This is a classical hotel from an almost bygone era, with very friendly staff and a great location in the city centre. The rooms are somewhat small but very nicely furnished and decorated. All in very good state of maintenance. This place is well managed, clearly.

Also old fashioned was the manager in the breakfast room. Breakfast is from early to 10.30, so he decided to already close the doors considerably before closing time. Also, after ten nothing of the food was replenished so better make sure to be on time in the morning! After having observed this for several mornings I was bold enough to speak to him about this... Ai, ai ai that was not a good idea. Suffice to say that his manager promised to take it up with the guy. So it should improve. Perhaps.

Very classic Viennese hotel yet only 80 rooms. Great staff. Front desk efficient and helpful. Bar tender uniquely talented and oh so interesting, conversational. Breakfast buffet is large and varied. I cannot think of any food that was not there. 7am-11am breakfast accommodates all schedules. Location is 2 blocks from Karlsplatz Ubahn station. 3 blocks from Opera. Quiet street. Quiet hotel. Room was large. Spacious. Enough plugs. Coffee machine. Mini bar refrigerator new TV AC worked. Operable windows. Solid WiFi and cell signals. Modern plumbing. Large bathroom. Enough lights to read a book at night which is unusual.

Wall mount hairdryer didn’t really work. Two, smallish elevators for 6 floors. Big wide staircase is a good alternative

Everything ! We arrived very early at Vienna airport and drove to this hotel, on the way I called the hotel asking if we could have an early check in, we really needed to freshen up after the 10 hours flight+transportation time, I honestly expected them to say no, but they agreed and they’ll do their best to have the room ready when we arrive, and they did! I really can’t tell you amazing and relieved this was, it was our first stop in Austria and what a lovely beginning. We took our showers and freshened up, when we came back to our surprise they had cleaned the toilet and replaced our towels, which was another pleasant surprise. The room is big and nice, the sofa bed mattress can be improved though, it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The location was great, you could park your car and walk your way to the touristic attractions. The parking has fee, but, it’s valet ! The man at the reception took our luggage and delivered them to the room, then he took our car and parked it, again this was such a relief that we didn’t have to look for a parking and worry about carrying our page from the parking to the hotel ourselves. The staff are all so nice, the lady who helped us with the early check in, I wish I got her name, but I can’t be thankful enough, she is so sweet. The breakfast was yummy! There was variety of food for every taste. I really loved this hotel and I strongly recommend it, I will, without question, come back here if I ever go back to Vienna.

- Please change the mattress of the sofa bed to make it more comfortable. - The mini fridge had lots of bottles, we had to them out to store some food items, and then we returned them in the morning. So if you could put less bottles to begin with it’ll be great as the fridge is already small and takes time to cool items.

The staff is incredibly friendly, creating the feeling of „coming home“, extensive tea selection at breakfast, and coffee menu, all coffee is freshly made and proper Kaffeehaus quality. The bar menu is reasonable with a small but very well chosen wine selection of locals like Mayer‘s Gemischter Satz, bar staff was friendly and chatty but not into one’s face and happily served us strudel (with hot custard) despite the kitchen been closed. The location is just perfect, a quiet street just around the corner from Ringstraße, easy access to all the sights, most within walking distance.

Great breakfast with several options and great hot chocolate and coffee. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean as expected. It is close to main attractions, but far enough to be out of the tourist confusion.

Some people in the staff were not so welcoming, arguing about small things such as when I let them know that the location at google was wrong and the taxi had a hard time finding the hotel (and the guy insisted I was wrong about it and complained that I got my phone to show him) or when two of us arrived at breakfast as asked for a table of 4 since two friends were joining us and they insisted us to sit at a two-people table instead although the room had several other tables available. Not sure what was the reasoning, but it almost spoiled the experience there... Fortunately, others were kind and helpful. The gym is super simple (we gave up exercising there) and the sauna was not working when we stayed there.

The location was perfect, so near all places of interest. Walking distance to the state opera, and from there everything close by.The hotel itself is beautiful and very grand. The staff were more than helpful and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, a real winner. An added bonus was the bar area with an lovely bartender, who made outstanding cosompolitans !!!!

Only the pillows on the bed ...just a teany bit too soft....but hardly a huge problem...I should have asked for different ones but I just made them comfy so didnt bother them !!!!

This is my fourth time with this property. Words fail to express my appreciation for the experience. Everything is perfect. Professionalism at its best. The location is ten minutes walk from all sites of interest, breakfast is superb, the room is spotless and comfortable and the premises are welcoming and accommodating. The staff is friendly and helpful. Value wise the best choice for an exceptional stay in Vienna . Highly recommended.

We were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade, unsought, which meant we had a suite. It was really beautiful and comfortable, and although we overlooked an urban street, it was quiet! But Vienna is an incredibly calm city despite its population. The room had everything needed for comfort shower spacious, a massive bath was also in the bedroom (which could be sealed off by double panelled glass doors), and the tvs were good sizes.

Nothing. Everything from the fine breakfast, to the friendly staff, was terrific. We used both German and English to communicate

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful facility, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent location to get to know Viena: not in the midst of mass tourism areas, but a short walking distance from beautiful and vibrant Karlsplatz and its public transportation node. The service at the hotel was very efficient, professional and discreet. Great breakfast by all standards! Our room (junior suite) was big, well furnished and well equiped, perfectly quiet. A GREAT place altogether! I would go again without thinking twice.

One should be aware that this is a large facility which also receives tourists traveling in groups. It can be a nuisance, for instance when you happen to want to have breakfast when a group has invaded the breakfast room. Some travelers might prefer smaller establishments which don’t receive groups.
