Where to start! Francesca was so very kind and helpful from the very first moment we booked, and was so sweet, she even upgraded us! She even gave us her list of favourite local places to eat at - and we did have the BEST Bisteca Fiorentina of our lives thanks to her recommendation, at Osteria da Ganino! The apartment was absolutely beautiful and it made us feel like we lived in Italy as locals - our view overlooked a small courtyard with lemons growing abundantly, the smells of which wafted up! And the location was the most perfect ever - Michaelangelo's 'The David' was literally across the doorway! We even managed to get in at 6pm without any lines to see perhaps the world's most iconic sculpture! Other must-see attractions were a 20 minute walk away at most, which made it so easy! The apartment was beautiful, tastefully furnished and well stocked - we could not ask for any more! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Florence experience! Grazie Mille Francesca!

It's located in the center of Florence, probably one of the best locations. The room had a classic feel, with a view of the Duomo and the partial town, making you feel like you were living in the 16th century. The facilities are new and clean.

Since this is a private host, there isn't a 24-hour front desk. You’ll need to arrive at a relatively punctual time to meet the host and get access to the building, as there’s a code. We didn’t plan for this much details in advance and took our time enjoying the previous sights. I didn’t notice all the messages until arrival, which led to a 20-minute wait. One suggestion is that, since guests have already paid prior to arrival, the host could send the code via message, eliminating the need to meet in person.

Great location. Friendly and professional host - very lovely. Lovely room and size of room. Excellent room cleaning service. We would have awarded 10 out of 10, but could not do so, as the bed was very uncomfortable especially for our stay of 3 nights.

Unfortunately, the double bed dipped severly in the middle. It meant for us as a couple, we were on a slope downwards to the centre of the bed. To fix this, one person had the middle of the bed, and the other had to sleep on the extreme edge of the bed, which was very uncomfortable and that person only averaged 3-4 hours of disrupted sleep. It was Appartment 3C so if you book, ask if they have replaced the mattress recently, otherwise choose another room. If it was not for the uncomfortable bed, we would have provided 10 and no other issues at all. Hopefully the host will replace the mattress soon for the next guests.

WHAT DID WE LIKE? WELL APPOINTED, LOCATION, HOST. We traveled to Florence from Venice and met family there. It is a brisk walk from the train station to the apartments. Inside the two apartments, the furnishing were lovely with 18 foot ceilings and beautiful old 10 foot windows. It was exceptionally comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children; the airconditioning was very welcomed after a day of sightseeing in 35-40 degree Celsius. The efficiency kitchens handled breakfast in and the left overs from dinner. There is a lift which made it even easier to maneuver our crew in and out. We traveled with a 1 year old and a 3 year old. As per our request, Francesca had both apartments set up with pack and play type beds and a high chair - PERFECTO! We needed a stroller for the 3 year old; Francesca arranged it. The apartment is directly across from the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze - home to the David - and 3 blocks from the Duomo de Santa Maria del Fiore. When traveling again to Florence, I will book this apartment and plan for a longer stay.

Nothing - small inconvenience with the temp air conditioning in the adjacent apartment but very minor.

The location is absolutely perfect—just steps away from the Accademia Gallery, practically zero distance! The room is well-designed with functional zones and plenty of space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. Francesca and Valeria were incredibly welcoming—they communicated with us in advance, waited for our arrival, and provided helpful tips, also great restaurants and bakeries. They also help us with the car parking especially in this ZTL area which is of great help! They truly cared about our experience and even reminded us about arranging room cleaning. The heating worked well, and the hot water was reliable. Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommend! A bonus: there’s an adorable chubby cat in the building!

There was some occasional noise from downstairs one night, but it was manageable and went quiet after 11pm.

Location superb, in the centre of everything, styling and luxury furnishing exceptional, an authentically Florentine high ceiling and large apartment. The comfort of an accomplished and friendly cleaner every day, spotless kitchen and bathroom with full luxury facilities, elevator, welcome package and gorgeous bathroom products replenished every day. This is a place way above the 10/10 mark, an absolute gem. Our host Francesca was AMAZING! Living on site meant she was available in a flash with a warm smile and generous nature. I suffered a serious injury while on a tour and she found a doctor, recommended accessible sightseeing options, sent us the right taxi app and made herself constantly available to answer questions snd provide helpful solutions, like a shower stool, so we could continue to enjoy our stay as much as possible. Guide books and maps, including ancient framed artworks added to the experience. We will never be able to thank you enough Francesca and will be back to see you as soon as possible.

We loved every single thing!

Great location ! Right in the heart of Florence and minutes away from all the major squares and attractions and plenty of F&B options within easy reach. The host was super kind to upgrade us to a bigger room and helped us with some recommendations as well! The space was well appointed with all the basic amenities provided. The bathroom was spacious with toiletries in place and the bed room as well as the hall had large windows allowing the sunlight to brighten up your day and let the fresh air come in.

Not a deal breaker for sure but the lifts are slower than walking up or down even with short breaks !

It is located in front of the Academy Museum. The apartment is specious, nicely decorated with a full stocked kitchen (not a kitchenette). It was very quiet as it was looking to the inner court, very clean and well organized. Communicating with Francesca was a pleasure, it is apparent that the satisfaction of the guests is very important to her. There is a minimarket a few meters away, the Duomo is located 5 minutes away, and the train station is about 13 minutes walk.

Beautiful, clean and well maintained apartment steps away from main attractions in Florence. The host met us upon arrival and she explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. The two bedroom apartment was very spacious for our group. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom/shower was good size as well. Although it's within easy reach to all the main sites in Florence, be prepared for the large crowds and line of people waiting to enter the Academia Galleria outside the front door to the apartment. Other than that, cannot fault the apartment. Would highly recommend the Palazzo Alfani apartment for a stay in Florence especially if distance to the attractions is important. We stayed here in April 2024.

The area around the apartment was too busy for our liking but the condition of the apartment and walking distance to attractions certainly made up for it.

Palazzo Alfani is amazing . It is so conveniently located across from the academia . The rooms are extremely well appointed , tastefully decorated, clean with full kitchen , spacious and comfortable. Francesca is so welcoming and makes you feel like a special guest . Although centrally located , it is quiet and a haven to return to after your day of sightseeing. There is also a lift on the property. Rooms are cleaned everyday.

For long stay guests , the only thing not available is a washing machine .
