Overall we were very pleased with this hotel in a converted Victorian house. The location was really great, in the West End opposite the River Kelvin and right near the metro. The room was quite standard, not one of those eccentric British conversions as I feared. We had an attic room which only had a skylight but it was very pleasant and quite spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fabulous Persian restaurant just up the road, and great Italian too.

There is no lift, but the receptionist got the handyman to help us up with the bags which made it easier (we were on the second floor). The shower pressure was terrible, to the point where it was not really possible to wash our hair. The quilt was too hot but that’s the same everywhere. The parking was a bit complicated but not insurmountably so (street parking at night and weekend, cheapish parking station during the day).

The location was excellent for exploring Glasgow, with the Subway in close proximity, although we walked to most locations. Just a short stroll away there is a good choice of bars, cafes and restaurants. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable and for a city location quiet. The breakfast was more than adequate and freshly prepared to order. Staff were helpful and courteous. The decor in the hotel was well maintained and contemporary.

The bathroom was tight and it took a while for the hot water to arrive!

I had stayed here 9 years ago and came back because I had had a very pleasant experience. The single room is a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. The area is quiet and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The hotel is very near the Kelvinbridge subway station.

All was good. My only comment is that check-in is until 10pm -- luckily despite my flight's delay I still managed to arrive before the limit time.

Very conveniently located, just opposite Kelvinbridge Subway Station, and within walking distance of the University and other places I was visiting. Clean, comfortable, warm, slept well

The breakfast coffee did not taste like coffee! After the first morning I made proper breakfast coffee from fresh filter bags in my room, and simply drank hot water in the breakfast room. My room was just next to the breakfast room, and I suppose it was to be expected that there was a lot of loud conversation just outside my door very early on the last morning

Very friendly welcome from the two ladies on reception. Good size room and bathroom. Good location - not far from the Kelvingrove Museum and the Botanical Gardens. There's a subway station 2 minutes away.

The room was in the roof and very warm. The velux needed to have been opened to air it out, as it was warmer in the room than outside (it was about 18/19°C in Glasgow the day I stayed). I opened it after checking in about 2pm and the room had finally cooled when I went to bed, although i kept it open all night to get a breeze in. I let reception know, when I checked out, that I'd left it open so the room was cooler for the next person.

The hotel is well located in the west end. The subway station is right across the road which makes it easy to go in the city centre. There are also lots of places for food and drinks nearby. The bed was very comfortable and the street is really quiet at night so I had a great sleep.

I filtered hotel with parking. The hotel does not actually have a parking but uses the street parking opposite. It is quite expensive if not night and weekends.

My family and I have stayed here several times. The location is fantastic, staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And the cleanliness of the rooms is great. There are often great last minute discounts available on the rooms which are very good value for money considering the good standards offered at the hotel.

My particular room could do with some table lamps at the side of the bed. I had to use my phone torch to read in bed as the only other option was the overhead light.

The location of Albion Hotel was perfect. I was only in Glasgow for one day and it was within walking distance of great places-- Ashton Lane and Kelvingrove Art Museum. The low price was great.

The only thing I didn't like was when I was going to bed I smelled cigarette smoke. I don't think it was coming from the inside, but I had to open the window to let in some fresh air. Also- there wasn't complementary shampoo and I had just run out. Plan aheead!

Room was very cute, with a lovely window looking out on the street. It was a double bed -- perfect for me travelling solo but would be a bit tight with 2 people. Everything was laid out intelligently and there were lots of nice touches like copious outlets and a little coffee/tea maker. Shower was great. Breakfast was cooked to order. Not amazing, but a step above most hotel breakfast buffets.

Great staff, very nice lady who is the owner. Nice breakfast, comfortable, spacious rooms with great beds. It's located in a residential area, few steps from the Glasgow tube which goes to the centre. Some late open bars are as well in the area. There is no lift in the building so make sure you can lift your bags to the upper floors. Tea, coffee and a kettle are available in the rooms. I will stay there again if I come back to Glasgow.

One little thing, smell of breakfast was noticeable in the top floor rooms
