A nice place, remodeled older hotel, they did a nice job, clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful.

They charge for any little damage, makup on face cloths, stain on sheets, etc. They ranged from $20 tp $4000. I was rather nervous the whole time, afraid to make any mistakes. I asked for an inspection before checkout to make sure I would not be surprised with a bill on my credit card. NO HAIR DRYER OR ICE BUCKET HOU HAVE TO ASK. Office doesn't open till 8 and closes at 10:30 so if you dont know and need to go early, you have no hair dryer, or want ice at 11 pm like I did.

This is a hidden gem. Price was great for the area. Staff (Alfonso) was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. The property was very quiet. The room was fantastic. Everything was redone. New carpet, countertops, shower, A/C. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the sheets were amazing (seriously). Water pressure was good and water was nice and hot. The towels were thick, soft, and fluffy. The A/C worked great and fast, and there was a large screen TV on the wall (big for the room). Everything was extremely clean in the room too. I can't say enough how impressed I was with this little place. Was it the ritz... no, but for the money and customer service, I can't recommend this motel enough!!

I don't like saying anything negative about Castle Rock because you can really see the effort put into the rooms and the comfort. If I had to say anything, I'd say the outside needs a facelift. The inside is fantastic, but you don't get that from the street view. There are attempts to make it inviting and you can tell that the owners are really trying to make it nice (as evidenced by the rooms), but the outside looks old and run-down, which would turn off customers that don't see the online reviews (and trust what they say). As nice of a stay as we had here, it really pains me to say anything negative.

the room to move around was adequate, beds very comfortable. The area was quiet, even thought on a main street. Location-excellent to the main freeway and restaurants. We even decided to stay there on our return trip. The family that owns the property were very very nice.

the water pressure in the shower could use a boost and they need grab bars in there too.

Our expensive was incredible. The gentleman at the office was accommodating to me being disabled and getting in the office to book our stay. He apologized for not having a handicap shower with handles. The room was extremely clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The bedding was so pretty, we wanted to know where to get it from. The guy was extremely helpful when we had to talk to him. I would stay there again at any time.

Castle Rock is very easy to find, inexpensive, and close to many restaurants and shops. The manager at the front desk was very nice when I checked in. He told me he would be available until 11pm. and 8am. if I needed anything and suggested good restaurants to eat with my family. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, towels were clean and soft, and the shower was also clean. There was a small refrigerator, folding table, and chair to play cards or eat. I was very impressed staying at Castle Rock and would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Castle Rock!

No food/breakfast is offered, but they have future plans to have breakfast. Hopefully, they can get the needed permits to cook breakfast.

Very friendly and very informative--they really try to anticipate what questions guests might have, like how do you work the air conditioing, and show you when you check in. Good facilities in the room in terms of good air con, fridge, even the kleenex and toilet paper are good quality.

Our room was by an outside light that was so bright, we could have read a book all night long. The light finally went off about 5am. There was no ice in the ice machine and the office was closed in the morning so we couldn't get any. We just wanted to put ice in a cup of coffee because there was no microwave to heat the coffee in our thermos. There is no coffee machine in the room and while it looked like there may have been coffee in the lobby, given the lobby was closed we couldn't acess it. And, there is no microwave in the room. The mattress quality is also very soft.

Room is exceptionally clean, new shower, refrigerator. Conveniently there is a Starbucks on one side and an excellent Asian restaurant on the other side that’s open late.

Location is convenient for travelers- close to highways, gas stations-but not in a very aesthetically pleasing part of town. Watch out for pedestrians and bikes getting in and out of the parking lot! That said, you can see the mountains as you sip coffee at Starbucks.

The price for the room was better than most that we paid for on our entire trip. The room was super clean and looked as if it was newly renovated. One could actually see the vacuum marks on the carpet. The bed was comfortable and so was the room. We arrived somewhat late to the room but the staff showed us to the room and was very friendly.

The hotel does not have someone at the place after a certain time so check-in needs to be done before that time. Not really something that we didn't like but just for others to know if they stay here. It was not a deal breaker for us at all.

Large DBL Q bed room, large counter top space with dresser, desk and short suitcase bench. Comfortable beds. Good BR with sink inside….also sink outside BR, both with large counter space. Good water pressure with hot water. TV with good reception. Fridge and microwave both worked well. Front desk personnel very helpful and pleasant. Has self laundry to use on site and worked well. Pickleball, basketball and mini golf (right outside door and actually was quiet) also has in/outside pool…all saw some use over the week.

Room rather dark unless you have curtains open. Carpeting appeared clean (prefer laminate). Towels fair, not very fluffy. On-site restaurant not open (finishing renovation at time of stay). Complementary breakfast space a bit tight (maybe due to renovations).

I would have given a 10 but people are sometimes skeptical of a 10. Sonia, the owner, is exceptional. She went extra miles again and again, and acted like I was her only guest even though every room was booked because of ball players' annual retreat. The bed and sheets! Wonderful. Cleanliness. Exceptional. I will always go to Castle Rock on my trips to Flagstaff from Phoenix. Five stars. Wonderful accommodations.
