Great location with a calming view over City Park. Very spacious and modern rooms - we chose one with a balcony so paid a little more. It was so relaxing to sit out and read my book with a coffee on the balcony in the morning.
A little privacy screen on the rooms with balconies would be preferable to see-through glass. When I stepped out on my balcony the lady next door was in her PJ’s and quickly retreated inside. The restaurant looked fantastic but we arrived around 7.30pm and the staff mentioned the kitchen had closed - that was a Saturday night in December!

I admit, my expectations were not super high based on Hobart Mercure and so the Launceston Mercure was a lovely surprise! Its in a quiet location which I really appreciated. We had asked for a quiet room - tick. We had asked for a mattress topper if the mattress was a hard mattress - tick. Nothing was too much trouble - tick! Really helpful staff, free parking, clean room and a good night's sleep. What more could you ask for! It's a no frills hotel, but all of our needs were met and more. Exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay again as such good value.
Can't think of anything really!

The location of the hotel is very good being right next to a park, and a short walk from the Saturday markets that we wanted to visit. The room was clean. The pillows were a bit hit and miss with them either being really big or very flat. The bed was big and fairly comfortable, and the blinds did make the room dark enough to get a good night sleep.
Room is quite small, and the way it's laid out does not help you to move around to the room. There is only a small amount of space between the end of the bed and the desk area so someone is sitting at the desk, you literally have to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom. Also, our room was directly overlooking a carpark area, which made it quite noisy first thing in the morning when people were leaving. Our room also was up a significantly steep driveway from the car park, or only access by stairs.

Great location, nice view of the park. The room was just right for the two of us for an overnight stay. Unfortunately, no bar or restaurant on a Sunday, but easy walking distance to restaurants that were open. The hotel is showing its age a bit, but the decor had been updated at some point, so it wasn't like we had stepped back in time. All up, a comfortable place to stay. I appreciated the parking at the back of the hotel, and the staff were great and happy to assist when asked. We will come back next time we are staying over in Launceston.
The hotel is showing its age a bit, but the decor had been updated at some point, so it wasn't like we had stepped back in time. Shame that the ventilation fan didn't work in the bathroom and the kettle was on its last legs. Shout out to Sam, who, on request, found us another kettle in no time at all. It would be good at some point to have the windows cleaned on the outside, but that is a minor detail.

The location was convenient and close to what we wanted to do such as being right across City Park and walking distance to the mall. We liked that it was located on the quieter side of town. The bathroom had a good layout and lovely modern look. Our room was clean and had a lovely vista. We only had interaction with Front Reception staff members on check in and check out who were both lovely.
The room was on the smaller side for 3 people but was comfortable. The parking spots are a little bit tight for unloading and loading the car especially when there's big cars parked side by side.

Relatively central - I could walk to the town. The hotel is across the road from a park with lovely big trees and a playground. The reception staff were amazing when I realised I’d left something important in the room just as I was boarding my flight. Maddi was sooo helpful in helping to locate the item and arrange for it to be posted to me at home. So grateful 😀
The service in the restaurant was a little bit lacking. As in our mains came out before the entree and then dessert took such a long time - it appears communication between the waiter and the chef was lacking.

Premium king room. Good sized room and bathroom. Very large shower. Good toiletry provisions. Lovely view of the park. Comfy bed. Extra pillows in cupboard, definitely needed. Parking free on site. The restaurant, Titanium, on site was fabulous. Food was delicious.
Needs a microwave in the room. Shower head from ceiling. And very dusty air vent. Bins hadn't been changed in the bathroom. Patios were not that clean.

Clean, comfortable, central location. Reception staff polite and helpful.
City view room was a bit loud at times. There is a note next to provided earplugs saying “some people like the sound of the city…”. I grew up in a city on a main road near an industrial area, with trucks passing frequently, and traffic noise wasn’t as noticeable as this. At times it was as if there was no window. On one night a car went past several times around 3am with horn blasting. Fortunately I am not too bothered by noise, and prefer it to silence, but for others who may be hoping for a relaxing night’s sleep, it’s best to know it may be a little more than just some city noise.

Walking distance to city park. Enough parking space. Valuable for money. Room is spacious and very clean. Love the big rain shower.
Booked deluxe king room and the room they provided do not have Netflix or Apple TV despite they advertise it on their website. However the reception was helpful and assigned us to another room with Netflix. Slippers, I was hoping to get a pair of slippers but they don’t have it. Pillows are very soft but each to their own. We personally prefer a firmer pillow. Overall I m still very happy with the hotel and would come back.

We wanted to extend our stay at the last minute (0950) and Maddie (receptionist) made it happen. We couldn't stay in the same room but she move us to a room that we could go to straight away. The photos of the room on booking.com don't do the rooms justice, which in my experience is rare.
Price of mini bar.....but that's my fault for not being prepared
