Bed were comfortable, staff was very friendly, within 1.4 miles from NRG center where my daughter was playing basketball in a tourney

AC unit didn’t keep room cool enough, 3rd floor hallway was always hot, seemed like maybe the AC was out on that floor hallway? May be why our room unit couldn’t keep up? Curtains were also able to cover the windows all the way so didn’t block out street lights/daylight in early am. Bathroom door hinges creaked very loudly so woke up other family if someone got up to use restroom overnight or early in the am when I got up early to get ready before waking the kids.

It was pleasant. It is a little bit dated, age shows here and there. The bar and eating area were clean and well maintained. There were some ants in my bathroom, literally 4, I rinsed them down the sink and did not see any more. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room lighting was dim, bedside lighting would have been a plus. A desk/chair would have been a plus, too. Overall, it was good, I have to say the highlight of my stay was the bartender, T. He was exceptional company and provided great customer service, I don't think I could praise him highly enough.

I like that hotel provided free Uber service to and from medical center. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. The hotel was not noisy. I like the vintage decor. Breakfast was complementary and very basic, but enough to get you started for the day. It consisted of egg and cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, instant oatmeal, juices & coffee.

There is no seating area in the room. The only place to sit is on the bed, which is not comfortable for your back.

I loved the relaxed feeling I got once i entered the hotel. It wasn't suffocating and imposing. The staff was great. They were very nice and accommodating while also professional. The room itself was good. It had this chill vibe. I'm definitely booking here again in the future.

Minor broken items like a couple of chipped tiles on the floor and the TV didn't have all the channels available. Something else was that there wasn't a place where I could work on my laptop in the room.

I really liked this hotel, friendly staff, great location, and free uber ride to and from MD Anderson. They had a pretty good hot breakfast also.

People were laughing and hollering by the front desk on Wednesday evening, and this continued for hours. About 2 am on Thursday morning someone hollered from one of the rooms for them to be quieter. About 5-10 minutes latter the noise subsided. The bar was even closed that night, so that couldn't be blamed. Not sure what was going on, but the hollering was so loud it woke both of us,it was impossible to sleep over the noise even with the AC fan running in our room. I appreciated some one telling them to be quieter.

Location and free Uber to medical appointments

We have stayed there other times and the service was not the best this time. I need an accessible room and i made the request when I reserved the room. When we got there we were told there were none available. After checking, the clerk said she found one. When we got to the room it wasn’t accessible. I didn’t want to change rooms so we kept it. Day 2 the key card reader went out. They had to open our door. We were told that the reader would not be fixed until Monday. This was Friday.

I came for 1 night to attend the Cowboy Carter show, and you can’t beat the location. The NRG stadium was in viewing distance, and the hotel was so kind & considerate to offer free shuttle service to & from the venue. Even though it’s a 10-15min walk to the entrance, that could be a little tough with all the bells, whistles, & heels we all had on. Thank you Mr. Gary and thank Hotel Ylem for hosting all of the concertgoers that weekend

Room was nice and expected for the price. For example, no fancy writing pad/pen/desk combo but it had what we needed. And when we needed a fan, the front desk let us borrow theirs for as long as we liked. Also, very cute decor.

Most tv channels didn't work but they did send someone to work on it the next day and he tried a few different things to see if it would work. When he figured out when it was the wiring to the room (no ones fault) they offered to move us if we wanted to.

Very clean facility, accommodating, w/an actual bar and a warm, do it yourself Breakfast is available downstairs! VERY CLOSE to our Downtown Destination and Unlimited possibilities for dinner out, shopping, grocery stores all w/in walking distance. Even found a Bath and Body less than 3 miles away ... Super location! Rm was clean and roomy! Cool retro effect w/old timey looking aqua fridge, a Keureg 'type' coffee pot and an antique looking phone - like the old rotary dial phones! Cute! Ohhh, mustn't forget about plugs and USB PLUGS on both sides of the headboards ... as well as conveniently located on walls where you fo not have to move furniture just to get to them!

NO PLACE to put shampoo/soap etc in shower while showering! Absolutely no shelves! Even an out of shower shelf toward back of shower would be helpful! Couldn't even put the toilet lid down as there was No lid!!🤣😲🤣 1 little bar to hang 'a' hand towel ... otherwise absolutely no towel rods at all!! We like to help by conserving on laundry - but that is a difficult task w/no towel racks! Some electrical outlets did not work and the plate to the plug in in the bathroom was not fully secured. I did mention this to the front desk. Many of our USB Connections were NOT CHARGING ...Unless we were supposed to do something to get them to work!

I love the decor and that the bar was open. The bartender was good. I also love that checkout is not until noon... very nice. Bed was comfy.

There was only 1 small trash can... in the bathroom. Need to have one in the room area as well. Only 1 wash cloth....? It seemed that the door trim on the inside of the bathroom was missing. Not an issue really... but why? Also, no plug where the code pot was placed. We had to move it to the bathroom.
