Check in smooth with lovely reception staff. Rooms are beautiful with every amenity you need. Pool is excellent with attentive staff. Very secure and convenient location. Mall includes a food court and supermarket with alcohol section.

Ordering food and drinks on a pay as you go basis seemed to be confusing for the staff. The menu prices weren't up to date. Items from our order were missed so things ended up coming at different and inconvenient times. I think staff might be used to people having buffet food included in their booking, and could benefit from giving pay as you go guests a better experience.

Very nice front of house, bar, and restaurant staff. 10/10 customer service. Buffet delicious with many food options. Pool and bar area very nice.

Rooms quite small and not very comfortable to relax in (no sofa or armchair). Bathroom slightly dirty, shower not deep cleaned. Also wasn’t provided with shampoo/conditioner, only body lotion and bar soap.

Among other Marriot Courtyards I have been with is this the lowest ranked. The overall, the rooms, the pool area, beddings and towels in the room was all of poor quality garment, and design, that I have seen in other places in the Marriot chain. The team tuning is the best and very much service minded and attentive. The breakfast and food is outstanding and well made.

Among other 5 star hotels in Colombo - my favorit is still Shangri-La. I’ve tried a few of them for the past 20 years in coming to Colombo.

location was great, if you're up for it, lot's to see within walking distance; food was awesome, buffet breakfasts & dinners or, a la carte, extensive menu catering for all desires; cleanliness of room very good, couldn't fault it; gym spacious with good equipment, staff attentive, kept the place spotless; shout out to Ama in the Beira cafe, and room cleaner Lakshan

one staff member in cafe didn't know what French toast was....really?

The hotel is in a very central location in Colombo, near all the main attractions. It features a beautiful pool which comes in handy if you want to relax after arriving. The staff was nice enough to allow us to use the pool before our check in time. The breakfast buffet is extremely well stocked with international and Sri Lankan options.

The check-in process was quite slow Cleanliness was not perfect You can probably get a similar experience for cheaper by going in a smaller, local hotel

The location was excellent for seeing the city. The buffet breakfast was delicious. We ate dinner at the hotel one evening and the food was nice but had to be discussed with the chef because there were limited vegan options on the menu. It was great that the chef was able to discuss this with us and adapt dishes. The rooms are very modern, clean, and the bed is comfortable. We used Uber around the city/airport/stations etc and there were always cars/tuks within 1 minute of the hotel.

I was a bit annoyed at check in that the receptionist ticked a box on the check in form. I later realised I had been signed up for their rewards club and started to receive a lot of spam emails. I think she should have asked if I wanted to join rather than ticking the form for me without asking. This seemed unprofessional. The bathroom has an odd design. It is open to the rest of the room. The doors can be closed but there isn’t a separate door for the toilet. Consequently you cannot use the wardrobe, which is located in the bathroom, because the clothes would get damp. There could be more vegan options in the buffet and on the dinner menu.

I liked the fact that the hotel gave a rejuvenating experience at the heart of the city. The staff was exceptionally trained. Malith at the guest relations desk was very helpful and at my assistance. He is well trained and resourceful making the guest experience brilliant. He is an asset to the hotel. Hashan from sales and marketing was also adept at showcasing all facilities at the hotel. Overall great place to stay if you need to relax and detox at the heart of the city.

very gentle and smiley staff , nice view from the pool , the mall was on the first 8 floors and that makes the shopping very easy . the breakfast has sri lankan and more asian tastes , clean and safe. very important for me , free car parking with security . recommended

maybe a better food taste rotation , the location was good but not the best in Colombo (the best for me is by the sea , near to one gale face ) . the fruits variety is limited . they use local spirits for bthe cocktails but if you tell the barman what do you want exactly they do

Good breakfast, nice modern room

Mixed up by the check-in staff. The room was including breakfast, but during check-in, I was told no breakfast and taken an advance on my credit card. Even with advance, I still have to pay cash, and after rechecking, breakfast was actually included in my booking . Big screw up, I would say.

Excellent service, friendly and resourceful staff. The hotel is very well located, near plenty of options for restaurants and shops. Big, comfortable rooms and good variety and quality of food

Nothing in particular. Had no opportunity to go to the pool or gym, so I can not say how they are.
