The Room was okay, sufficient for a single traveller. Food and Drinks were good.

Not sure if it's suitable for a family with kids. Food is good but there is a time limitation for the restaurant. Also, the menu for the restaurant available online is very old and not updated to date. Entrance from main road is not very clear and Google map is showing a different entry to the actual one. Also, there was a false fire alarm when i stayed early in the morning around 2 am or so which was quite annoying when you want to relax before the next morning long drive ahead.

We had a room with a toilet and a shower which was really good. Upstairs shared kitchen facilities were a bit ordinary and poorly provisioned with kitchen utensils and some items were not clean. It wasn't a big problem as we had dinner at the pub but we were a bit put off to do breakfast in that kitchen area. We were mainly attracted to the room value at reasonable cost. Overall a good stay.

Overall, the accommodation is good in terms of budget. Weekly one time cleaning of rooms was done. Toilet you need to clean by yourself. Kitchen was good and microwave, toaster, frying pan, cooking utensils were available.

May be the room cleaning need to be improved further

If you're after a no fuss place to rest your head then you can't find a better place to stay in Newcastle. The check in is a breeze as Sam and the rest of the staff are super nice and easy to work with. The rooms (though basic) are a 10/10 for cleanliness, comfort and have everything you need. There's free parking on site (huge carpark). The wifi is free (no password required) there's air-conditioning, bar fridge kettle and TV in your room (microwave and toaster are available in the communal kitchen) I've been staying in one of the single shared bathroom for nearly 3 weeks and in all that time I've only ever seen another person in the bathroom three times since being here. The bed is really comfortable and even the single bed has 2 fluffy pillows. I can't recommend this place highly enough

The self locking doors. REMEMBER to always have the key on your person so you're not locked out topless at 130am (so my fault not theirs)

The staff and management were friendly & flexible. The manager even got out of bed early to support my early checkout. The schnitzel dinner was excellent.

I liked the place. The accommodation looks old from the outside but was fine on the inside. It’s budget accommodation, but was very satisfactory for its price range.

Easy to find. Not far off highway. Good parking. Easy check-in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed with ensuite. Small but perfect when only needing somewhere to relax, sleep and shower. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided. Excellent. I would stay again.

Great location. Very close to Newcastle University. We went there last night to see The Hoodo Gurus / Spy vs Spy. The pub had the best black old on tap, the food was fantastic, the staff all very friendly. The room with en-suite for the price was spot on, clean and just enough room as all I needed was a bed.

The accommodation is set behind the hotel in a separate building accessible only with key access. The room I was in was on ground floor and was very comfortable and quiet with very good block out curtains in room. Plenty of parking was available and cash deposit of $100 was immediately returned upon a quick inspection of room.

I had a very large room which was very comfortable, The bed was very comfortable as well. Having a restaurant on site was very convenient.

The shower taps in the bathroom are in the wrong order, They need to put a red mark on the hot taps, as the standard hot tap position is on the left. A person using the shower before me only wet himself and turned it off to suds up. Then turned on again to rinse. I can only assume he thought there was no hot water. I had a large room but the tv was too small for how far away you were from it .

The only thing letting this property down was the bed. Take it out the back paddock and shoot it!! Bury it deep. It has had its fun in the sun and had a good life. Do the most humane thing and send it to mattress heaven. The floor was more comfortable!
