The room was a decent size, with good facilities (plenty of wardrobe space, iron, hair dryer, nice toiletries). All but one of the staff were very welcoming and professional. The village is very pretty, with great views of the bridges from the outdoor terrace and some of the rooms. Breakfast was very good.
We had a poor view which was disappointing. One of the staff - a young woman with dyed dark red hair - had a very hostile attitude, for example she rolled her eyes and huffed when we asked to change our taxi time by 30 minutes and she kept emphasising it could be completely impossible in a melodramatic way although I said it would be fine if it wasn't possible to make the change, and when we said we'd be a few minutes late checking out she very aggressively said we'd be charged extra if we took more than 15 minutes but didn't offer help bringing our luggage down (despite there being two flights of stairs and no lift). This left a poor impression especially as the other staff had been so obliging and friendly.

The setting is spectacular especially if the weathers good like it was when we were there. Staff were all very friendly. Room was spacious and liked the little mini bar/fridge unit built into the wardrobe. Breakfast was delicious every day but this wasn’t included. Shower was particularly good in our room. The hotel is a good base point to explore round south queensferry.
Bathroom in our room was a bit of a squeeze but noticed in our friends it was much larger. Parking is at a real premium in the surrounding area so can take a while to find free parking, this isn’t the hotels fault though just something to bear in mind

The welcome at reception was very warm. We arrived early and, we had left luggage at reception and had lunch in the hotel. Lunch was delicious, we sat on the terrace, the weather was beautiful. After lunch we went to check-in and they had taken our luggage to our room m
The room was very warm as we went during a heatwave. The windows were fitted with safety locks. They only opened a fraction. We reported a problem with the shower door. A maintenance man came promptly and sorted it.

Travelling with my eldest laddie to attend a few events at the annual Scottish Geology Trust Festival, we'd lost hope of finding somewhere to stay near Edinburgh that wouldn't break the bank. And then we found this place!! After being horribly let down by another local hotel the previous night, Orocco Pier felt like a gift from the Gods. Staff: Genuinely warm and welcoming. Lassie on reception even offered to help with luggage. A very nice touch however our long journey had us super thirsty, hungry, and keen to immediately head for... The Bar: The perfect pint!! Crystal clear, icy cold. Seriously, their pipes must be sparkling. We just caught last orders but arrived too late to try the restaurant. No big deal grabbing a takeaway pizza in... Our Rooms: Economy price paid, but not an economy experience. Contemporary artworks everywhere, fabulous massage shower, mini bar with countless options, and a bed that made me feel like I was wrapped in a big fuzzy hug. I live with chronic pain disabilities so I'm a wee bit fussy about mattresses but I wasn't getting to sleep yet due to... Location: Oh..My...Goodness!!! Wow! Should've been purring by this point but how could we with that view of the Forth Rail Bridge so beautifully illuminated?! A midnight stroll to the back of the hotel to take pics of this marvellous feat of engineering became a 2 hour beachcomb for sea glass and tumbled Victorian pottery accompanied by the sound of gentle waves on the shore. Simply wonderful, and all just metres from their doorstep! We will definitely be back! Big 10 star plus from us!

Beautiful view, boutique room, nice location right above beach in quaint village, very good food in restaurant, cleaning staff friendly and competent.
Certain servers unpleasant and rude mostly in the morning. Would not answer questions about the coffee variety and parts of the menu. Desk staff varied between helpful and pleasant while another didn’t have the time to answer inquiries. We are friendly Canadians and are not used to the responses that we received.

Really great location with amazing views. Staff so friendly and helpful. Restaurants were buzzing all the time.Felt very safe and secure. If you can afford get a room with a view of the bridges as the view is amazing. Room was modern and v clean and shower was v powerful. Breakfast was amazing... don't miss it!
I booked a classic double but looking at their website I feel I got put in a petite double. Bed was v small. Was just about ok for one but would not have been OK for a couple. Limited vegetarian options for a main meal for dinner in both restaurants.

The location was grand! From low tide to high tide it was a short stay but it was ideally placed and BEST CHOICE near the airport. Great high street shops, Bakeries, pubs with a little bit of history sewn in everywhere. Bright early May afternoon, blustery skies and sparkling waters, the wharf and harbour views were dazzling from every angle and the two restaurants at the hotel were fantastic. Had the freshest seafood, One of the Best Meals I enjoyed in all of Scotland! The Samphire Restaurant provided a wonderful window seat amid their busy dining room where I enjoyed tremendously the delicious small plates and freshest oysters, clams, langoustine, squid, prawns, scallops. Buttery herbs bursting from every shell. Oooohh, the lemon and herb smoked Mackerel paté on charcoal artisan biscuits (crispy crackers) with pea shoot and rocket salad was incredible! With just a few notes and back and forth through Booking.com the staff communicated amongst themselves in order to be prepared for my pre-dawn departure. Someone was waiting for me when I came down and assisted me in every way from the moment I arrived to the moment I Departed. The room was immaculate! The shower head was ideal, the towels were soft and large and the full bottles of Sea Kelp amenities made in Scotland were lovely.

The location is excellent and we had some food and drinks, which were very good. The staff were very friendly and everything was comfortable and clean. The hotel and public areas are decorated to a high standard.
I booked two rooms, one for myself and my husband and the second for two friends. I got a Genius discount on both rooms and a one room upgrade but our friends arrived first and were given the upgraded room. The room we had was very nice but seeing what we could have had made ours a disappointment. We had a Classic double room, which was pretty small and had a shower but no bath.

Lovely hotel in picturesque area of town with view of bridges from room and restaurant. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed and good strong shower. Handy for airport. Will definitely stay here again when flying out of Edinburgh
Just need to get some new, softer/more forgiving (and larger) pillows for the bed - the ones provided were ugly, hard and resulted in a painful neck in the morning.

Fantastic location, excellent food and room was clean and had good facilities.
Admittedly booked a cheaper room that had no view. It was big enough for me but think it would have been over tight for two. The bathroom was nice but lacked proper ventilation. Overall if staying in the future as a couple I’d want a bigger room and that might compromise the value for money.
