I loved the walk to the beach area. The bed was super comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch! We were in the upstairs room so the bathroom was small, but we had a large sitting area in the front of the room with windows looking over the ocean. Breakfast was not included, but it was easy to order and a super cute restaurant.

The bathroom was okay, but small. The rug under the bed seemed a little dirty and the heater was old. But the heater worked very well!

The location is awesome. The beds and bedding are very high quality and comfortable. Access to the ocean is better than any other choice on Moonstone Beach. The size and location of the property are excellent. There is plenty of seating, games for the kids, a hiking trail to the beach, and a park across the street.

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. Front office person very welcoming and friendly. Room was beautiful and the grounds were superb. If you want to experience the pure beauty of Cambria without crowds this is the place to stay. Close enough if you want to be in the more crowded area but far enough away from this hustle and bustle to really experience a quiet beach area and rest. Has a pool and outside seating where you can sit out at night around multiple fire pits. The grounds are so lovely to walk and the rooms are inviting with very nice decor. If you are heading to Cambria, I would highly recommend this hotel for a truly enjoyable stay.

Can't think of one thing that I could possibly complain about.

The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home, and provided us with some great recommendations on where to eat. Cambria is a gorgeous quaint little town situated down the road, but a little too far to be walkable so best to have a car. The fire pits and fairy lights are magical at night, and the property is situated across the road from the beach and reserve. Moonstone beach is beautiful, and filled with natural gems - definitely worth a visit and accessible from the ranch. There are small fridges in each room and a shared ice machine, but also a bigger shared kitchen with a microwave if you want to eat in. Big comfortable beds for a good nights rest before completing our road trip from SF to LA. There is also a pool but we didn't get a chance to use it. Great value, natural setting and just what we needed for a peaceful stopover and great scenery. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The location and amenities were fantastic, we walked across the street or under the bridge to the beach paths every day. The firepits were great and the staff gave us roasting sticks to use and sold s'mores kits. The fireplace in our room as perfect for the drizzly weather and they also provided plenty of firewood. We spent a little time in the game room but it was fun playing shuffleboard. The clawfoot tub was amazing and pretty much why I booked the stay, but the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very dog friendly, our pup had a great stay and loved all the green grass. It seemed very sound proof too, we couldn't hear any of our neighbors if we had any.

The only setback was the lack of hand soap, and there wasn't any at the front desk either. Not specific to this place but just wish hotels had some streaming options to the tv's since it was only cable. But the wifi was fast so we just streamed to the laptop when we wanted to watch something.

The location is amazing since it is right across the street from the state park and easy to access the boardwalk along the water. Also, there are green spaces and hangout areas throughout the resort. I liked that there were lots of places to be outside. Also, we had a room with a fireplace and it came equipped with a fire bag that was so simple and easy to use—that was convenient and a lovely touch). The heater in the bathroom was nice, too, since it was pretty chilly at night.

The rooms were smallish and plainly furnished but they had everything we needed. The bathrooms were smaller, too, and we didn’t love the upcharges for late checkouts and other amenities.

It was beautiful, I stayed here for a wedding. The bonfire pits are amazing. Nice beach access from the hotel.

Only complaint is.. I do not stay alone when I travel. This time I did. Thank God at the end of the wedding that was on site, my room was next to all of the brides family. I had a guy in a black hoodie standing outside of my room. I literally felt so uncomfortable, there are no cameras. The time of me closing my door and locking up my room, he slipped a note under my door. His phone number. I was so uncomfortable. Couldn’t sleep after that.

The property is huge and lovely. The ocean is right across the street (steps away). They offer a pool, game room, and firepits and it was nice to see them being used. The breakfast was very good, not offered free but very reasonable. Lots of choices and is offered in room or in their dining area

The only complaint was that our room was upstairs which I didn’t know or didn’t ask. We are in our 70’s capable enough but hard lugging all the bags . The chairs in the room are not very comfortable . The bed however was VERY comfortable.

We found this place quiet and restful, close to the boardwalk. It provided everything we needed except for a microwave. Parking was right outside our unit. We saw a wounded deer on Hwy 1 near the hotel and the receptionist assisted us in finding an agency to report this. We're not sure whether or not they were able to locate and treat the injured animal.

The water pressure in the shower was inadequate. The heater was dated and a little difficult to control room temperature. The closest ice machine was broken, but another one was available.

Site was having employee issues. A manager quit so cafe was understaffed terribly. Employee handling cafe was doing a very admirable job trying to be a good service person, cashier, table bussing , etciSite clean and maintained. Lots for kids to do on site. Location to beach was a 10. X the street.

I heard a customer having a problem w/ booking because booking site had misrepresented what could/ could not be booked. The room housekeeping rules were not apparent and my daughter was hoping for Dailey service, but was told you had to make them aware 48 hours ahead.
