I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Grady. The property is very beautiful and well-kept. An interesting combination of history and modern touches. My checkin with Kevin was excellent. I had several excellent meals at the Wild Swann restaurant below the hotel. Mark was a friendly and excellent server and made me feel right at home. The breakfast dishes I had were delicious. The location is quite good as well. It's walking distance to the Louisville Slugger museum, children's museum, and many restaurants and bourbon tasting rooms. I was born and raised in the south end of Louisville, and staying at The Grady was a welcome homecoming!

Parking is a bit of a challenge if you have a rental car and choose not to use the valet service. There is paid street parking. Also there are garages within a few blocks that are not super expensive. The hotel is in a cool historical downtown area and just not designed to have its own attached garage parking.

The Grady is located central to so many great restaurants and attractions. It is also close to the Leadership Center, making it an ideal stay for conferences. I was able to leave my bags with staff and pick them up with my car following my work conference down the street. The hostess and valet were polite, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hotel has so much charm and character. Rooms are small but don’t feel stuffy thanks to soaring ceiling heights. Robes and toiletries were an excellent touch.

No complaints at all! Ice availability on multiple floors would be nice but isn’t necessary.

We had an issue at check in when it was realized that they had given our room away on accident to a different person, however, they quickly fixed the situation, upgraded us, and then escorted us to our new room to ensure we could get in and that it met our expectations. When the weather prohibited us from leaving on our scheduled departure date, The Grady staff were very accommodating and helped us to secure an additional night's stay.

We stayed on a weekend of torrential rains and flooding and had a minor issue with water pressure and low water temperature that evening. However, by morning the water pressure and temperature had returned to normal.

The location was perfect for the Festival of Faiths that I was attending. It was right across the street from it. The hotel was beautiful inside with a friendly vibe. Kevin at the front desk was informative and friendly. Mark in their Wild Swan restaurant was very kind and personable assisting me with my food selections. Definitely try the dates wrapped in bacon. And I found Aviela (could be wrong on spelling of her name) to a warm soul who made sure my room stayed tidy.

Even though I liked the convenience of a tray table to pull out to eat my food on while watching TV, I would preferred to be able to watch TV from the upholstered chair.

Our stay at the Grady was exceptional. The location on Main Street was within walking distance to so many great restaurants and distillery venues. The staff was beyond amazing. Timothy went above and beyond all expectations. Regina and Marcola were always available and helpful. Even with the hiccup in our first room due to a lock software malfunction, the staff made sure that we were well satisfied. The view from our riverfront room was amazing. The room was extremely comfortable we had everything we needed including a steamer. The Wild Swann, located on site, had a great menu and even better bar. Dom made us fantastic drinks and is extremely knowledgeable about the area and local libations. Fresh coffee in the lobby each morning and wine in the afternoon was a real treat.

Not enough time on our vacation! The property is first class, driven by a wonderful staff.

The staff was so nice and personable. We love the environment and the decor. The food and drinks were exceptional. The planes flying overhead took some getting used to that night, but the beds were very comfy. Travis and Mark in the restaurant were wonderful servers. The lady who checked us in (I didn't get her name unfortunately) was so very nice and knowledgeable of the hotel and things going on nearby that we could enjoy.

The planes flying overhead took some getting used to.

This boutique hotel is very nice inside. The rooms have vaulted ceiling, which was really nice, especially since the room is smaller. It worked well for a one night stay with my spouse. The bathroom shower was very nice. Loved that it was close walking distance to the bourbon tasting (Definitely book at Bardstown Bourbon Co!) we were there for and the Louisville Slugger Museum. Parked in the parking garage next door for $22/night. Better than the valet option.

It felt like they should have had a dedicated light over the sink in the bathroom. Our light over the shower flickered. It would have been so nice if the large round light fixture over the bed was on a dimmer switch, because it was way too bright for the space. Cars race down the road in front of the hotel, so if you have a room on the front, like we did, it can get pretty loud. We travel with a sound machine to help with this.

The hotel is beautiful, the room was amazing and modern. The bathroom is gorgeous, and had all the amenities necessary. Great water pressure and quick hot water. They have blackout curtains which was also a plus! The bed is insanely comfortable, and I wanted to take those pillows home! It was like sleeping on marshmallows.

There is no room service. The restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday night, and they do not sell bottles of water. (Which is odd because housekeeping refreshes the room during turndown and replenishes the 2 par in the mini fridge). The daytime concierge is super friendly. Night concierge falls a sleep, so if you have a 3am checkout, knock on the door that says Admin Office next to the stand to wake them up.

Super friendly staff and location. We were assigned room 204 at check was dark small and no view. Moved to 502 which was large light with stunning view.. Kind of disturbing to know how different the experience could have been, grateful they moved us.

Lobby furniture is a little too eclectic for its own good, not cozy. Art and books are wonderful. Need a traditional check-in desk not oddly placed barrels, clerks look uncomfortable and awkward each time we entered. Perhaps make the secondary lobby something fuctional like two pool tables or darts instead of another unused sitting area. But a lovely hotel and staff in every way otherwise, Would definitely stay again!

Location was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. There is no quiet space for working, lobby is noisy and there is really no good seating aera in the room. Shower glass was not sealed and leaked all over the floor, the staff committed to getting it repaired. Nice evening drink provided in the lobby by the staff. I would stay again. Convenient parking on the street (parking meters), reasonable. Also a paid for parking lot across the street if you do not want Vallet parking.
