Grand Hotel Cocumella, Sorrento 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What a gem of a hotel! Grand Hotel Cocumella perfectly blends historical charm with modern luxury, making your stay truly special. The location is ideal: within walking distance of the center of Sorrento, yet for added convenience, there’s also a shuttle bus available. A thoughtful touch! Still, the hotel feels like a peaceful oasis, far removed from the hustle and bustle. Our lunch on the terrace in the beautiful garden was an absolute highlight. Not only was the food delicious, but the setting – surrounded by flowers, palm trees, and serenity – was simply enchanting. The staff were consistently kind, professional, and genuinely attentive. You truly feel welcome. Another great feature was the private beach, accessible by a lift – a unique experience and perfect on hot days. Breakfast each morning was varied and plentiful, with something for everyone. By the pool, there were always enough loungers, with no sign of the usual "towel wars." Wonderfully relaxing. In short: a fantastic stay where everything felt just right. Grand Hotel Cocumella is the perfect place for anyone seeking luxury, peace, and a touch of Italian romance. We’d love to return!

Beautiful and serene environment. Very easy and fast to get to Sorrento. Nice pool and beach setup.

We traveled with kids that are generally well behaved but like to laugh and have fun in the pool. We were told multiple times that they need to be quieter. And I heard them tell another family with kids, who were happily playing in the pool, to also be quiet. I get it, but they should have been clearer up front. And 2 of the 4 nights we were there they had weddings with loud music. Seems ironic that we were being told to be quiet....

The highlight for us was the staff - everyone was incredibly helpful and kind and also funny! We'll definitely miss them! The location was great, views were lovely from the hotel grounds, the pool was really big and and comfortable lounges, pool bar was very handy as well, and the pool service was good. The hotel restaurants were really great - food was amazing and service was incredible, as were the sea views from the Japanese-fusion restaurant. Our room was large and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Housekeeping does an amazing job; daily housekeeping plus the option of clean towels in the evenings was really great. We usually don't get up for hotel breakfasts but Cocumella's buffet breakfast was incredible! We were there almost every day, the selections are fresh and vast, and the staff are really lovely and attentive! The gardens on the grounds were absolutely beautiful and incredibly well kept! Very peaceful and accessible. Free shuttle to/from town was very handy! Hotel gym is a good size with lovely windows to the garden.

Although the pool was great, in peak times there wasn't enough sun lounges for all guests and unfortunately the pool closes at 7pm each day which was a little upsetting for us as it's still sunny/hot at that time and we would have loved to swim. This is not the hotels fault but beware there are kids there, it is not adults only.

Breakfast was amazing. Hotel grounds were gorgeous. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Giuseppe the Chef Concierge was amazing and always available with suggestions . Also such a very very nice man. The hotel itself was very nice as well! Definitely a 5 star hotel all the way!

Spectacularly beautiful “old world “ charm. The concierge, Giuseppe, is the best we have ever encountered. He takes great care of his guests. We loved everything about this hotel.

Wonderful location, serene and beautifully presented. Staff are wonderful and the hotel is set on a large and very well presented plot. Swimming pool area is gorgeous.

The only criticism i would have would be with the garden facing junior suites on 2 levels. They are expensive and dark. If you are over 6' 2 you would have to duck to go into the bathroom area upstairs. There is no balcony and thus feel a little clostrophobic. Having said this the staff were really good at relocating us for 6 of the 7 nights at a cost of course. The larger sea view suites are fantastic.

Beautiful painted ceilings and artifacts are all over the property. They have a lemon grove and gardens all over.

AC did not keep up all the time but July is the hottest month.

Superb hotel where history and modernity meets at the best quality and amazing picturesque view!
