Check in time at a normal hotel is 3 o'clock we did get a check in a little after 3 in A-line of about 10 people also was told that it's Check in. normally 4 o'clock. There was a lot of people in line there at that time and we're very upset it wasn't that bad because we kind of knew what they expect but I would think that would be a better process to get people checked in one couple said they had to wait in line for an hour

I said it all on the last one check in could be a lot better for everybody especially the staff they seemed like they were very overwhelmed with not enough help.

The location is amazing. You are across the street from the sand volleyball courts at the boardwalk. The people watching is incredible. The rooms have a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, and a one cup coffee maker. You can sit outside on the balcony and people watch and enjoy the waves and sunset.

Every time I stay at this property, I always ask that they install a hook next to the shower where you can put your robe or towel. Otherwise, you have to step outside of the shower to get a towel when you’re all wet. I’m not sure what the problem is, because that is a very cheap solution. The shelf for the toiletries has been broken and in the process of being fixed since I stayed there last April. That needs to be fixed. The closet to put your clothes in are awful. They need to put shelves in the closet so you have somewhere to stack your clothes.

Wasn't 100% clear on public and private sales (which outdoor furniture belonged to which room). It has a clear no noise after 9pm policy stated on the room cards, but we were woken up by a group below us having a party when they got back from drinking in town. Loud music etc. We eventually got hold of the night manager who did deal with it, but felt this should be made clearer on booking and when accepting group bookings. It was a shame the restaurant was permanently closed and the check-in process took a while as a few people ahead of us had been double-booked. But the female staff member on duty was excellent, could have done with some back-up

The location across the street from the beach is amazing. The room is large and comfortable. New refrigerators with a freezer, microwave, coffee, robes and slippers are great. Outside shared patio has decent chairs and plant dividers in between rooms is great.

I’ve stayed here numerous times and I always say the same things- put a towel hook next to the shower! Put a small hand towel bar next to the sink! Fix the closets so there’s a place to put folded clothes (ie shelves)! Clean the 1 drawer in the “closet” area bc they are always filthy 🤮 The bleach smell in the bathrooms is so strong and so is the mildew smell. 😵‍💫

Such a great location,quiet at night. There is an adorable bench in front of the room with a perfect view. The beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious.

There is no working number or at least that I could find to talk to a person. I kept getting emails but when I tried to message back could not get through. Same issue with thier automated text message. The remote never worked for our room either. The tv was specifically asking for a different brand. Aside from these minor details our stay was very nice and we will definitely be returning.

My husband and I love this place. It’s always our first choice when we go to Santa Cruz. The place has lots of parking spots, is very easy to find and right across from the beach. The view is magnificent you can see the boardwalk the beach and the wharf. Our room had a private balcony with rocking chairs and a fireplace it was the perfect start for our honeymoon

This time we were on a different room and the only thing I didn’t like was the night stand was way to close to the bed and I hit my head a couple times. The room also needs something sit because the bed is very tall.

Nice location. View was adequate. we were able to see the beach from our side patio, but had a bigger view of the new hotel across the street, which is annoyinly huge (in my opinion) gives away the cute little town feeling and the poor houses behind it have ZERO view now. But, we did enjoy the hotel and would stay there again if the price was lower.

$589 for one night (on the 4th of July) was shocking! No blow dryer in the rooms and not sure if it had an elevator, but the small flights of stairs was rough after a day on the beach and boardwalk.

Very close to the beach, quiet, family friendly. Location is notable and the price was decent!

We had to physically walk to the front desk and ask for towels (every time), twice per day; lots of showers were taken due to sandy bodies from the beach. We had ZERO luck reaching the front desk using the phone. We had to walk there to ask if our room could be cleaned when it was already 3 pm… hotel lobby is NOT 24 hours. We met many people who were locked out of their rooms, needed things and the front desk was closed

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here and the 2nd time in this room (2 queens ocean view). I brought my dog and the room was very big, large frig, micro, shared deck off room overlooking volleyball courts, beach, ocean. Can walk to restaurants, shopping, trails etc. Bathrobe and slippers provided.

Need hooks next to the shower for your towel when showering. Need a hook or small towel bar next to the sink. Need floor matts outside of both doors. Since it's an extra $35 for a pet you should provide a dog towel(s) and a sheet. It would be a nice touch to have fresh bakery items, not the packaged ones, for breakfast. A lot of stairs...There weren't any dog poop bags in the dog potty area.

CasaBlanca is advertised as a four-star hotel, but based on my experience, it feels more like a well-maintained three-star. On the second day, our room wasn't cleaned, which is unexpected for a four-star establishment. The reception staff wasn’t really collaborative and smiling.
