We loved everything about this 3-night stay! Staff was amazing, breakfast was incredible, room was a nice size with AC, lift to 2nd floor so only 1 short walk to 3rd floor. Terrace for breakfast and late night wine. Location is very close to the main sights and plenty of choices for wine and food. We had an early flight so staff secured our taxi and even left us a to-go bag for breakfast. We had 4 B&B stays on our trip and while all were very good Isola d’Arno was the best! The wine window across the street didn’t hurt either.

Loved everything about our stay. Will stay here again without hesitation.

Isola d’Arno B&B was excellent all around. It is located close to Uffizi Galleries and Piazza San Croce and the river. Easy walking distance to everything, really. We took a taxi from the train- it was super easy. The staff was excellent- helpful and friendly. The space was comfortable. The AC worked very well and we were there during 95 degree days! The breakfast was delicious. The room was quiet, which is impressive because we arrived during a local festival that had a parade with drums during the day and the fireworks at night. We’d definitely recommend this place and stay there again.

Breakfast on the sunny terrace each morning was a wonderful way to start the day. Our room was very clean and quiet. There were a few hiccups during our trip to Florence and the staff was always kind and helpful. For instance, we had difficulty booking a taxi ( there was a major event that weekend and no one was picking up the phone ). They scheduled a cab for us and made sure we got a ride in time.

The crowd in the alleyway can get a little loud late at night when the bars close. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for a central city district, but if you are particularly noise sensitive like me you may want to bring ear plugs. Also a small thing, but we had reserved a king bed for our stay which turned out to just be two beds pushed together.

Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, offering you a good coffee or cappuccino when they were at the property (even after checkout!). There was also Nescafe and tea available at all times, along with some cookies and chocolate, which was a nice touch. There’s also a fresh water fountain and bottles you can fill and bring to your room. The bed is very comfortable, nice and clean bathroom, location is excellent (very close to a lot of attractions and great restaurants; there’s a bus stop right around the corner as well)

The location of this B&B is incredible, it’s clean, it’s comfortable, there’s coffee and water and tea all day. The terrace is super quiet and nice for a little evening wine or breakfast in the morning. There’s an elevator but you have to walk up stairs so keep that in mind when booking. The true highlight of the property are the hosts though. So kind, caring, always ready to help or make a coffee or give you a recommendation for Florence. We would book this again.

If you’re a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs. The building is very old so you can hear your neighbors in the other room very loudly.

This was our first visit to Florence. Fortunately, we were guided to choose Isola d’Arno based on its excellent reviews. The location is centrally located and in reasonable walking distance from most of the major sites we hoped to visit, and is a 2 or 3 minute walk from the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce. When we arrived, we were greeted by Benedetta who immediately jumped in to help with transporting our luggage upstairs. It wasn’t as clear to us when booking, but the set-up is that you first enter using your key (or by being buzzed in) through a large front door on the street. You then take an elevator up 3 floors. But there is still one more floor at the top of a flight of stairs, which takes you to the entrance to Isola d’Arno where you check in and find your room down a hallway. Each morning, in the entryway they provided a breakfast (wide range of cheese, meats, breads, cereals, etc.) starting at 8am. If needed (as was the case for us), you can ask for breakfast to be ready a bit earlier. Lorenzo helped us with breakfasts, a few questions, and sorting out a taxi the morning of our departure. If we get a chance to return to Florence, we wouldn’t hesitate to make Isola d’Arno our first choice.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The free water and good breakfast options were great. I really love their cappuccino! They provide free WiFi and recommendations for where to eat and what to visit. I would have disliked a little our stay if not for the lovely people that work here. If you want to stay in the hip area of Florence, definitely choose this location.

They didn’t want to turn on the AC for us even though it was 80+ degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived (we stayed late April). We couldn’t open the windows because it didn’t have screens (mosquitos love me) and it would automatically turn off the fan. Frustrating to pay so much for the stay but not be able to turn on the air conditioner. It would be understandable if it’s during late fall or winter but nope it was the dead of spring and among the 4 different apartments and hotels we stayed at, it was only them who did this! It was also very dark downstairs at night time when you go up to the unit. For some reason, they don’t keep the hallway and stairs lights on. A bit absurd to be honest and wouldn’t be great if there’s an emergency and you need to run out!

Great location; very friendly and helpful staff. We loved the breakfast (a buffet with healthy options - not only a croissant) . Room was very clean and tidy. Very nice and large bathroom. The bes was soft with comfortable pillows. The B&B is at the third floor in a large building, and there is elevator until second floor. They help you with anyhting :) Definitely a great place to stay!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The breakfasts were excellent - better than any other place we’ve been, the room was lovely, clean and comfy, the neighborhood was beautiful, and we absolutely loved the people looking after us. Beatrice and Lorenzo were unbelievably lovely.. gave wonderful ideas, places to go, directions, etc and so very kind. On the last day our train was cancelled and they let us come back and store our luggage for an extra day, use the washroom, etc. They are absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed every single moment 😊

There was nothing we didn’t love!

This is a gem, right in the heart of the city but tucked away in a quiet street it’s the perfect hideaway with easy access to Santa Croce square and Uffizi, the property is well renovated, with a private terrace which looks over the roofs of Florence, there’s also a wine window just across the street. It’s not just the location it’s the peaceful ambiance that we loved, in addition the hosts were affable, helping to arrange Taxis and making us cappuccino, bags can be left in the residence if you need to do so, and nothing was too much trouble.
