The bed was wonderful and bathtub nice and deep. Floor was clean. Bed linens lovely and spotless. Towels soft and thick. The windows opened for fresh air; such a nice thing to be able to do. The decor at this hotel is just so cool. We didn't have time to visit the bar this trip, but it's been great on other visits.

I realize finding staff to clean hotel rooms is a challenge post-covid and with immigrants being threatened (April 2025) so the cleanliness was imperfect, but not awful. Stains on a couch cushion were not nice. Walls had a few marks and some wall-paper was peeling in bath area. The frig had a sign that said removing things would auto-deduct money, but there was actually nothing in the frig (I prefer that anyhow as I am always needing cooling space). TV kept coming back on - very odd. I finally turned off power strip.

the people who work at this hotel are exceptional. some of the nicest people you could meet! it's a beautiful place to stay. our room was excellent, spacious with very comfortable beds. we appreciated the convenience of the restaurant, coffee shop and bar all located in the hotel as we were unfamiliar with the area. also appreciated, the shuttle service to and from the Brewer's game. we had a great stay & many thanks to the staff. they made this place really special.

It was like stepping back in time. I was in the middle of a 12 day road trip and this was the most comfortable bed and coldest AC. The staff was superb. The bartender was on point. The location wasn’t great BUT you can park your car in the parking structure and they have a van service that will take you almost anywhere in a 3 mile radius except the airport which leaves you free to sample all the breweries and even a Brewers game.

The TV wasn’t ideal. I think it was Roku or similar. Whenever you turned it on it blasted full volume. Not ideal at 5:30am. Since the med was right next to a window there should really be more light blocking. All around the edges. I doesn’t usually bother me but this was right next to my head. I really had to think about something I didn’t like.

This place is an absolutely gorgeous art deco masterpiece. There is so much to look at just in the lobby of this place. If you appreciate early 1920's architecture The Ambassador is a must see. The king room is very spacious and the bathroom was almost unnecessarily large, but that's hardly something to complain about. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The onsite bar is very stylish and well stocked. This hotel also features a very nice looking restaurant on the first floor, unfortunately we got back too late to try it out. There is also a Starbucks attached to the lobby for a quick coffee on your way out. This hotel is also conveniently located right across the street from the Rave / Eagles Ballroom concert venue.

I wouldn't call it a negative but also of note is that the fifth floor is supposedly hunted due to a well known serial killer committing his first murder there. Coincidentally that room doesn't have a room number or key card lock on the door. The only other odd thing I can comment on is the excessive amount of telephones in the room. Our king room had five phones in it! My wife thought the apocalypse had come when all five phones rang at once because our food order had come.

This is my second time staying at the Ambassador. We were heading to the Rave to see Steve Aoki, so staying at the Ambassador was a must. This hotel never disappoints. From the staff to the room, excellent! Comfie beds and those pillows .... delightful. Love Gin Rickey, who has the best bartender, hands down!! Can't forget the Deco Cafe! Had breakfast before we left in the morning, delicious! And the staff at Deco Cafe were just a delight. Another great stay!

the art deco style really drew me to this location. the lobby was well maintained. both the dining area and bar were also in tip top shape. the staff were absolutely amazing! I didn’t meet one person on the staff that didn’t greet me with a smile or ask how my stay was going. did I mention the property has a complementary shuttle? shout out to Taurus and his welcoming demeanor and professionalism. he was an added plus to the experience at this location.

we booked a king room and the blinds were broken in the bathroom and the overall room had a musty dusty ambience. I knew booking the hotel it wasn’t going to be “modern” so that wasn’t a huge deal for me. adding a refrigerator/microwave to the rooms would make huge difference to me and other guests. I personally hate having warm beverages or having to ice them up. that little difference would have made the other things not such a big deal.

The decor was beautiful, the main halls and the room was very clean. The "old" vibe but very well maintained and clean was a unique experience. Staff was pleasant and kind. The security was nice given the area.

No vending machines to try to force the use of the expensive mini bar. I reserved a double queen months in advance and they had none when I arrived. They did fix the problem but still, annoying. And parking. I was aware of the cost but I still think it's ridiculous to charge paying guests to park. There's no security in the parking garage, the elevator doesn't work so really, it was a hassle.

The Ambassador Hotel was a GREAT location for the purposes of my travel to Milwaukee! It was my first trip to Milwaukee, WI and I couldn't have picked a better hotel. I came for the "Escape from Wiscansin Festival", and the hotel was right across the street from the venue that the hotel was held at -- PERFECT! I didn't have to pay for parking for the festival, because I received parking through the hotel. I loved how friendly the hotel staff was! The manager on duty the nights that I was there remembering my name and continuously checked in with my husband and I to make sure that we were having a great experience. We were a bit leery of the elevators at first (because of the heavy door) but overall, it was a cool experience and the elevators worked just fine! I absolutely loved the Cafe and the Bar/Restaurant -- the 95th anniversary chocolate cake was AMAZING! We ordered three slices and did NOT want to share with each other, hahaha. The lady in the cafe made my Starbucks drink perfectly and was very friendly! Overall, amazing experience! I'll stay at the Ambassador Hotel next time I come to WI. Thank you!

The shuttle driver went above and beyond his duties.givingbusvhisvphone number, standing on the street making sure we found him and the van. The bartender staying open for us so we could get a drink after the concert. Great little cafe. Gorgeous and comfortable rooms. It was incredible ❤️

Although it has a bit of a dark past it’s still a beautiful old hotel. Loved it! Will stay again. We took the shuttle for our concert this last Sat and our driver afterwards even interacted with our packed van to music. It was like a mini after party on the way back to the Ambassador. He was friendly and awesome! Hope to have him again next time!

Which it had a pool and hot tub but then again with getting back so late and checking out the next morning you really don’t have the time anyways.
