Gorgeous hotel, we was greeted by such friendly staff the minute we walked in we arrived a few hours earlier than our check in time to leave our cases whilst we waited but she was so helpful that our room was actually ready when we arrived so she sorted us to our rooms as soon as we got there, nothing seems to much trouble for them they will help with anything you need, our room was spot on, lovely view from our window, toiletries including shower caps and hair ties, robes and slippers, safety deposit box which actually works, silk hangers for delicate clothing, mini bar fully stocked with wine, cider, larger, spirits and soft drinks as well as sparkling and still waters and a snack counter fully stocked with crisps, trail mix, sweets. Nuts, honey, popcorn and chocolate, the tea and coffee that was provided too the tea was so nice, we ordered room service for our evening meal and the lady who brought the food to our room was so polite and helpful, the food was fresh and hot and tasted incredible, same vibe at checking out friendly kind and warm hospitality. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We had no dislikes about this hotel we would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here and we will definitely be making this our new Manchester hotel choice.

The requested pillows were in the room as we asked. The room was large and the washroom was very well designed with good products.

Was quoted a price on arrival which was paid for at the time, then on checkout was doubled and blamed on poorly trained staff. Eventually agreed to pay part of the extra but as very unhappy that this happened. Firstly to hide behind other staff then throw them under the bus, and secondly not to honour what was paid for. We stay at least once a month in Manchester and this was our first stay after 20 + stays at the Kimpton clock tower. If it wasn’t for the secure parking I think I’d be going back to the Kimpton, but the benefit of having secure parking in Manchester is probably worth a revisit. Albeit under a bit of a grey cloud. Come on guys, you could and should do better.

Upon arrival - friendly warm welcome. Allowed to check in early and we were also upgraded which was a nice surprise. Our room was spacious and clean. The lounge bar was clean and the staff were friendly just a little slow on service. Waited approx 15 mins for our order to be taken and it wasn’t overly busy. The restaurant was lovely, we treated ourselves to the Tomahawk steak & sides - delicious. Restaurant staff incredibly helpful and took my allergy issues seriously and kept us updated on meal timings and topped up with drinks. Perfect. Breakfast was delightful - a range of choices in the morning, again friendly staff, just perhaps a little slow on serving the toast and gluten free bread (we had to ask twice to remind them). But overall lovely trip and a good place to make new memories.

In the bedroom there is a night light fixed to the wall, which glared all night, did have trouble falling to sleep because of this as no option to turn this off. Appreciate why it is there but I do prefer the room to be in darkness whilst I sleep.

Jsuite was wide with v nice coffee corner to sit in , loved the separated table with a mirror for my makeup & stuff. Location , safety, wide corridors, Soundproofing , clean house keeping , The receptionist Iryne was very helpful assist a lot in knowing more about Manchester .

Small bathrooms , not encouraging breakfast , all selection of bread were not tasty ! Most of dishes has egg smelling .

Room was very nice, parking very expensive, location hindered by the roadworks all around. All the staff, doorman, reception, cleaners etc were very nice. Breakfast was disappointing with the cooked items kept heated until they became brittle, e.g. the bacon.

Hot breakfast offerings on the buffet table. All had been there too long so became hard (bacon), dry (black pudding), separated (scrambled egg) so, for the price charges, a little disappointed.

The location isn't central but within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Buses available to catch , also trams. I liked everything about the hotel from our warm welcome by staff on arrival up to when we left the hotel to return home. Beautiful modern hotel, spacious bedroom overlooking the river , everything we needed in the room , tea making facilities, mini bar and more. We had one breakfast during our stay and two evening meals one of which was in the lounge bar and one meal in the restaurant. The food was excellent throughout our stay.

From a personal point of view the pillows were too soft , however staff did manage to sort me out with a firmer pillow which was good of them.

The hotel, staff and general facilities were very good. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and to a high standard.

Breakfast service was not good. It was vry busy and not enough staff to deal with it. We were seated in the bar area, but didnt have the table set up before we sat down and so had no cutlery and had to request this. we were also not given any menus and therefore no options were given other than the buffet. Due to how busy it was, the breakfast buffet was very low on items and so i was unable to have the breakfast that had been paid for as part of our booking.

We’ve stayed here many times over many years when visiting family in the area. Parking is available which is a huge bonus in Manchester City Centre. The rooms are bigger than average and are consistently well kept.

We’ve never had breakfast here as it has not been included in the room rate and very expensive. It would be fabulous if there were a least a coffee stand selling drinks and pastries/muffins in the (huge) lobby - as per American hotels. It would really be a nice touch as the nearest coffee shop/cafe is a walk over the bridge into the main shopping area.

End of journey reception, really nice concierge who was welcoming and parked our Bentley outside the hotel in a safe secure place. Simple and efficient check-in with pleasant staff.

At breakfast I asked for marmalade. Waitress said they had run out. leaving the restaurant I noticed In the bar area also set for breakfast there were multiple jars of marmalade. For 5 star the staff need to be on the ball at all times.

The room was huge and very confortable, there were plenty of amenities and it was very clean and well-presented. The staff were very friendly when checking in and out, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was just a short walk away from the AO Arena, making it a great choice to stay after a concert

The mini-bar auto charging on picking items up didn't seem as well sign posted as it could have been, the prices for which were also hidden at the back of the menu booklet, with a different menu over the top
