The location was great and the staff were lovely! We arrived a bit earlier than expected and were able to check-in a couple of hours early. We were right next to a concert venue which was rather loud, but things wrapped up around 1030 so it wasn't an issue. There was a nice terrace and bar so we were able to enjoy the sounds of the concert from the hotel. We were close to train stations, museums, walking distance to good restaurants, etc. The cost was a little bit higher than usual with Oasis in town and multiple other events scheduled, but we'd stay here again!

The amenities were pretty bare bones (no shampoo or conditioner, no mini-fridge, no A/C). The breakfast was a bit bland as well and it would be nice to have some fresh fruit that didn't look so sad. Security seems a bit lax compared to other European hotels, so we never left any valuables in the room. One guest was telling me that a random woman entered her room around 1 am despite not being with their party!

Stayed 2 nights for a stag do, staff were so accommodating and helpful even though we were walking around out of our minds half the time, I can only imagine it was like watching a circus of clowns floating around for 2 days. Don't really stay in hotels that much so not sure what my expectations were, but if the next place I stay meets half the standard you guys did it will be 5 star! 🔥🔥

We wanted pints at mad hours of the morning, but we couldn't get them, this was probably beneficial to both of us though.

A last minute replacement when my original Booking.com apartment double booked me at 5pm on a Friday evening on the busiest weekend (oasis gig) 😡 Completely stuck & with no help from Booking.com customer services, the castlefied luckily had 2 twin rooms available. Cuatious they had rooms, What a relief to find to find the Hotel was close to the town centre, clean & then greeted by Friendly helpful staff which was welcome after the panic of potentially being stranded with no accommodation. The bar area is cracking & outside seating over looking the canal. Room are clean beds are comfy & a good shower perfect.

Nothing will stay again

Staff went above and beyond for my daughters birthday, everyone wished her a happy birthday and even got her a treat and a card (this absolutely wasn’t expected but she’s spoke about it every day since). The room we stayed in was slightly dated, however it was impeccably clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, plenty of room for us to move around, get ready etc, no outside noise due to 2 x windows, black out curtains made for the perfect night sleep after a long day at a concert and travelling. There really isn’t anything to complain about, 20 minutes walk to the Arndale centre or half that time in an uber/taxi. We didn’t use the facilities in the hotel but the bar downstairs looked very clean and modern.

The only thing I could negatively say is that the rooms (especially the bathroom) were outdated, however, didn’t effect use at all. Pricing for car parking wasn’t shown anywhere when I booked, however it was £18 for 24 hours, I’m unsure if that is cheap/expensive, as I’m not from the area and even in our local big city I don’t pay even half of that for 24 hours at hotels. So bare that in mind when booking as this is added on if you park in the hotel carpark (it’s a secure carpark with cameras however)

I had a room that faced the canal side, even though I didn't get the full view, it was still nice. I couldn't figure out how to operate the overall light switches when I inserted my card, so I had to call reception. They were so quick to resolve it. Fantastic location as it's so close to the Science and Industry Museum, only 20-minute walk to Manchester City Centre. Spoilt for choice for food. Friendly staff, which is the best. Easy to park your car and it's a reasonable price. I have been to Manchester many times and in different seasons - never fail to spot something new to try.

Breakfast offered a wide range from cereals to cooked English. The room was clean and good. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities and bar food were excellent. The car park was convenient and affordable. The location was good, though there was some noise from the adjacent road, it didn't disrupt sleep. The hotel is next to the canal and near the convention centre, bars, and restaurants.

The pillows were too soft, causing a stiff neck in the morning A negative point was the noise made by children on what seemed like a school trip, running through corridors and banging doors and what sounded like kicking a ball in their room.

Decent room with 3 single beds (hard to find) and windows that open. Great location in a trendy area with good shops, museum and interesting buildings. Parking at £15 a cinch. The leisure facilities were great, can't beat a morning swim. More than anything else, the staff made all the difference. Lauren on reception at like 1am was charming. The pool receptionist lady who told us off for diving did so with grace and warmth. Everyone we dealt with was fab. Thanks for having us!

Room was clean apart from some popcorn i found when I moved the bed to be closer to some shelving (no side table). I've had tastier sausages, egg and mushrooms. The bacon, like everything else at breakfast, was on-point.

Loved the location, the room was simple but adequate , lovely and clean. I’m a believer that £200+ is an extortionate rate for a one night stay, but it seems to be the new normal now , I would say the price is a reach . Not really great you have to pay near £20 to park for the 24hrs in the hotel car park ?? We’re guests surely it should be free, but again seems to be something we accept as normal now . Coffee machine was out of action, they had another one behind the bar but said they couldn’t use that one unless we paid an extra cost, which seemed daft. If one machine is broken and you’ve got another … use it ?! I d stay again , bed was comfortable which is important , nice little bathroom , views of the city .

Loved how the staff were very polite and very helpful,,loved the pool and sauna ect , thought it was excellent value for money , really enjoyed the breakfast, rooms very clean and very comfortable , we had a fab time in the hotel, its was well worth the money with the facilities and the location,

Well the only criticism I have is the price for parking at £18 a day I thought was quite costly, also the ticket machine in the carpark going out is quite hard to reach and I moved a bit nearer to try and get the ticket scanned and I sadly didn't see the metal post near the ticket machine and I scraped the door handle on the drivers door and dinted the door of the car as the metal post wasn't bright enough with hazard tape , and it is a brand new car 😕 😢 😳, that's all the criticism I have , room for improvement is the hazard tape on the metal post needs to be much brighter 😀 👍 and a slight reduction in the price of the carpark otherwise fantastic thankyou the staff are a credit to the hotel plus I like the fact that it's for a good cause as well 😀

Room was good, the Breakfast was good, and location good for what we were attending

I booked this hotel purely on the fact of car park, i didnt realise there was a £18 charge that was a bit of a shock Hotel was good, apart from one thing, because it was a hot night the only way to regulate any heat was to slightly open a window, as i did this the smoke alarm went off, i stood there wondering what to do and realised it was only my room then it turned off, i was expecting either a call from reception or a knock on the door but nothing, iv never known a alarm go off for that reason
