My room was excellent. It was spacious, tastefully decorated and my en suite was very luxurious. Bridget, who I’d kept waiting for 2 hours, was incredibly understanding, welcoming and kind. She appeared to have all the time in the world for me! She provided me with great recommendations for my (numerous) questions. The room The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. The bathroom had luxurious towels and body products. I had a great armchair to relax. The fridge provided lots of chilled water or I could have had hot drinks (I didn’t!). Breakfast was very good quality with lots of choice. After 4 days of inns I was pretty jaded but this breakfast was memorable for its flavours, choice and service. This BnB definitely lives up to its description and reviews. I’ll definitely be back. Well done Bridget, you’re doing an amazing job here!!

The breakfast was freshly made by Bridget each morning, and was tailored to our preferences on the day. The location was very secluded, with the view from the bedroom window being a small area of the garden. It is a 3 minute walk to the High Street, where there are a variety of shops and restaurants, some of which provide really excellent food - thanks to Bridget for the recommendations, and also for her knowledge of the Cotswolds suggesting places we might enjoy visiting, which we definitely did.

We wish our stay could have been longer!

This delightful gem is tucked just off the main area of Shipston. We loved that it was centrally located, as it was a great home base to our Cotswold explorations. Bridget provided us with perfect recommendations, no matter which way we were headed. Our room and en suite was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. We also loved the delicious breakfasts, with local meats and homemade bread and jams. Coming from the US, it can be hard to know where to stay—but I have no reservations about recommending the Old Kiln House.

Nothing! It was lovely.

A beautiful room with lots of extra touches for our comfort. Lovely quality toiletries, tea and coffee with fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits. On arrival Bridget was very welcoming, offering us a drink accompanied by delicious flapjack. Breakfast was at our leisure- again a lovely welcome and good quality, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked. Nothing was too much trouble, a super stay - thank you.

Nothing negative to add.

Absolutely beautiful courtyard garden with spaces to sit and relax. The welcome drink by the fountain was heaven. Bridget is an excellent host and the whole property was spotless with lovely bedding and thick white towels. The period features gave the ground floor room a room a very interesting ambience and a change from modern hotel style. The Old Kiln House is a marvellous centre for exploring the Cotswolds - nowhere is far to drive to and the roads in mid July were so quiet. There are plenty of individual places to eat in Shipston on Stour and not a corporate outlet to be seen!!

The only negative comment I would give is that the steps down from the bed onto uneven flagstones were a little hazardous for older people (we were able to dim the lights so we could see during the night to go to the bathroom), and the shower in the bath is also better suited to the more nimble!! However it was an enjoyable experience!

Loved the breakfast, freshly prepared and local produce. The homemade jam was a favourite! The room was perfect, comfortable ambience and easily accessible. Enjoyed the courtyard for some quiet time.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but if being super picky, would have liked a little more milk in the fridge (we’re tea aholics) although we didn’t ask and I’m sure it would have been sorted if we did.

This is a beautiful B&B and a testament to Bridget and her family. Bridget is the perfect host - amazing hospitality, makes a lovely breakfast and was very helpful. We loved our room. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We felt really welcome here and would definitely return if we are in the area again. Will also be recommending to family and friends. Thank you Bridget 😊

Nothing that we didn't like.

Whenever you see something described as a "hidden gem" you'd be forgiven for thinking that little-or-no thought had gone into its description, however, sometimes, that's exactly what something is. In fact, so much so, that I'm almost reluctant to sing Bridget's praises for fear that this "gem" won't stay "hidden", however, you've gotta think of the bigger picture. Highly recommended.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Old Kiln House B&B and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The place was simply charming, and everything was kept immaculately clean. It's clear that the owners take great pride in the upkeep of the property. Bridget, the host, was an absolute delight. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome and was always available to offer advice and assistance whenever we needed it. Her warm hospitality was truly a highlight of my stay. The breakfast served at The Old Kiln House was a real treat. The food was delicious, and Bridget made sure that everything was nicely presented. It was a great way to start the day. Overall, I would highly recommend The Old Kiln House B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable, charming and welcoming place to stay. The combination of clean, cozy accommodations, friendly hospitality, and delicious breakfast makes for an unbeatable experience. I would definitely stay here again in the future

Bridget was a wonderful host. She messaged us prior to our arrival to ensure we had the directions to the property. She greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home. The property was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and really comfy. Really well located for the town. Breakfast was delicious. Bridget cooks a super selection and we felt really well looked after.
