This hostel has this warm and truly genuine travellers' athmosphere... elusive, yet here to be found. A recently refurbished gem, yet with deeper layers of historic legacy for the curious. You might learn many new languages from near and very far by staying here. Located in that most southern area of Europe... so close, yet so far from the African continent with which the area has been so closely related. Looking closer it clearly still is, in both old and new ways. All staff here and the manager are all truly tip-top, very helpful, experienced, kind and professional out of the ordinary. There is a 24 hours staff policy, a rarity nowadays, but much appreciated. You will feel comfortable, safe and in good company when you want it. You may also find the inspiration for your onward journey that you might or might not have been looking for.

The bathrooms/toilets need some general attention, which also seems to be in the works. Also, although the whole hostel is being cleaned thoroughly every day, toilets/bathrooms should be checked/cleaned more often than is the case, to ensure an agreeable experience at all times. It would also be great with some paper to dry hands after washing.

A friendly place, our private room was spacious and had a small bathroom. The host was kind and offered plenty of helpful tips. This despite our arriving quite late. It is a good location in this lovely village.

Although it did not matter to us, it is quite a walk up the narrow stairs to some of the rooms. Also, the shower door slipped off its tracks but the staff attended to it quickly.

We stayed in a private room on top floor. The room itself was good and spacious, nice view. The best were a bit squicky, which can be annoying when the other person keeps moving at night. The bathroom was ok, although some improvement could be made. Staff super friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent for sightseeing and restaurants. The room was very clean and we were upgraded to a private shower room and loo. We also had a phone call to see if we were still wanting the room as we were well delayed.

The metal beds were quite squeaky but we both slept well.

Really don't understand the bad reviews! This hostel definitely deserves a rating of at least 8! Rooms and bathrooms were clean, even an ensuite bathroom in the female dorm. Great showers! A towel for free and breakfast was included too. Breakfast was so good aswell! Fresh bread which was even still warm, cream cheese, cheese, ham, sweet options aswell and fresh filter coffee and juice.

The kitchen could've been cleaner and wasn't super well equipped. Though there was plenty of space to store your food in the several fridges.

This hostel was much better than it looked on booking.com. It is in a very central location, close to the main square and many other sights, as well as restaurants and shops. My room was lovely, with nice details and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but still it was a very nice plus, considering the low price of the room.

The only downside I could mention is that the street is a bit noisy and the walls are thin so I could hear the neighbours, but I didn't mind that.

Using google to find the location at first is a bit confusing but when we walk after, we find it easy.It can be consider as it is in the almost centerpoint of all tourist spots that we went.

We dont dislike the hostel itself but the lack of accessibility of the town to the next town like us who don't drive.

Situated within the old town walls, this house belongs to the typical Evorian houses of old. It was a unique experience discovering how those beautiful white n‘ yellow houses look inside. The very core of the town os just a short walk away as are the famous roman ruins and good restaurants. Just below the house there is a nice bar and a small cosy square where you can chill before calling it a night. Our room was roomy with two separate beds and a bunk bed. It had a view of the street and over the rooftops of Evora. We really liked it here! The rooms are clean so are the facilities and the stuff is very friendly and accommodating.

The staff was super friendly, informative and down to earth! I really liked the style and aesthetic of the whole hostel. I felt that the energy here made me very relaxed and comfortable. The room that we had was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, I had a very good sleep.. With a nice little breakfast in the morning with juice and coffee. Fantastic location! Really nice part of evora, close to the roman temple and the centre.. But also quiet enough that you can relax. I just loved this place! I will definitely come back when I'm next in Evora!
