Unfortunately, we stayed for only one night, and if I had known how much we would love it, I would have booked a longer stay. But we had to fly to another country. We booked three rooms, as we were traveling with two teenagers, and we truly enjoyed everything. The young woman at the reception was very friendly and explained everything to us. The rooms are small, but very charming. And the fact that it’s on a boat adds a unique touch. One of the highlights was the breakfast — it was worth every euro we spent. And the two lovely women who helped with breakfast made it even more special. We were left with the best impressions. Delicious, beautiful — thank you so much for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for us.

The location was ideal, knowing all we had to do to find our way back was to get to the river and walk along the riverbank until we reached the hotel. The room (Junior Suite) was well presented, tidy, clean and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of cooked and prepared options and cold meats, breads, cheeses and fruit too.

As the hotel is made of wood rather than brick or stone (it is an actual boat!) the sound from other rooms/cabins and guests travelled through the walls and floors easily. Also sound related, the neighbouring restaurant plays music through speakers outside, seemingly all day and evening, until quite late and it not only was a little too loud but also a bit repetitive. We were out for most of the day and evenings sightseeing but every time we came back to the hotel during our 4 day stay the music was playing. It stopped around 11ish we think. Not club level volume but certainly enough to notice and meant we couldn't open the porthole windows for a little air as it would definitely have been louder and disturbed us.

I stayed for 8 nights on the lower floor on the water side! And loved it. It was cool, quiet, clean and comfortable. My room was spacious! The staff were lovely and helpful - accommodated all my requests and questions. Location was fantastic, next to tram lines to all city attractions. The noise comment is important - this close to all major attractions, it can be brutal, but I heard nothing in my room; indeed the only noise was the river and the swans. I wd stay there again in a flash (on the river side!).

There was no hair conditioner in the room and the sheet was small. But these are easily fixed (conditioner) and shower is more or less European standard - I got used to it I. 2 days.

The botel was so pretty , love the location was like 15 min close to main locations and the staff was really nice and friendly I would recommend the Botel Matylda to my friends and come back again. The room was clean and with the view for the river.

If you are looking for a big suite this is not the place for you , we knew it was going to be small because is a Botel and we did not reserve the bigger room but we were absolutely happy with the place.

The hotel is huge for a boat, we expected a much smaller barge but there was plenty of space. The river view rooms are great with double opening doors to your view. Unfortunately as we were a group it’s hard to keep the noise down all of the time and I’d say this property is much more suited to couples on a relaxing break as the walls are quite thin. The property has a great restaurant and bar with a nice seated area - this is on a separate boat next door! It’s in a great location with a strip of small bars such as (a)void and it’s a less than 20 min walk into the old town. I think this was perfect as we were away from the really busy areas with a nice walk along the river to the centre. We really loved our stay!

The bathroom is quite small and dark but didn’t take away from the lovely room

The Boat Hotel was nice. It was a cool experience to be on the boat but overall it was a bit underwhelming. The staff weren’t particularly kind, they conversed very little and when we went to the restaurant for a drink the staff were quite rude (however we know this doesn’t directly relate to our actual boat stay) The service was very slow so we only ended up staying for one drink and didn’t go back to the restaurant for the rest of our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cute. It wasn’t the cleanest room we have stayed in (quite a bit of dust on the floor and some hairs on the bedding) but as I mentioned the concept was still very cool. There were places to stay closer into the centre of town for a similar or less price so having stayed here once I probably wouldn’t go back. Overall the stay was nice and if you do stay I recommend paying the bit extra to have a river side view as this was lovely to wake up to.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the Dancing House and several interesting restaurants along the embankment. It's also within walking distance of the main attractions. The room was very cozy with a comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the breakfasts, which are served in the restaurant right next to the hotel. They are definitely worth the price.

Our room was not soundproof, and we could hear everything happening at the reception in detail. It was also a bit inconvenient that our windows faced the embankment, as we couldn’t keep the curtains open without being visible from outside. Perhaps it would be better to book a room with a river view for more privacy

Room was cosy and bed was comfortable. The view from the windows over the river, weirs, swans, coots etc was special and there was no chilliness or damp/river smell from being on a boat at water level. We arrived very early by train and were allowed to check in a couple of hours early as it was possible, which was very nice. Online communications in advance of the visit were good. Walking to everywhere was easy. We paid the extra charge for breakfast and were very pleased - the dining area and its view are great and we had the best freshly cooked omelette and scrambled eggs respectively we'd had on our 2 weeks of travels. There isn't a big buffet selection, but you can see the menu when you check in to decide if you want to go for it.

The coffee at Breakfast was instant with a hot water jug. This surprised and disappointed us a little as we like better coffee, and it would surely be easy to have in the restaurant/breakfast room, but it was a small thing.

We stayed here off season for 2 nights, so it was very quiet all around. The location was great, not too near all the tourism, but close enough to see everything. The staff greeted us very warmly by name upon arrival. She informed us that our room would not be available on the Matylda due to technical issues, but on the Klohilda we recieved a free upgrade. She spoke perfect english and helped us get our car situated in a nearby parking garage for 18€ a day (24hours) - Do take this offer. You won't find anything for less nearby. We were able to get a table without reservation on the neighboring boat for dinner. It did fill up quick, so even off season you may need to reserve in advance. It was fantastic. I do recommend getting a meal there. The atmosphere was good, wait staff were friendly, spoke english and we were able to pay by card. For breakfast we could order something from a menu, plus there was drinks, fruit, yogurt and bread available, buffet style. All was very fresh and nicely presented. I also recommend taking the breakfast for 12€. We only ate breakfast the first day, and on the second morning elsewhere, because we like to try out more than one place. For those worried about getting "seasick" at night - no worries. I only noticed small waves twice, which may have been imagined. Even so, the beds are so comfortable and the bedding was very cozy.

Under the bed was a little dusty. Also, our towels were replaced even though we left them hanging. Personal eco choice on that one though.

Our stay at the hotel was amazing. All the hotel staff were incredibly kind, polite, and friendly to us. We had some questions and changes on our part, and the staff instantly resolved them and were very pleasant to communicate with. The hotel staff also helped arrange parking nearby, and we are very grateful for that. Our room was clean and cozy. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, so we had a great night’s sleep and woke up in the morning to a beautiful view of the river. On our next visits to Prague, we will definitely stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality, Hotel Matylda!
