My Friend and I loved everything about this Hotel. The room was the large and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious everyday we were there for a week. The Staff was outstanding. I found out it is Family owned and several of the family worked there. We even met the owner and she was a lovely Lady and very easy to speak to and so helpful. She was most days sitting in the Lobby. We felt like we were in a warm environment and well taken care of and safe. My friend and I still are talking about this Hotel and how much we loved Sorrento. We want to go back and if we did we would stay at the Hotel La Badia. I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay !!!!! Caio for now, Kathy & Caren

The hotel is great!. It is located in a very good place, very close to the center of the city where all the life going on , but it not in the city - it is above it. I think that is the best part of the Sorrento in terms of balance between action and the beautiful views. The only thing you have to go uphill about 10-15 minutes to get to the hotel. But for me it was not a problem . it is clean and it well kept - it seems like the owners takes a very good care of that. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Overall it was pleasure to stay in it. The housekeeping was also every day.

1. Our room was kind of small , but it was nice, clean and with comfortable bed - so I didn't noticed that much :) And they also upgraded it with a view, so I can not blame them for that. 2. The breakfast was the same all the 7 days. 3. we was accompanied with wasps at the breakfast every day, and they where annoying :)))

Fabulous views, great pool, big room and large balcony

All the staff we friendly and helpful but I am sorry to say there was one exception to this, the young lady on reception. When we arrived to check in, there was a gentleman and this young lady on duty, she did not cast a look at us and continued to talk to the man in Italian whilst we just stood there. The man then welcomed us and commenced the check in, whilst he did this the young lady continued to talk 'at him' in Italian , completely ignoring us, it was like we were invisible and of course we had no idea what was she was saying that was so important it couldn't wait until after we had checked in.

Warm welcoming staff, friendly and very helpful. A beautiful hotel set in stunning gardens that are simply beautiful, colourful and looked after so well. It's just so pretty, a true Italian feel to it. Incredible views down over Sorrento that's only a 15 minute walk to which we loved. Yes it's a little trek up hill coming back up so if you are less mobile that would be an issue but for us we loved the walk. We like to be a little away from the main area and where this hotel is situated felt perfecto for us. Lovely and clean, everywhere is so well looked after , immaculate. Our room was lovely and spacious, air conditioning amazing too, our room was always nice and cool to come back to especially with the 49 degree heat. Personally I do not find this hotel dated at all it has true Italian charm to it and totally suits where you are. We loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed the Italian breakfast, always plenty for all guests and I feel it had a very good selection from fresh fruits, croissants, toast, salami, cheeses, eggs and freshly baked cakes such as apple cake, berry cheesecake. All very delicious and you were welcomed every morning by the lovely staff, spoilt with beautiful views of the gardens and Sorrento whilst enjoying your coffee and breakfast. What more could you ask for. Excellent hospitality. Excellent hotel, beautiful people. You all made our 25th wedding anniversary celebration holiday perfecto!! Thank you, we definitely will be back, hopefully next year.

Having to leave and come home. We felt there was nothing at all to dislike, a truly amazing stay and holiday we had here.

Hotel La Badia is SO beautiful! It's really quaint - looks like a fairytale as you're coming up the hill towards it. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. The pool area was beautiful - we really enjoyed relaxing here at the end of the day. The breakfasts were great, and include desserts, and they serve you fresh coffees with it. We loved the location of La Badia - it's just up the hill outside of town, so a 15 minute walk in and out (walking up hill on your way home). But we had a motorbike so this hardly bothered us, and the benefits of being slightly out of town during peak season outweighed this. Would recommend!

Perfect location for us with fantastic views and a pleasant 15 min walk into town. The steep path home wouldn’t suit everyone but if you don’t mind it, the location is wonderful. The outdoor space at the hotel is idyllic and there are plenty of spots to sit and make the most of the views. Lovely pool with plenty of modern comfortable sunloungers and the rooms had aircon, comfy beds and more great views! The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly and helped point out the walking route to Bagni Regina Giovanna - a natural swimming spot which our older teens (17 and 19) absolutely loved. Just a perfect place to stay. We'd love to go back!

Hotel La Badia was such a gorgeous hotel giving a completely different vibe to the Sorrento centre. It was quiet, relaxed, clean, and the views were so lovely. It was great value and the breakfast was lovely - we really loved the fresh warm croissants. The staff were also so friendly and helpful which made all the difference - thank you for a lovely holiday hotel la badia!

It’s quite far out - it took a good 20-30 mins to walk to the hotel from the centre and it’s a lot of uphill walking, this became a bit hard work by the end of the holiday but the views were definitely worth it!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The views are exceptional. The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of sun loungers. The terrace where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served is stunning with a view over the bay. Our room was clean with everything we needed, including a small fridge. The view over Sorrento was stunning. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The walk from Sorrento to the hotel is steep - it was not a problem for us but is worth bearing in mind.

The views …fabulous. The staff without exception friendly and always willing to help with any queries. The well equipped outside space including a lovely pool and gardens. The fact that our room and in fact the whole property was spotlessly clean. Good value for money with their food offer.

For the views the price to pay is a steep walk down to and up from the centre of Sorrento. My husband and I are 70 but pretty fit so it didn’t pose a problem for us but others may struggle a bit.

Very peaceful, picturesque and quiet hotel with a stunning view of the Sorrento coast. Very clean and comfortable, large rooms. Food was decent. Lovely terrace area with amazing views. Pool and pool area were excellent.

It is a little dated and in need of some freshening up, renovating and modernising a little inside. But that is easier said than done given the costs! It is about 20-25 minute walk to the main town and Marinas. We knew this so we’re fine with it, but it can be a bit of a pain, however the view and peace are well worth the walk in our opinion. A shuttle bus from the hotel would be perfect, but appreciate this comes at a cost also!
