Lovely family room in a great location, close to the West Cliff zig-zag path and beach. New owners are kind, helpful and genuinely care – they replaced a TV remote and gave us extra towels without fuss. Spacious lounge area with board games, and a shared kitchen with oven and microwave – very useful for families. Allowed us to check out an hour later, store our luggage, and relax in the lounge after returning from the pier. Peaceful stay, comfy beds, homely atmosphere, and very friendly guests. Excellent value for a simple, honest place to stay.

One of the best things about this hotel was the amazing shared spaces. The common areas were very large, clean, and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax or meet other travelers. I especially appreciated the fully equipped shared kitchen, where we could easily cook our own meals — a real bonus for longer stays. Room was also very clean and cozy. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach and the city center. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Despite some recent negative reviews, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it, especially if you value great communal spaces.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very polite and friendly man who upgraded our booking for the night. The room that he upgraded us to was exceptional, very comfy and spacious

It's not that I didn't like the room or anything about the experience but there are some items that i want to mention, the bathroom door handle was loose, there was some damage on the wall and some of the drawers were hanging but as the room was upgraded from our previous booking we weren't concerned about these items mentioned.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel, despite some of the recent negative reviews. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was excellent — very close to both the city center and the beach. Room was very clean, and the shared areas were spacious and well-maintained. I also appreciated the shared kitchen facilities, where we could cook and enjoy our own meals. Overall, it was a very positive stay and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for an affordable and comfortable place

Ted, the manager was friendly, supportive and really helpful 👏. He was constantly ready to attend to our needs during the stay. He made sure we had bays to park our car, he ensured we were comfortable and that our ensuite rooms were as clean as we had hoped for. I would stay there again!

We came to Bournmouth- Ullswater for a budget holidays after looong time of having none. The one and probably best thing about this hotel is that the managers/staff/reception were absolutely amazing. Very helpful in every matter. Little things like getting a bottle opener, extra sheets or even looking after our bags after check out so we were able to go for last beach walk before catching train. I know its a hotel and some might say it should be normal,but they were so so helpful and everything was helped with in that moment. The beds were comfy, for my hubby too soft but I can't complain. Room was quite big, spacious and according to a fire escape plan ,so were others on the floor. We had two heaters in the room, which was amazing. Only used one to dry after storm we were caught in but still. Also spare pillows in the wardrobe was a nice surprise. Hotel is very close to the town centre, which is really helpful especially as we travelled with 3 year old who does not like walking :-)

Our bin in the room (and bathroom-which didn't matter as much)was tiny,I guess that's standard but honestly if one stays for a few days it filles up fast, like the same afternoon.

Very welcoming hotel in a great location just minutes from the beach. Room was spotless bad bed very comfy. All staff were friendly which is one of the reasons I extended my stay. Will return 100%

Very strong smell of cannabis on our floor, and woke up to a family having a very loud argument. Very dated

The staff on the ground was great. He was also very responsive and his a complete gentleman. It's a shame l can't recall his name, but he worked on Nov. 6th and 7th evening. He is a true professional.

The location is great! Nearby are a park and a beautiful beach. The room is clean. The beds are comfortable. A big bathroom. Everything is perfect! Thanks to the hotel personnel.
