Breakfast is very good but it would be nice if you could order your eggs. I don't like the precooked scrambled eggs in hotels and as this hotel is more costly than many this would be a nice touch and would justify the higher price paid at this hotel. The location is great and the beds are very comfortable with 3 different types of pillows to choose from so this makes a big difference and they make up your bed each day.

The lighting is so dim that ist's hard to see but this is a problem I have all over Scandinavia, not just at this hotel. I have to use the torch on my phone to find things in my case.

Very central and convenient location, very friendly, helpful and competent staff, great breakfast buffet and very good restaurant. Nice rooftop pool and terrace with great views both over and under water. Quirky interior. 42 is a good room for two in the old part with balcony in quiet courtyard, a spacious bathroom and very comfortable Dux beds. Slept very well.

Hotel corridors are very dimly lit, at least the ones on the 5th floor where we stayed. Also not enough lights in our room 42 around the bed area, after dark - minuscule reading lights and down lights are not sufficient. On the other hand the frosted glass sliding door of the bathroom lets in too much daylight early in the morning (4am in July) from the bathroom window which doesn’t have blackout curtains like the the rest of the room.

Avalon's location is great and so was the staff. The design of the hotel and interior is unique and quirky, which is nice in contrast to the chain hotels. The breakfast was also great.

In out room, the shower and toilet were located together with only partial possibility to prevent water from the shower splashing across the floor. In addition, the bed was on a slightly raised level which one does not think about until one needs to get up in the middle of the night.

Comfortable bed and pillows, the duvet wasn't too hot as it often is in many Scandinavian hotels. The style of the rooms and the choice of TV channels was great. Although I didn't use the mini bar, it was nice that it was there as an option. The slippers and bath robe were very nice to have. The breakfast is very nice but it would be great if you could order your eggs.

The room was spacious and they really have thought about the details. Two comfy chairs, enough glasses to have wine and water. These were just a few details. Very comfy bed as well. The staff was great.

There weren't many tv channels to choose from. The breakfast was served a bit late and even if there was enough to choose from, it wasn't a wow moment.

Breakfasts were a delight - from the coffee to the orange juice to the excellent choice of foods. The rooms were a comfortable home for a week, with daily non-intrusive cleaning on request. And the location could not be bettered - with Avenyn restaurants, the Paddan trips canal trips and relaxing, beautifully kept parks on the doorstop. Not to mention the boutique shops all round !

Having to leave was the only downside.

Nothing really anything negative would be a nitpick. I generally find Hotel rooms too hot and this was the case with our room. But nothing abnormal.

people were very friendly and the room was very comfortable! we had a VERY early flight and they were VERY nice to offer to pack a breakfast. LOVED the location and the art. excellent breakfast! They were also very very nice about letting us check in early.

Midsommar menu could have been bigger. but was still nice!

It is situated in the center of the city and close to shops and restaurants. Also, the breakfast is great!

The single beds are very small. The bathtubs is hard to get in (it’s very high and I’m a tall person).

Comfortable beds, very clean, spacious room, kind and helpful staff, excellent breakfast!

Quirky layout and room - hotel is a bit of a maze and our bed was on an elevated area in the room.
