It was a wonderful stay. The front desk staff and housekeeping team were very warm and friendly. They did their best to meet the guests’ needs. What impressed me the most was the help they offered during Dunedin Fashion Week — they provided so much support, which allowed me to focus on and complete the competition with peace of mind. It was a heartwarming place with lovely people. Overall, a fantastic experience.😊

Typical Quest apartment - clean, spacious, comfortable bed. Washing machine and dryer were appreciated after a week on the road, with laundry powder provided. Soundproofing was remarkably good given the central location on the main road - we didn't really hear any traffic noise at all. Parking was easy to get in and out and not overly expensive. Welcoming and friendly service at check in. Delightful stay and very reasonably priced.
Would prefer a separate shower rather than a shower over the bath, but we knew the arrangement when we booked. All good.

Bed was so comfortable and lots of space. Had the best sleep! It was also nice and warm! Not too hot in the room or cold, really helpful that when you also open the window it’s fresh air coming in.
It was quite hard to connect to the casting on TV. Whenever we would connect, every 10-20 seconds of something playing it would automatically go back to the Home Screen. It did that for 2-3 hours before it could play longer. It was scary when showering because there was no floor mat.

Central city, close to supermarkets, railway Station and shops Good to have parking on site
We thought the hotel should have advised as a matter of courtesy at the time of booking (certainly before our arrival) of the construction work (pounding of piles for the new Dunedin Hospital) opposite the hotel. The pile driving started around 7.15am through to 4.30/5.00pm. While it didn't disturb us much it could be most disconcerting to anyone of a nervous disposition. Reception hours seemed to finish around 3.45/4.00pm. Several people including ourselves were frustrated that the after hours phone took so long (at least 10-15 mins) to be answered. Eventually another guest let us in to the hotel on our arrival so we could get our access key and car park number.

Very central. I like the flexibility of the offstreet secure parking and the familiarity of knowing what I'm expecting with the room. every time. Staff are always excellent (even when I leave things behind. Quick call and a courier fee later). Price is usually a little higher than I pay in other centres, but for all the reasons above I just pay it.

The towels are not replaced on a Sunday. Although it states that on the bottom of page 9 of the welcome book (not an obvious note), and is apparently stated on the tv screen, there is no notice on the kitchen cupboard door (there are other notes on there) and no note on the bathroom mirror (there is a different note on there), I wasn’t aware. When I questioned Tim at reception, he wasn’t particularly pleasant with his response. Towels were supplied. Other rooms were serviced. Why are all rooms not serviced on a Sunday ?

Walking distance to CBD, supermarkets, shops etc. Right on the main road, easy to find from airport in hire car using GPS. Staff lovely, friendly and helpful :-)
No fan in the bathroom, steamed up quickly and damp. No mirror in the room other than in bathroom so no full-lenth mirror. Shower had gap in bottom seal of door so water/soap suds leaked onto bathroom floor during every shower, not helping the steam and general dampness in bathroom after every use because of lack of fan. Minor points really, overall stay was amazing, definitely recommend - travelled with friends and their bathroom had a fan etc. so just our room.

Well-appointed unit perfect for a longer stay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a simple evening meal. A washing machine and dryer are a godsend when you're on the road for a while. Uncover a convenient and safe.
Road noise from 6:30 AM is persistent and a good alarm clock :)

Central city location and on site parking very convenient. The room overlooked a side alley and therefore was relatively quiet given location on main arterial . The kitchenette was well stocked for minor meal preparation. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size for eating / sleeping . The supermarket us in the next city block
It was all fine

Have stayed at Quest a number of times and its always one of my first picks for accommodation. The place is always clean, tidy, warm and beds comfortable. Great position to town, undercover parking and overall just a brilliant place to stay.
Unfortunately, this time round, we checked in quite late, after the main reception was closed, which was fine. But when we went to use the Bell intercom at the parking entrance, like instructed to gain access to the building, the Bell didn't work. I was just about to panic about how to get in, when thankfully another guest was leaving and I was able to enter the building and gain access to the lockbox with our room keys. I am not sure what I would have done had this not had happened, so I hope they fix the bell soon or sort out an alternative method for guests checking in out of reception hours.
