Location was amazing, central city. The reception staff were really friendly. The lady that serviced our room was so bright, bubbly, friendly and efficient. Your staff are definitely to a high level. We ate dinner at the restaurant during our stay and our meals were to a high standard, staff also really friendly. Our room had everything we needed and the hotel was in walking distance of everywhere we needed to go.

It took a little while to get use to the frosted glass bathroom to be honest, but it was no drama, we just hadn’t seen that before. You just have to hold the door a few seconds before letting go so it stays shut.

Location was great as going to show at St James. Very convenient to airport express bus service. Nice and quiet - well sound proofed. Comfortable bed. Great restaurant on site, though priced for special evening out. Would be great if it offered hotel guests a discount to encourage eating there more than once.

Not keen on shower/toilet modesty glass, it was just as well the person who was going to stay with me was unable to come. Felt like showering in a goldfish bowl.The door to bathroom/toilet doesnt fully close so if you were on the toilet and someone was using kitchenette you could be seen. Didn't get clean mugs/glasses for my second day (they replaced bathroom towels but left me dirty mugs in the coffee/tea corner, with no clean ones provided).

Efficient, helpful registrar. Parking Garage Attendant, Willem, a God send directing us through extremely narrow ramps to parking space. Rooms spacious. Ultra-modern design is attractive but has impractical glass bathroom walls. Windowless room needs desk light. Poor lighting in bath over sink for shaving or applying makeup. Plush towels. Quiet.

Due to a medical emergency, we had to extend our stay by one night. Rather than charging us the same rate, the hotel upgraded us to a room with a window and charged us 50% more. The lighting in both rooms is poorly designed for functionality.

Great location, very easy to catch the airport bus and close to good food/shopping options.

It was great for me travelling solo, but probably wouldn’t be as good for groups/families as the shower and toilet have frosted glass instead of doors to separate them from the room.

The location was great and the pillows were huge and fluffy. The room was clean and the check in/check out process was efficient.

The gym had the basic necessities, but I wish the equipment was facing the door. I had to consistently turn around to make sure i didn’t miss someone walking in. This is the Oaks Wellington Hotel which wasn’t clearly communicated in the booking process.

Facilities, modern look, great shower

The fact that I checked into my room and the electrician maintenance person was in my room and was lying on the bed and then knocked and came back again as he left his light bulbs. Quite disappointed in this, very unprofessional and would prefer no random to be laying on a bed I paid for the night

They were very helpful and accomodating. I asked for 2 rooms beside each other and to make them up into 2 singles and both were fulfilled. The rooms were very clean and the location was Excellent.

The bathroom door wouldnt stay shut which is not ideal when you are sharing with a friend. I know they were short staffed but an offer of clean towels and emptying the bin would have been appreciated.

The location was ideal for buses to anywhere in the city. Upon arrival, the problem (a false cancellation) was quickly resolved. Lots of food outlets nearby.

When I arrived, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled. The bed was two singles pushed together.

The bed was very comfortable. Nice use of glass in the shower made an otherwise small room feel fairly spacious (but be aware that between that and the sliding glass, non-airtight bathroom door, you want to be sharing the room with a *very* good friend). Staff were great. Wasn't allowed to use the gym or restaurant because of my vax status, but that's not the hotel's fault. Aircon/heatpump, which isn't a given at this price point in Wellington.

Parking is inexpensive (for Wellington), but the garage is *really* tight. I'd hesitate to use it with a RAV4 SUV again. Fine if you have a hatchback. The corridors were a bit scuffed, but the room was in good shape.

Love the location, it was perfect for us because we wanted to go out and explore Wellington during the night and was close to many restaurants. The best part for us was a very comfortable bed, one night away from our busy lives and we slept like we haven’t had a decent sleep for years lol. Thank you, will definitely stay here again.

Would be great if the tv was connected to the internet so we can enjoy more varieties of movies while relaxing.
