Cheking in system worked really well, logging in unlocks the door on first arrival. Only contact with hosts was via whatsapp, and all info was great, really helpful and upto date. Rooms were a good size, Aircon was great, Storage was great and had a coffee machine with free coffee pods for breakfast and some free breakfast snacks which were very welcomed. Location is fantastic, on the morning outside is full of fresh fruit and veg markets and by night time its a out side restaurante area with great food and good prices. Only a short walk to leaning tower of Pisa and other historic areas. + 30 -40 min walk to the airport. ignore google maps too the bridge is open!, lots of great places to eat and drink within 5 mins of the hotel.

Excellent location, quick responsive, polite staff, cleanliness! We visit Pisa a lot but this was our first time at the Relais Dei Mercanti - it certainly won’t be our last! Before we arrived I communicated with Assunta and Franco about how to enter the property and on the day of our arrival we received clear instructions. Upon arrival we made our way in and the whole place smelt beautiful. Our room was spacious and spotless. We had a balcony which was a lovely touch. On the Saturday evening it was quite lively outside so I thought we were not going to be able to sleep. We needn’t have worried as once the balcony door was closed it was silent! Toiletries are provided in the bathroom and towels are changed everyday and the room is cleaned daily. Pastries, yogurts, fruit & drinks were left every day for breakfast too. Upon departure I messaged Assunta to ask to book a taxi - the taxi turned up on time which was a relief! I have worked in travel for 28 years so have stayed in many places. I will definitely recommend this place and stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved the location - quiet immediately around the hotel and then more lively but not overwhelming a short distance away. Lovely restaurants, perfect vibes and not even a 10 minute walk to Leaning Tower. Franco and Assunta were so organised and helpful - sending us WhatsApp messages with suggestions for breakfast and dinner in the area and other helpful stuff. Room itself was beautiful, had a bonus balcony which we didn't specifically book, but was very much welcomed. Also, there was an actual Lavazza coffee maker so that just topped it off for us! :) Great stay, thanks F&A.

Genuinely can't think of anything.

Excellent location, the room was clean, tidy, and very well equipped. The air conditioning helped us get through the heat, and the soundproofing was incredible – there is a restaurant open until late right under the building, yet inside the room we couldn’t hear any noise at all! On top of that, the room was cleaned and the bedding changed every day. Great communication. I recommend it 100%!

Absolutely nothing!

This is the Italian experience. Our room had huge roof beams with terracotta ceiling tiles, aged but perfect plaster walls, exquisite antique furniture Marble floors with a beautiful balcony overlooking the street market by day and restaurant at night. We loved the street noise, and that was not an issue when we chose to retire for the evening as we had two sets of double glazed doors, our bed and air conditioning made for a perfect night's sleep. Our hosts made out stay one to remember. Ps, the location is perfect!

The location was very good only ten minutes from the tower easy walking distance There are plenty of restaurants close by all lexcellent food The room is basic but very clean and had everything you need , there is tea /coffee ,fruit and yogurt and cakes in the room for a breakfast which was appropriate . The owner kept in touch with us checking we had arrived ok

Beautiful apartment. Full of character and with a nice high ceiling to help us keep cool in the 34 degree heat. Great location 12 minutes from rail station and about 20 from the Tower. Loads of really good bars and restaurants nearby. Yogurts fruit and pastries for breakfast were a lovely touch and the checking in process was dead easy.

Nicely decorated and climatic. Very friendly staff. Complimentary coffee and snacks. Accessories were working as expected. Soundproofed from street noise. Cleaning service every day. Great location in historical quarters.

Mold on the bathroom’s wall. Hot water pressure could be better - it needs about a minute to reach out the faucet. Wifi could be faster. QR code for building entrance is quite worn off - I needed a couple of attempts to scan it in the afternoon’s light.

Wonderful gem of a bed and breakfast in central Pisa. Situated near a great choice of bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, traditionally furnished, pretty and comfortable. For a 3* an excellent choice. We travel a lot for work and this stay was nicer than many 5* we’ve stayed in worldwide.

There is a bar below which had clientele til around 2am so ask for a quiet room. It was outside our bathroom window so we closed the door and it was quiet in the bedroom.

The property is stunningly beautiful and sympathetically decorated: both rooms and bathrooms were an absolute delight. Great location too. I had problems with the cancellation of a flight and the owner was so helpful in providing me with the correct documentation I needed, and helping me to get a taxi. I was travelling with my elderly mother, and the owner really went the extra mile to help us in difficult circumstances. A real gem!
