This family-run guesthouse is indeed 'retro'-style in an old building, as is everything inside it. Expect to step back in time! The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the bed was comfortable. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Our special request for was catered for immediately after the booking. The breakfast absolutely exceeded our expectations - so much choice (even home-made smoothies, pancakes and granola)! Even those who are unable to make the breakfast in the morning are catered for. It is convenient to get to the centre of Turku by bus (the bus stop is close). Highly recommended! We already recommended to our friends. The single room we had was pretty small, but if you just need a place to sleep, it is sufficient. The twin room had more space, and also loads of storage.

This is a minor thing. At night it was fairly warm (it is summer!), and it would have been nice to keep the window open, but the sound of the traffic might have disturbed sleep, so didn't take the chance. (Having said that, it would have quietened down later on). Got a good night's sleep regardless. (The guesthouse itself was very quiet, despite being fairly full). A second reading light would be handy in the twin room.

The owners were lovely and very helpful and caring. They even personally heated the sauna for us and accommodated our dog very well. They offered us to relax in the yard which is very cozy.

Wonderful breakfast, excellent coffe (best so far in Finland), charming host family. Don't judge the place from the exterior. Comfortable beds.

No fuss or frill. Really good quality, nutritious breakfast with a kitchen and bathroom close to the room.
