I can not recommend this place enough. The owners, Yumi and Mike were the loveliest, warmest, most helpful hosts who welcomed us into their home, showed us around, told us about some of the history and culture and gave fantastic local recommendations. The house is over 100 years old and in beautiful condition, nice and comfortable and able to accommodate 6 full grown men. amazing location with quick walk to markets, castle and other key Kanazawa locations. I will 100% look to rent this accom again the next time I am in Kanazawa!

Very good Location for sightseeing. Great for a group of 4 who wanted privacy of two bedrooms. The host Yumi was very helpful and in fact helped us with a lunch reservation at a short notice. Thanks to her we had a memorable lunch experience. She even helped us with our Taxi bookings

An English Translation for all appliances / facilities would have helped. The property was visited in our absence. The Dryer was not very efficient and we would suggest bearing that in mind if on a short visit.

Beautiful traditional 110 year old Japanese family home. A very comfortable base close to all the attractions of Kanazawa. The host was very helpful with local information and restaurant recommendations and even assisted me in getting my hat back from JR railway lost property.

The stairs to the upstairs rooms are steep - not a problem for our group as 2 young couples were staying upstairs.

Yumi was really lovely in helping us discover Kanazawa, and the location and property were just fantastic. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location to explore Kanazawa. Very traditional house with lots of personal touches. A very real Japanese experience. A nice sized house with quite a bit of room.

House was very cold on arrival and in order to keep warm all the window shares / blinds were kept closed which made the house feel very dark. Do not expect a western experience (which is fair given this is Japan) but can be surprising nonetheless - this is a very traditional house which is both the charm of staying here but can also make it slightly uncomfortable if you are used to a more western experience.
