I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The staff was warm and welcoming when I arrived, making check-in a breeze. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight of my stay. It offered a delicious variety of options that catered to all tastes. I loved starting my day with fresh pastries and a coffee. Another standout feature was the lounge area, which provided a relaxing space to unwind after sightseeing. The hotel also has a fitness center, which I took advantage of—great equipment and a clean environment. Overall, my experience at Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gothenburg. It offers an excellent blend of comfort, convenience, and service. I look forward to returning on my next trip!

Location is superb! It is located above the train station (Gothernburg Central Station). The room is spacious, comfortable, clean and very presentable. There are more than enough socket points and even USB points in the room. There is an electric kettle, a mini fridge (with transparent door!) and all that we need! We stayed in a few other hotels in Sweden for this trip and this hotel more than meets our expectations and worth the money we paid for! The front desk staff (two gentlemen) on the day we checked-in were friendly and pleasant. On the day we checked out, there was a slightly older gentleman who is equally helpful. I was impressed when we turned on the TV and received a personalised welcome! (Please see pic). This hotel gives us the impression that they put customers first!

There should be clearer directional signage from the train station leading to the hotel. When we stepped out of the station (after following the signage), we could hardly see the hotel's name.

Great location and a beautiful space! Simon at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed his tips for Sweden and the other locations we were set to visit.

This is not really a negative, but will share -when we booked our room a few months prior it was under another name. So we had a bit of confusion when we arrived at train station and searched for entrance. The address seemed to be correct, but the hotel name was different. We went into question and were reassured we were indeed in the correct place, but the name/ branding has just been updated!

The room was very big and we received a disabled friendly room as requested. We were also able to check-in earlier at 1. We had view on the Nils Ericsson Bus Terminal, which was kind of cool. The location is perfect for a city trip to Gothenburg and everything easily reachable by walking. As the hotel is integrated into the railwaystation building one has a lot of grocery stores and restaurants right around the corner - This is useful as the hotel restaurant and bar is a bit overpriced. The only thing that was a bit odd is that the room didn’t had a proper big light but only smaller ones, like the ones on the shelfs next to the bed - However, this wasn’t a big issue. And in general, the hotel is architectural wise perfectly integrated into the railway station, while one is fully detached from the crowded part so that the hotel is its own unit.

Wonderful property located conveniently above the train station. Since we were transiting and had just one night available in Gothenburg, we are very glad we picked this property. It is right on top of the train station and the property also allowed us earlier check-in. Check in was very quick and seamless and the ladies at the reception were very pleasant and cordial! The breakfast at the hotel was a good spread! Plenty of eateries around, with a huge shopping mall just opposite the hotel. Although so close to the station, the rooms were quiet and no outside noise was heard.

Nothing! Everything was fantastic and as depicted in the photos and described on the site. No regrets. Will definitely stay again here.

I arrived very late around 00:30 for a quick sleepover to catch a train. the receptionist was there and tended to every need and question I had in a quick and precise way, and was very kind. I slept well and the room was ample, I had a long hot shower in the morning inside the ample bathroom. seamless checkout with customized digital invoice.

I think because of undergoing renovations (under way and should finish soon) the pipes did not have enough pressure at times, so a bad smell came out of the sink briefly a bit odd hotel shape (literally across the station) but not problematic

Location is one of the best in Gothenburg, it being situated at the train station. For me travelling in from Stockholm it was really convenient, and there are lots of shops and cafes etc at the station. Breakfast was very good, with a typical breakfast buffet and lots of seating. Comfort wise it was fine. It is not the newest hotel and does need some renovations and upgrades in the rooms, but overall I felt that the room was comfy enough. The gym is quite a unique experience because it is directly above/ in front of the train tracks so you get a view down onto the trains from the treadmill. It's a smallish gym but had enough weights and machines to have a good workout.

The sauna is only open from late afternoon which was a shame because I couldn't use it. I would prefer if it was open in the mornings or daytime.

Breakfast was great, only Danish Pastries weren't available in the weekend for some reason. Great location.

2 light bulbs were out in the bathroom and one in the living room. I asked for someone to replace them, but no one ever came during our 3 day stay, despite me calling front desk about this. Rooms are quite dark in the evening with only atmospheric light in the window ceiling, lamp in the corner (with a dead bulb), bed lights and a small lamp on the table. Staff should tell the standard stuff on how to arrange parking, check out times, etc. We spent a lot of time in the parking lot trying to figure out how to register our parking before calling the hotel for info- It turns out they actually have an arrangement with the car park hire. They could have told us this when we arrived at the front desk.

The location is fantastic — right inside Central Station, which made our arrival from Copenhagen and early bus to Norway a breeze! The check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was friendly. The bed was super comfy, and the room was spacious. The bathroom was large with nice amenities. Overall, it’s a great option for convenience!

While my stay had its highlights, there were some downsides. The spacious room lacked a cosy feel, and the lighting was insufficient. The large bathroom felt sterile. Breakfast had potential but was too crowded, and I was surprised by the extra charge for early check-in. Overall, despite some areas needing improvement, I still enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is situated above the train station, which I loved! I stayed on the 7th floor, which was very comfortable, with a fantastic view of the trains below. My room was spacious, with a nice large window. The bed was perfectly cozy, there was also a couch and a desk of a nice size. The bathroom had a heated floor and had Ritual brand products. There was also a lot of counter space, to place my products. The restaurant was excellent, the breakfast buffet had a variety of delicious foods of amazing quality. I had also eaten dinner there, the cocktail and food offerings were fantastic. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the food. Check in and out were done with ease. The reception staff were polite and helpful.
