We enjoyed our stay, beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Kitchen was fully equipped, we were asked if we would like to have milk and we received one small bottle. 1 towel set was missing upon our arrival (we were 3) but after asking it was brought to our door immediately.

We were little unlucky and some group had party during our 1 night stay and they set directly in front of our bedroom window. Here I appreciated intervention from the owner - he insisted that they will leave until they did - it was around 1:30 am and rest of the night was quiet.

The staff were friendly and very patient with my friends and I being a large group. Was lovely and clean rooms and close to Waihi town. Kitchen has all the appliances that you might need to cook yourself a nice meal which was a lovely surprise.

Was very little parking for each room, I parked out front next to my room but it made it tough for people to squeeze past my SUV and round to the other rooms parking. The spa was lovely and very kind of the staff to let us use it for so long but it had dirt/sediment in it.

The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. The pool was the main reason we booked, and it was perfect for kids as it was 1 m deep the whole way around. The location was great, and it was handy to town and motorways. The rooms were dated but clean and comfy and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a separate bedroom for the kids, rather than the one room studio we booked.

The room was very clean and tidy which is always my thing. Room was well set out and had everything that we needed while we were staying. The motel was close to the things that we wanted to do in the Gorge, it was close to the super market so I could walk and get supplies. There was also a playground close by and the children enjoyed swimming in the pool at the motel. The hosts were helpful and serviced our room to a high standard.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We all had a good rest after spending the days at the beach that is only a few minutes away. There was a pool onsite for us to cool off also. We had a little kitchenette and a decent sized fridge/freezer so we had the option to stay in and make dinner in our room instead of going out every night while the kids enjoyed a swim and their grandmother relaxed on the beach chairs close by. After dinner we were able to watch a couple movies as they had Sky TV. We really enjoyed our stay and saved ourselves some money so that was a plus.

Nothing that comes to mind, we had a problem free experience.

Loved the sunset view that we had, location, there's a pool and also spa there if anyone wanted it 🥰 owner was so lovely about me and my little family turning up way later then expected.. We were close to shops ans only a 10min drive away from the beach, also the waterfall was just down the road it was beautiful such a lovely weekend away 🥰

There were caretaker staff there when we stayed and they were amazing, so helpful and friendly. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and having the best time. Can't speak highly enough of them.

The knobs were hard to read on the cooktop, a little worn.

Location and owners were wonderful. Unit was super clean and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log. The Sky TV system was excellent. Towel supply was great in room servicing. The owners were working real hard and were a delight to deal with. The pool was great as was the spa pool facility. The location on the main road was near to town and to a great kids park and playground.

Bathroom etc was very dated (80's) with an old Feltonmix mixer ,steel tray with a shower curtain, and plastic bowl for washing dishes in the cupboard. The plastic chairs around the dinner table were so uncomfortable for someone my size as the backrest buckled when leaning back. I had to sit on the bed which due to a back injury was also hard as no backrest. Just a note re general motel supplies -most tea people drink Breakfast tea not the other weird stuff thats always on offer. Better balance of sachets maybe. Rubbish bin wasn't emptied and I had to go in search of rubbish and recycling bins to clear our rubbish. The fridge light also was broken. The motel is under new management and we appreciate that a process of modernisation is pending and in progress.

We got a family room. Was really spacious with 2 singles and 2 doubles across 2 rooms. Everything was clean, and tidy. Room had a heater and so was warm for the whole night. Think it was good value for the money.

The milk froze in the fridge, but it's not that big a deal.

We only stayed for one night and found it very good . It was 5 mins away from the wedding and 5 mins away from the reception at RSA. The rooms were very cosy , but we could hear the neighbours talking all night lol .
