we were arrived at the Rebello when the total block out struck and it was so difficult to get food. we were ushered into our room with the very pleasant and welcoming staff. you could see they were doing the best to make us feel comfortable. the room was very spacious and with very good amenities. it was clean and very homey. we were tole that at 830 pm they would serve paella dinner at the roof top. upon dinner time we were amazed that they set up the place like there was a party and served paella salad and meat. the staff were very pleasant and reassuring and i commend them for that. for a weary international traveller to be assured and taken care off they were really amazing and worthy of commendation.

Wonderful view of the city and the river, the design and comfort is very good. Very kind and attentive staff. I had a massage too which was very nice and relaxing. The distance from the city makes it a calm spot to unwind after a long day.

Our outdoor terrace was not very clean. For our room, the spa area was not approachable easily, only through the lobby and the restaurant area which was a bit strange... Also the kitchen is there to use, but we did not have a sponge or washing up liquid for the sink. (At least we couldn’t find it.

It is a beautiful hotel, very aesthetically pleasing, very well designed. The spa area is also beautifully finished and very peaceful. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and plentiful. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. The views are to die for, the hotel is in a perfect location. We had a full view of the bridge, day or night it was picture perfect. The staff were the best, very professional and were eager to help you at all times. I could not fault this hotel at all we loved it. We ate at pot&pan and it was gorgeous food the waiter who looked after us was a lovely. He was very knowledgeable and a polite, friendly person. The roof top bar and restaurant was very good also with the most stunning views. We will return without a doubt we couldn’t have asked for a better stay, thank you.

Beautiful property in a great location. Outside of the hustle and bustle but with good walkability. The surrounding area of Vila Nova de Gaia is less crowded than the old town north of the river but still close to it. Views to the old town are unique. Great staff and service. Tasteful interiors. Kitchen in our suite was well equipped. There was an issue during our first night and staff went above and beyond to make things right. Professional and courteous. Rooftop bar is pleasant and offers a good selection of drinks and snacks. Breakfast is good but can get a little hectic at times. Coffee is not the greatest but the coffee maker in our room along with the provided tabs made delicious espresso.

The spa is small considering the size of the hotel. Time slots of 45 minutes have to be booked in advance. While this guarantees that the spa facilities are not overcrowded, it takes away some of the relaxation one would like to experience in a five star spa hotel. Perfectly fine for a quick sauna and splash in the pool but if you’re an enthusiast who likes to swim lengths and go for an extended sauna / steam bath (there is none) session, this may not be ideal for you.

The attention to detail was incredible - from all the freebies / snacks / drinks in the room, the complimentary biscuits left after having our room cleaned, and the refill of teas/coffees. The service was great and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. We had a free room upgrade on arrival which was a lovely surprise! The spa was so aesthetic and you could use the pool/sauna as often as you like. The staff in the pot & pan restaurant managed to fit us in at super short notice and the food there was delicious! The selling point for us was definitely the rooftop bar with the views over Porto which was just stunning!

Can’t fault anything

This hotel is really beautiful with extraordinary attention to detail. All the staff were absolutely exceptional and the rooms were gorgeous and the rooftop bar/lounge was exceptional. We don't usually do hotel breakfasts but we did here and it was fantastic and absolutely worth it. Even the coffee was terrific and we also travel with our own pour over coffee

We loved everything about this hotel, absolutely everything. The only thing was there were lots of Americans staying and they were doing that usual American traveller stuff.... really loud and really unself aware about how they impact other people. Absolutely not the hotels fault!

The most attentive and kind staff from reception to both restaurants. Great food options at rooftop Bello with delicious Francesinha and amazing meals at Potandpan, too. Location is fantastic at the better side of the river among all wineries. Very large terrace with lots of quality furniture and sun beds and the two-bedeoom suite was equipped with Smeg appliances and the fridge was stocked including private label wine brand that turned to be pretty good. Overall upscale and spacious suite and the deal is sweetened with incredible staff-everyone we interacted with for 4 days has been nothing but genuinely nice and always smiling. Great place not to be missed while in Porto.

Nothing, excellent stay

My friend and I traveled from NYC and stayed in the 2-bedroom suite with a river view, and it was absolutely stunning. Truly postcard perfect. Waking up to the tranquil view each morning felt like a dream. The space itself felt luxurious, modern, and beautifully furnished, with incredibly comfortable beds that made it hard to leave. The hospitality was exceptional, every detail was taken care of with genuine warmth and care. The spa experience was another highlight, especially the massage, which was incredibly relaxing. I looked forward to the daily breakfast each morning. It was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, a perfect start to the day. The hotel is in a fantastic location, peaceful yet still walkable into the heart of the city or just a short Uber ride away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene, stylish, and rejuvenating stay in Porto.

I wish there's a warmer jacuzzi area in the spa, but everything else more than made up for it.

Nice spa with indoor pool. Modern, well appointed room with small kitchen with everything needed for self catering (microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, full size fridge with freezer compartment). Complimentary items in the fridge (soft drinks, beer, wine, water and fresh milk. Nespresso coffee maker (six free pods per day), tea bags, and reasonably priced snacks. Short walk to the fantastic WOW centre and most of the big port wine tasting/tour facilities. If you like port, this is the place to stay!

On the south bank of the river so some walking required but the cable car or the water taxi got us to the north bank and the historic city centre in 15-20 minutes, so not a problem.

I can’t rave about this property enough. Their service, housekeeping, turn down service EVERYTHING was incredible. They apologized for not giving us a room w the view of the river, but what they gave us was a room with this huge (shared) garden and when you walk outside you can seee the river anyway. Absolutely the best. We got a 2 bdr hotel room (apartment?) and it has 2 huge and beautiful en-suite rooms with the living area and kitchen in the middle. Absolute heaven because we have kids and by having separate rooms which are apart really helps with sleeping (for the adults). All the rooms have tv so the kids can watch tv if they wake up early. There is a free kids club which is a blessing (sorry kids!) Buffet breakfast (included) was AWESOME. We went up to the rooftop bar for food one day but my kid was ill (not from the food just to be clear) and we had to rush back to our room. They kindly packed all the food up for us and send it to our room. We are very blessed to be able to stay here!

I am being so very picky here but the gym was nice but don’t have enough weights machine and no towels- that being said the staff immediately went to get us some. Again nit picking but turn down service the first night we got snacks but the second night we didn’t. Also the guest slippers could have been more comfy.
