This is a simple and great place to stay. The hotel is very close to everything including the train station or the tram station which is very useful for airport connections. Then it's walking distance from any landmarks, shops, restaurants. My room was quiet, warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable too. Nice to have a good selection of tea, coffee, biscuits at the reception. The hosts are lovely too. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return here again.

Living near Nice (France) for years, I have of course been to Italy several times and here Bencidormi managed to be a positive surprise! Roberto (owner/manager) greeted me at the front door (street level), assisted with my luggage and was helpful, friendly, flexible and service minded all the way. The breakfast treat was just that little extra! The hotel was very clean, quiet and clearly well-organised -and with a ten minute walk to the Duomo, the Via Faenza location is great... Oh, just another thing, if you like me are into opera, just talk to Roberto for that local Florentine input...! My date and I had a fantastic evening with Madam Butterfly, the performance and the acoustics at the Maggio opera house were impressive. Thank you for a great stay in Florence!

I would highly recommend Hotel Bencidormi for your stay in Florence! Roberto went out of his way upon my arrival, carrying my case for me and trying to help me find my laptop that I lost on my journey here! The room was very clean and all facilities excellent, with a fridge, microwave and coffee pods/machine to enjoy with some biscuits supplied. Air conditioning was also much appreciated in the Italian heat! The location is excellent, a short walk to all attractions, around the corner from a big supermarket and only a 2 minute walk to the train station. It was very quiet and peaceful, once you close the front door all the hustle and bustle from outside. A perfect relaxing stay in the heart of Florence!

The location is absolutely fantastic! Close enough to the shops, restaurants, etc but on a relatively quite street just outside the main town center. Easy access from the train station - just a short 5 minute walk. Checking in was so easy and Paola and Roberto were so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Shower was bigger than others we experienced during our stay in Italy. Room in comparable in size to many hotels in Italy.

The only challenge was the hot water. A sign in the bathroom gives you a heads up that hot water is very limited and once you run out it takes approximately 30 minutes to get more. That can be tricky when you have 3 people in need of showers after a long day of sightseeing.

Do take note this is more like B&B setting. There is no round the clock reception presence as in traditional hotel setup. But it doesn't affect us.

Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts. We felt very welcomed. We received all the information we needed, and also had a chance to chat a bit with the owner - what a nice person he is! The room was nice, clean and tidy, same as the bathroom. All the appliances were there - hair dryer, toiletries, kettle, tea, coffee etc. Very good location - waking distance to the train station, key attractions, restaurants, bars etc.

The room was big enough for us and we stayed for one night only and had only small backpacks with us, but I think it may be not spacious enough if you travel with a lot of luggage.

The location is the best. The reception was exceptional, they helped us to get our luggage upstairs as we arrived. Also we needed to exchange our luggage as we were staying there and the hosts kindly disposed the one we did not need anymore. Generally very helpful staff - allowed us to hang out at the lobby after check out, let us weigh our luggage and leave it safely while we explored the city. Coffee, tea, water available free of charge. Many good things

Not too much space where to unpack; the in-room fridge is not cooling efficiently.

Very friendly owner, centrally located yet very quiet as room was facing into a courtyard. High ceilings. simple yet comfortable accomodation.

Perfect location and very comfortable to sleep. But besides the bed, limited space and furniture to enable staying longer periods indoors to read or do a little bit of work. I was there for a conference and spent most of the time outside (weather was very nice. neither rain nor too excessive heat) so this was not really an issue in my case.

There were some very nice touches. The room has towel warmers, disposable slippers so your feet are not directly on a cold floor, soap dispensers by the sink and in the shower there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. There were also plenty of outlets for charging electronics which I appreciate because I’ve stayed in so many places where there are just a few outlets and stuff has to be unplugged to plug something else in. Roberto met me at the door and carried my luggage up the stairs which was completely unexpected and appreciated (it is one floor up from ground level). He is and wife are personable and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. It’s about a 5 minute walk from Duomo. There is an espresso machine (capsule type) down the hall and he will show you how to work it.

The place in settled on the strategic position: close to central train station, Santa Matia Novella, Duomo, San Lorenzo. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is clean. The bed is very comfy, big and has a good mattress.

We stayed in the room 7. The isolation inside of the building is not very good. I heared waterfall next to my head when somebody upstairs took shower. At the same time it was very quiet from outside. So, the place is very good to stay, but bring your hear plaques if you have light sleep.
