I absolutely loved the stunning panoramic views over the vineyards and Brokenback Ranges—perfectly enjoyed from the cozy in-room fireplace and private patio. The beautifully styled semi‑self‑contained villas offered charming country comfort in a central Pokolbin location, making it effortless to explore nearby wineries and feel completely at home.

While my stay at H Boutique was overall wonderful, there were a couple of small drawbacks. I found the Wi-Fi connection to be a bit unreliable at times, and it would have been nice to have a few more amenities stocked in the kitchenette. That said, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience.

The sheets and towels were excellent, bed very comfortable. The room was very spacious, plenty of hanging space with an iron and an ironing board, yay! New appliances, kettle and toaster.

We weren't really fussed about the air con being above the bed, it blew right in our faces. The bathrooms were extremely cold, a heater would have been nice. The parking was a distance away and unfortunately it was a wet soggy weekend, and the walk to and from the car was not all undercover. The lounge was quite grubby, I'm glad I didn't have to sleep on it. Not much space to balance to make your tea/coffee or toast.

We have been to the H Boutique a few years ago and stayed in a villa. The first stay was exceptional with a breakfast basket and staff at checkin who welcomed us warmly and were able to recommend tours and restaurants in the area. We booked again recently and stayed in a studio. Did not have the same vibe as the villa. Not complaining but I missed the checkin as you now just enter a pin to access your room. The pin didn't work at first but one of the cleaning ladies helped us out. The villa was cosy, warm and inviting. The studio was a little cold and looked like a room to just sleep in and go. It isn;t anyones fault as it is a matter of choice and you do get what you pay for. Overall the grounds are lovely. We enjoyed our walks in the afternoon and watching the kookaburras. Location was perfect. Short drive to everything. We are coming back in the next few weeks and have booked a villa. We must like you H Boutique. This time we are coming back with two other couples who have also booked villas. They are coming on our recommendation. No pressure H Boutique!

As I said before the studio not as cosy as villa. Pin entry I can see why you do it but I love human checkin. Studio just didn't do it for me. It just felt cold and unwelcoming. That is just me. I don't mind small rooms but there was just something missing. It just looked a little tired. Hunter get away is special for us. A time to unwind for a couple of days in comfort. I didn't want to go back to rest at all. I purely looked at it as a place to sleep and have a shower. That is just my opinion and I guess we were spoilt with the villa.

The reception staff made our stay extra enjoyable by being helpful, patient and accommodating. He made sure we had a good time by going the extra miles to provide information and assistance. We really appreciate his kind help and friendly presence. We enjoyed the property very much as the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The heater was amazing and we were very toasty. We loved the winery nearby and the wine, the kangaroos, the rabbits and the birds were all pleasant! We will surely visit again soon.

Right from check in I felt like a valued guest. Check in was friendly, and offered suggestions for places to eat and visit. The apartment is large and our 1 bedroom villa looked out onto a a lawned area, visited by kangaroos. The property is eco friendly, using filtered rainwater and with electricity generated by solar panels, which was a plus for me. Both water and power were more than adequate. The hotel is a few minutes by road to Hunter Valley Gardens and Roche Estate, and central to other wineries in Pokolbin. The hotel also offers private winery tours and transport to and from local restaurants.

The facility was well serviced, the only addition I would have liked would be face cloths, but that is a small thing.

The location was excellent. The one bedroom Villa was spacious, plenty of room for our toddler to play while we relaxed. The gas fireplace was beautiful and heated the entire villa quite quickly. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed. Staff were great though we only needed them for check in. Would definitely recommend and we’ll stay here again.

My only bugbear was the shower - there was a bit of glass and the rest was open so water for EVERYWHERE. The bath mat was soaked and didn’t even dry properly overnight. I’d have loved a full shower screen.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Love that it was surrounded by open field and nature. Spacious room. Check in was easy and staff was communicative!

No major issues. But the room had mozzies flying everywhere which meant you can hear them buzzing around you when sleeping. Would’ve been great if citronella candle or oil can be placed in the property. Bathroom shower glass had a gap which meant water was splashing through and getting the floor wet. No wifi in room except for common area which was a bit difficult since my service from my phone was quite poor too.

We had a lovely time! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable - my partner loved the extra long bed since his feet weren't hanging off the edge 😂 The fireplace was a great addition and warmed the place up quickly. Will definitely be back

As other reviewers have mentioned, the glass in the shower doesn't do much to keep water from getting all over the floor - if this can't be fixed or adjusted maybe providing extra bathmats/towels in the bathroom to help mop up would be useful

Great, quiet location, and easy to check in as we arrived quite late. There was also a note in our room detailing how the property was off-grid and used rainwater - so I like the commitment to sustainability. The place is also not too far from the main attractions like Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, the Hunter Valley Gardens, and surrounded by lots of nature and picturesque vineyards. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Very hard to find in the dark! But I guess that’s just living off grid.

Straight up the guts hotel. Got a good price for a good room that does exactly all we needed of a 2 night stay. Comfy, clean, managed and great location. Staff are always lovely and helpful. Have stayed here multiple times and never had an issue.

Bathrooms need a bit of work to make it really stand up against some other places that come up in the same price bracket or cheaper sometimes. Have had 3 different rooms all with dodgy shower heads that leave the floor drenched and just bring down the overall feeling when you just want a nice solid shower.
