There is absolutely nothing that we didn't love about The Gaydon. Kate and Keith were perfect hosts, our room was cosy and comfortable, with the biggest bed I have ever seen. Everything was completely spotless, not a spot of dust or dirt anywhere. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. My intolerances were catered for, I was even given soya milk for the room. So many little extra touches were added, such as a complimentary glass of sherry in the evening and biscuits alongside the hot drinks selection in the room. It was a two minute walk to the seafront ( which could be seen from our window) and located on a quiet street with ample parking. We left feeling relaxed and can't wait to return later in the year. Nothing, it was perfect

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gaydon, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt like a cherished guest. The hosts greeted me with genuine warmth and hospitality. Their friendly smiles and personalized attention set the tone for my entire stay. The breakfast at The Westcott is nothing short of delightful. Not only do they cater to special dietary requirements, but they also go the extra mile for vegetarians. The sherry decanter in the evening was a charming touch. After a long day, it was lovely to unwind with a glass of sherry. My room was tastefully decorated, and the attention to detail was evident. There was a binder with lots of info about the area and recommendations about cafes & restaurant. The tea/coffee corner allowed me to enjoy a warm beverage whenever I pleased. The bed was very comfortable. In summary, The Gaydon is more than just a B&B; it’s a haven of comfort, thoughtful gestures, and genuine hospitality. If you’re ever in Lytham St. Annes, I highly recommend making it your home away from home.

The Gaydon is in a quiet part of St Anne's but it is close to the sea and within easy walking distance of the town. Our hosts, Keith and Kate, were very welcoming, friendly and obliging. The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice of options. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom, although small, was fine for us: however, it might be a tight squeeze for some people. If we return next year we will definitely book the Gaydon again.

I would have liked plain yoghurt (rather than just flavoured types) to be available at breakfast.

The owners Kate and Keith are sociable and very helpful. They provided fresh milk to make a good cuppa, and had lots of info about activities etc in Lytham and roundabout. There were 2 comfortable armchairs in our downstairs bedroom, and the bed linen was good. The breakfast table china and table mats are attractive, a cut above. Exceptionally clean.everywhere. The cooked breakfasts are tasty, especially the bacon. Not to be missed.

When the provision of a wide selection of breakfast options is a highlight of staying at the Gaydon, poor quality tasteless marmalade could so easily be rectified. Little plastic pots should be jettisoned, and quality Dundee marmalade, or something similar should be offered. Paying £10 extra for a sea view just gives the client a crick in the neck, and the tide is out a long way.....

I booked for a Christmas present for my parents, they tell me the hotel was extremely clean , very good location everything you need in your room the deco in the dinning room was amazing some fantastic picture for talking points , very welcoming the breakfast served was all top quality with a choice of a full breakfasts , fruit’s, cereal ect … Kate & Keith are very welcoming and my parents loved chatting with them , will certainly be booking again for a second visit thanks to you both for looking after my parents

This was a great find for a two night break, we loved this little B&B situated just a stone's throw from the beachfront (and a great beach cafe with excellent ice-creams!) and a short drive from Blackpool. The hosts, Keith and Kate, were very friendly and welcoming and provided excellent communications in advance of our visit. Greeted with a glass of sherry if we wanted, our room was on the 1st floor, and was very spacious, with high ceilings and great facilities, in particular, an excellent bright and airy bathroom with a very decent shower. The room had several lovely antique pieces and the bed was very comfortable. A tea tray with tea, coffee and biscuits was provided and there was a very good information folder in the room giving the history of the building and why it has its name. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good, with the usual cooked breakfast offerings, plus toast, cereal, fruit, muffins etc. We used Whiteside Taxis to get about on Keith's recommendation, and they were fantastic. Thoroughly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable break.

Parking was our only issue. There are only two spaces at the property so it's on the street and can be a little way away.

The host were brilliant and nothing was to much trouble, it was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stopped in !! Lovely choice at breakfast time, and both Keith and Kate took the time to come and say good morning, Lovely warm comfortable room Will definitely be returning in the near future

Nothing would stop us returning , although the minimum stay is for 2 nights that's not always convenient for us

Good location just off the front and walking distance from St Ann's and Lytham, Restaurants and an excellent award winning old fashion Fish and Chip shop a stone's throw away. Breakfast was of a very high quality with decent amount of choice, hosts were very friendly and helpful with tips about restaurants, buses and the local area etc and even offering a 5.00 O Clock sherry if you wished to partake of one., all in all a very happy customer

Our stay at the Gaydon was wonderful in every aspect. Kate & Keith were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The room was large and had a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. It was nice and warm too as the weather had turned chilly. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of options - most of which I tried! It was a great location also and had parking. Our only regret was that we weren't staying longer!

Faultless in every way. Nothing to dislike

Brilliant second stay at the Gaydon for Christmas. Keith & Kate are fantastic hosts and go that extra mile to make all who stay with them feel welcome. The brakfasts are fabulous. A magnificent choice on display and full English cooked to perfection and as I have food intolerance and allergies they were able to cater for my without any problems at all. Our room was very clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated in a traditional way.

Our room was cold when heating went off as on a timer to be off between around 10:30 am and 16:30 pm. This would not normally be a problem if we were out all day but due to poor weather conditions during our stay and being Christmas day we did not go out until later in the day for dinner.
