We loved the location and the views over the golf course they were incredible. It is the dog friendliest place we've ever stayed at and we loved that. The staff are all excellent and can't do enough to help you. Breakfast is served between 7.30 & 9.30 which was perfect for us as were early risers. The bed was comfortable and the room had a table and chairs. It's close to St Andrews and half an hour from Kingsbarns beach which is dog friendly. A great location to explore Fife.
The room we stayed in was a little dated but it served us fine as we slept and were out all day.

The hotel is part of an excellent golf course to which, many years ago, I was a member. I have never stayed at the hotel previously and I no longer play golf. However, it's a great place to stay - about equidistant from Dundee and St Andrews. The room was very clean and comfortable. It would have benefitted from air conditioning as it was exceptionally warm weather when we stayed. That aside, I couldn't fault the room. The breakfasts we had were really nice (full Scottish) and the evening meal we had was very good and decent value.
Air conditioning, perhaps? Nothing other than that.

I was in a room on the second floor at an adjacent building from the main building of this hotel complex. There were 4 rooms on the 2nd floor accessible by stairs. The bed was comfortable and there was a separate bathroom in the room with a bathtub. There was a plexiglass protecting the one side of the bathtub to prevent water from splashing out. The hot water was plentiful, and the water pressure was very good. The breakfast was typical Scottish style breakfast and was excellent. It was freshly cooked on the spot and the coffee was made on order (machine made and tasty!) The complex is right next to the Drumoig golf course and there was a deal for a "stay and play" which was very attractive in terms of pricing.
Guests (golfers) from a big group that had come with a bus during the same days of my stay occupied rooms around me on the floor and came back in their room at 2 AM in the morning hours. They were very loud, talking and laughing. The walls of the rooms were like from paper and everything could be heard from room to room. It was an unfortunate coincidence, but I didn't get any quality sleep that night.

Drumoig Golf Hotel, was exactly what I was looking for as a 1 night stay as a tour guide. The room was perfect, apart form a very small single bed in a twin room. The room had a desk, with 2 arm chairs and very clean. The food was excellent and the service amazing as they were 1 staff member down, credit to those on duty- well done.
When I had my evening meal I was told that the golf resort did not have Sky Sports when the US Open was being held, this was disappointing. The place lacked a bit of atmosphere despite being fairly busy.

The food was delicious, staff were all very friendly and attentive. Location was very pretty, quiet and lovely view across the golf course. Staff were great with our dog, providing water for him and always petting and talking to him. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning in future.
More attention could be paid to specific requests from guests for breakfast (i.e. hubby and I both requested a poached egg but were given fried) This was the only negative thing we could think of and it was a small hiccup in a very good stay.

Fantastic views! So relaxing being here. Nice big room. My room had a tub, so I soaked one night. Dining room where I had breakfast had the same wonderful view. I was on the bottom floor so I was very pleased. If you want a purple shirt with the hotel name and logo, ask for it. They only showed the black on display.
Bed was a little too firm for me, so I moved the fluffy blankets from the closet to be under the sheet so it was then much better.

The property is 3 star and it reflects that in terms of there are few bells or whistles. However it is clean, comfortable, very welcoming with great staff, peaceful and we had no complaints at all. Having a balcony in the room was a bonus as it gave a great view and allowed more air to circulate. The breakfast was also very good. It is quite isolated being a couple of miles to nearest shop but the golf course was in great condition and a nice, reasonably priced test.
The dinner menu was limited and somewhat dated (starters of prawn cocktail, garlic mushrooms, pate, soup for example) but the food was fine.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely location looking across the golf course. Beautiful view from the room. Good shower. Great overnight stop on the way north. Food selection was standard but it was well prepared and tasty and good value. We had a problem with the first room we were allocated but were quickly changed to another room with no fuss.
Rooms are a bit tired and could do with a general overhaul.

A good hotel with a golf course 20-30 min outside of St Andrew’s. The golf course itself was beautiful and the hotel even though it is older - it had enough comforts for us to enjoy our 2 night stay. Staff was VERY pleasant and helpful. The price was right on! Good value for your money. Easy drive to St Andrew’s.
The food in the restaurant was just ok. Eat in St Andrew’s before going to the hotel. I wish we had a small fridge in the rooms.

the scenery at the golf course is absolutely beautiful.Hotel caters for dogs, therefore this is a lovely golf course for my husband to play, while me and the dogs join him on the golf buggy. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and suit our needs. The hotel also has a restaurant for lovely fresh cooked breakfast and evening meals. Would be nice to also have Lasagna on the menu.
