The host (Marco) and staff (David) were very welcoming. They always greeted us with a good smile and chat about how we spent the day. Talking to them was not easy as they do not understand English and we do not understand Italian. But we could still somehow manage to talk. The hotel is close to St Agnello station, 5 minutes walk. We got direct train from Naples to St Agnello, the train runs every 20 minutes. The hotel is located in a narrow lane away from the noise of the town. The hotel has all the information on a big board at the reception stating timing of trains, ferries leaving and arriving in Sorrento, nearby restaurants. Sorrento port is 2.5kms, can be reached by taxi (30 Euros) or bus (2 Euro). The bus stop is 8 minutes by walk. There is a vespa rental scooter guy near the hotel (7 minutes walk). Marco allowed us to park our rented vespa overnight without any charge. Impeccable clean hotel, lift available, nice room. Our room view was a lemon and orange garden. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many nice restaurants within 5-7 minutes walk. We tried many of them during our 4 days stay.

The room does not have kettle for tea or coffee which was a big let down for me. The first thing I need every morning is coffee. With no kettle in the room, I had to go down every morning to get coffee, which was available from 7am onwards. Empty fridge, not even one water bottle was provided at check in. The breakfast was very basic with just one hot serving, scrambled and boiled eggs. They both get cold after some time. We had to heat the boiled eggs in microwave oven. No omlette, any other hot serving, only one option in bread, white bread, no fresh juice. Variety of cakes to offer. The menu was same every day. Wifi was good at the reception but bad in the room. We switched to using our mobile network internet in the hotel instead of hotel wifi.

Loved the staff so friendly and welcoming. We arrived late at night. We were greeted with a buongiorno and a smile. They helped us plan our tours to Pompeii and Amalfi coast. Always a buongiorno buongiorno buongiorno in the morning. There was a good selection for breakfast with coffee from cafe to cappuccino. In the afternoon you can enjoy a drink on the patio. You can walk to Sorrento approx 10 minute walk. If you take the main road it is very narrow walking. The best is the road close to the water - take a left from the hotel. We loved our stay and would highly recommend. We would definitely return ❤️

Marko, his wife, Daniel and the housekeeper were brilliant. Friendly and helpful. We stayed for 14 nights so were given a room on the second floor with a lovely balcony. The room was cleaned every day with lovely linen and towels. Very good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was continental with fresh fruit and lovely flowing coffee. Marko is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Always around and happy to give advice. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk (we preferred to walk along the front) from Sorrento. It was quiet with lovely places to eat. Train station and bus stop just 5 minute walk. A great managed beach at the bottom of the road (15 euros each for the day, but food pricy so take your own!). We loved the peace and quiet at night. Would strongly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much!

Would have been nice to make a coffee in the room and night but plenty of places just at the top of the road.

Marko the owner and all the staff were brilliant. They were friendly and helpful with all our requests. The room was cleaned every day, we received fresh and clean towels when we needed them daily. The showers and bathrooms were very good, the air conditioning in the sofa. Breakfast was continental with fresh fruit, coffee prepared by Marco. Marko is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. He is always present and happy to give advice on nearby restaurants, attractions, nearby stardn. The hotel is about 20-30 minutes walk from Sorrento, 5 minutes by train. The hotel and the train stop are a 5- 10 minute walk. Sant'Agnello is a quiet little town with nice streets and parks, worth a stroll around. There is a very good grocery shop in Via A.Balsamo in the centre. The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk from the accommodation, in Corso Mario Crawford street, accessed via the hatch opposite the Hotel Maditerraneo. The stardra can be reached either by lift or by a winding path in the belly of the hill. The stradraa, maintained by Maditerreneo, has an entrance fee of 7-15 EUR,. There is a small clay section to access the water, but there are plenty of sunbeds, food is expensive, so bring your own. I've been travelling for many years, this was one of the best experiences I've had.

The wifi signal strength was fine, but the internet speed was only 1 Mb/s. Unfortunately, the whole hotel only shares a 10 Mb/s internet connection. It's fine for general browsing, but you don't want to download a movie.

Bright, modern room with a lovely balcony a short walk away from the hussle of Sorrento. Host so welcoming and friendly - super tasty breakfast. Hotel surrounded by lemon and orange trees which made the area so fragrant. Restaurant Alfred a short walk away provided excellent dinner menus at a reasonable price. We arrived by train and it was a short stroll from San Agnello station. Comfortable, clean and spacious (other guests had great interconnecting family rooms) - would 100% recommend.

Hotel Angelina was a beautifully-presented, very welcoming hotel and really made our first trip to Italy even more special. Marco and his team were incredibly friendly, and nothing was too much to ask from them. The entire hotel was extremely clean, the rooms (we had a superior double room) very spacious with a fridge, en-suite, balcony, fresh towels every day, comfortable bed and much more. Marco let us park our hire car in the hotel-owned underground car park, and was always around to give us any help, recommendations for food/drink and generally anything we needed. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic; cakes, bread, croissants, cold meats and cheeses, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, fresh eggs and much more. This hotel is rated a 2* on booking.com due to facilities (no pool, evening meal etc.), but personally I would give it a 10/10. Only a 20 min walk from Sorrento centre and a fraction of the cost of other hotels in the area, it really is a hidden gem. We will be back to visit Sorrento again, and I flat out refuse to stay anywhere else!

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property, the customer service we received from Marco and all the Staff at Hotel Angelina was second to none!

Room was comfortable and very clean and quite large. Bathroom was equally large and well equipped. Staff - especially the owner was very welcoming and friendly, gave great directions/tips for Sorrento/

Our hairdryer turns off after just 1 minute of using as it overheats - means it takes a while to dry your hair. Although the soundproofing between the walls was good, the soundproofing of the door of the room was terrible. You could very clearly (and sometimes loudly) hear anybody in the hallway, and all the way from the elvator/lobby. At time, it was loud enough to wake us up. I really think this needs to be addressed by the owner.

Lovely hotel, nice rooms that are clean and fresh, friendly hosts, good breakfast and a great location walking distance from Sorrento and close to the bus and train station.

Everything was perfect for us.

The whole experience was above my expectation. Marco was courteous, thoughtful and made the experience very memorable. Breakfast was regularly presented in a very professional manner. The room was very well presented and very functional. The air conditioning was excellent and without it given the heat conditions as experienced, might have made sleeping difficult. The location of the property was excellent, close to the train station and supermarket.

There wasn't anything. For an experienced solo traveller, there was no shortcomings.

The staff in this hotel were exceptional! They were extremely polite, helpful and made us feel right at home. The rooms were cleaned every day, and were spotless upping arrival. There were two hairdryers, which was perfect for us. We would stay here again when we visit next time! The location was so near the train station that it was easy to get around and a straight walk from sorrento when we missed the last train back.
