A Perfect Romantic Getaway 🌿✨ Baywaterviews Bed & Breakfast was everything we hoped when we booked it. The views were absolutely stunning. We booked it for a romantic getaway and ended up spending most of our time right at the BnB soaking in the private hot tub. It felt like our own little slice of paradise. Communication was seamless and friendly from start to finish—warm, professional, and helpful. It was also incredibly easy to get anywhere from the location, but honestly, we were so happy just being there that we didn’t venture far. This place is a gem. Can’t recommend it enough—we’ll absolutely be back! 💛

Mike was an outstanding host - welcoming, generous with his time, and full of excellent recommendations for exploring the Bay of Islands. He ensured our stay was comfortable by keeping our room spotless clean and serving a lovely breakfast each morning. The balcony view was a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend!

The accommodation is just a five-minute drive from town, making it very convenient if you have a car. Without one, it's a hilly 45-minute walk to the centre of Paihia. That said, Mike generously offered to drive us into town whenever we needed, which was greatly appreciated.

Excellent host, he was absolutely amazing, we totally enjoyed our time at Baywaterviews because of our host, he made sure that we had everything we needed, he even helped us with our luggage, and made sure my husband (who is partially disabled due to having had a stroke), was comfortable, he provided special treatment for my husband ensuring accessibility was easier for him. Our host cooked us delicious breakfasts.The property/unit was so very clean, with excellent furnishings and presentation. Thank you so much to our host and his cute dog.

Amazing views of the bay, the whole property was neat and extremely well kept. Facilities were clean and well presented. The breakfasts were superb. The host was very generous with his sharing of what there was to see and do in the area, with a detailed map and links to websites. It was quiet and private, yet only a five minute drive away from the township. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Be aware that the property is on a slope do you will have to negotiate some steps. Not too difficult though.

Mike is a personable welcoming host with extensive experience in hospitality. He provided a wonderful breakfast every day - fresh fruit, cereal, and our choice of cooked. Always a friendly welcome in the mornings and helped the guests interact over breakfast. Mike has detailed knowledge of places to see and things to do from the area that he has personally visited, and helped us discover some great places and experiences. Our room was serviced every day so it was nice to come back to a clean room everyday. The spa pool and view from our room made a relaxing end to our days particularly overlooking the lush garden.

Mike was a wonderful host—I will truly say he is the best we have ever had. He is kind, helpful and we really enjoyed speaking with him about so many things. I commented on a book he had finished reading and he insisted that I take it on my travels. I was also having credit card issues and he helped me sort those out with such a caring demeanour. A hot breakfast was cooked to order one day and on the other, he made sure we had food in our room so we could get an early start. As well, Wookie the little dog was such a cute, loving dog. If I could give Mike 11/10, I would. Thanks so much!

Absolutely nothing!

Location fantastic! View from the balcony, magnificent! Room large and very comfy. The Stressless chairs enabled several memorable naps over the 3 days we were there!!!! Location great for exploring local area and so much to do and see. Mike is a great host and a font of so much knowledge about the area. Good breakfast and excellent chats over breakfast, very relaxed and informal. Excellent value for money.

The views from our room on the balcony were outstanding! (see attached photo) Mike kept the whole place spotless, and prepared a tasty, healthy breakfast including fruit & yoghurt, followed by bacon, eggs, hash brown etc. He was a fount of useful advice and local knowledge. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the house was on a quiet road 5-10 minutes North from Paihia with it's large supermarket, plenty of places to eat, and boat trips/ferries into the Bay of Islands. There was also a local grocery store 2 minutes walk at the end of the road. We looked forward to getting back to the peace, quiet & views after busy days out.

We booked this place last minute due to heavy rain, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The view was absolutely stunning—both in the rain and at sunrise. What impressed us most was how clean and well-maintained everything was, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and we were able to enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. Our whole family was very satisfied with our stay!

Mike and Wookie were the perfect hosts with the perfect home! We were so lucky we had the chance to stay with them and only wish we had more time. The space is fabulous, well equipped and very clean. The hot tub with the view made it so memorable. And having morning breakfast with Mike’s delicious food and Wookie keeping us company made us feel at home. If you’re lucky enough to snag an apartment here book it!
