recommended place to stay.

Sateesh and Harish are great, very kind and helpful. The breakfast and the views are amazing. Lavish breakfast surrounded by squirrels, peacocks, the sound of the waterfall. They also provide tuk tuk service at additional cost.

It’s very basic. Just a bed and extremely bright light. Could use a little TLC like repainting the walls (full of splashed mosquitoes and insects), mosquito nets without holes.

The place is wonderful, really peaceful and quiet. The rooms were simple yet spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The location is perfect, just a 15-minute walk to the center of Ella. It’s about an 8-minute walk to the railroad, then you just need to keep walking alongside the tracks, which is a safe and common route for locals. The host was incredibly lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They arranged a tuk-tuk for us at a very reasonable price, allowing us to visit all the popular spots in one day. On the day of our departure, despite it being New Year in Sri Lanka, the host woke up at 5 AM to serve us breakfast and drove us to the railway station. I am deeply grateful for the care and attention we received. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella.

The location is amazing—I don’t think I’ve ever slept in a better place than this. I was right in the heart of nature, far from traffic and the city center. There’s a stunning waterfall right in front, and birds sing all day long, including MANY peacocks. The owner and his brother are fantastic—always available and doing their best to help. I had a medical issue during my vacation, and they were incredibly kind and helpful. I truly appreciated it.

If I had a daughter, I would wish my son-in-law to be as nice person as the owner of this place and his brother. The owner and his brother were very helpful and involved. The view of the trees, mountains and fields is breathtaking. At night it is noisy because of animals (squirrels, monkeys and birds whose names I don't know) but this only adds to the attractiveness of this place. During breakfast you can admire the peacocks walking around. If you spend some time in Ella, choose this place.

It has a beautiful view, the staff is super friendly and kind really helpful with everything they help us with our luggage also with a tuk tuk to the train station. The breakfast was great you can choose between curry with rotti or pancakes

Everything was great. The only thing was maybe the tree in front our room need just a bit of pruning for a better view to the waterfall but still awesome view.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was really nice. The views for the balcony are amazing and the owners are so sweet and available every time you need something. They also have their own tuktuk and offer to take you to Ella center and then pick you up to go back to the hotel which is great.

The view was amazing! Yes its out of town ( but the town isnt worth it,the view is!!) and the owner goes above and beyond to take you down the hill and up with his tuk tuk any time and even take you on tours! It was one of my fav stays in srilanka the view and breakfast was just unbeatable truly.

The staff at the place was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was good and the view was exceptional, you can see the waterfall from the breakfast area outside the rooms. A bit outside the city centre, but there is a shortcut up some stairs and a walk along the train tracks, about 10 mins. Highly recommend.
